Beefeater Pink Gin 1.0L 37.5% Pink gin has long been nothing unusual. And so Beefeater is also getting on this track with a pink gin, following the trend of breaking new ground, influencing the taste of gin with a wide variety of botanicals and giving it a new color. The story behind Beefeater Gin The Beefeater Distillery in Kennington has been producing gin according to a well-guarded recipe since its beginnings in the early 1800s. The distillery's headquarters itself has a lot of history: The Beefeater Distillery is located in an Edwardian house, which was extended in the 1950s. The distillery also has pot stills from the Victorian era and a botanical room where all the fresh ingredients are kept. In the 1820s, a London pharmacist developed a way to make gin from herbs, plants, spices and a grain distillate. He developed a special distillation process for this. Beefeater Gin is named after a guard of the Tower of London (gatekeepers) and you can even see a small picture of one of these men on the gin bottle. Fruity taste Beefeater Pink brings a breath of fresh air to the range and is a tribute to the London underground club scene. It is based on the original Beefeater London Dry Gin and is refined with the strawberry flavor after distillation. An aromatic gin on the nose, spicy juniper notes and fresh, sweet strawberries create a floral elegance. In the mouth, surprisingly, a not so fruity gin. A creamy vanilla flavour is then revealed in combination with a pinch of pepper and berry notes, but the typical juniper flavour is definitely not lost! The citrus aromas of the London Dry Gin are particularly prominent in Beefeater Gin. These are complemented by the fresh and fruity strawberry notes. A light and sweet gin that brings warmth and sweetness to the finish.
Journeyman Bilberry Black Hearts Gin Miniature 0.05L 45% Journeyman Distillery History The history of the distillery actually begins in the Midwest of the USA. Having grown up there, Bill Welter moved to Scotland and discovered his love for single malt Scotch whisky. There he met Bill Lark, who owns the Tasmanian Lark Distillery, and gained experience that he still uses today in his Journeyman Distillery. In the summer of 2010, Bill Welter interned at the Koval Distillery in Chicago and learned how to make rye whisky there. Journeyman is pleased to be able to offer people hand-crafted spirits. All of the ingredients needed to make the whisky come from the Midwest region. The water is untreated and unfiltered and comes from the groundwater of Three Oaks. The Journeyman Distillery is housed in a historic building. It is located in an old factory in the town of Three Oaks (Michigan), where corsets were made until the late 19th century. After extensive renovation work, this now serves as the home of the whiskey distillery. Journeyman Bilberry Black Hearts Gin This gin is named after the well-known fruit bilberry and is a relative of the blueberry or huckleyberry (American blueberry). The whiskey has the additional name 'Black Heart' because the fruit was nicknamed "Black Heart" in the 19th century due to its dark color. In addition to the taste of the fruity blueberry, the gin has been refined with traditional botanicals such as juniper and lemon, as well as other ingredients such as bitter orange, cinnamon, coriander and angelica. The Journeyman Bilberry Black Hearts Gin is now also available in a pleasant sample size of 0.05L.

Generous Organic Gin Coriander & Combava 0.7L 44% (ORGANIC) A distiller's dream It all began with a vision of a brand that resembles the tree of life and produces the very best taste and inspires you with a variety of aromas. 'Generous' The name says it all: 'generous' means generosity and no expense was spared in this gin. Something special was already thought of in the bottle design and the gin, which was brought to market by the French company Ôdevie, is served in a beautifully decorated opaque glass bottle that is almost reminiscent of a kind of vase. At first glance, you associate a fresh gin with this appearance and that is exactly what you get with the Generous Gin Green. A light and fruity gin in which the juniper notes play a secondary role and above all the citrus notes play a significant role. Here there are mandarin and kaffir lime aromas. These aromas find their way into the gin exclusively through either maceration or distillation. On the palate there are also subtle undertones of red pepper, which give the whole thing a slight spice. The aromas in the Generous Gin Green Bio are precise and well-balanced and leave a lasting impression.

Nordes Atlantic Galician Gin 1.0L 40% Hype about juniper spirits The constantly increasing range of different gins seems to have no end. More and more spirits producers, primarily many small distilleries, seem to be riding the wave and are happy to deviate from the path of 'normal' gin production and create their very own gin world. This is how the producers of Nordés have managed to stand out from the crowd on the big market. Because instead of using an alcohol made from grain or molasses as a base, as is usual, they have conjured up a completely new gin from grapes. This convinces with a rather sweet, fruity aroma, which is of course still flavored with juniper in particular. 100% Galicia Nordés Atlantic Galician Gin is produced in Vedra, in Galicia, Spain. It is not just the location of production that contributes to a 100% Galician product, because the products used also all come from the Galicia region. And unlike most other types of gin, the base alcohol here is not a grain distillate, but wine from the regional white grape variety Albariño. This gin is distilled four times, with the final distillation taking place in one of the traditional copper stills, in which the 12 different botanicals of the Nordés Atlantic Galician Gin also melt with the base alcohol. The design of the bottle alone gives you hope for a fascinating gin. And that is exactly what it is. With a combination of botanicals such as eucalyptus, hibiscus, quinine, seaweed, broom, cardamom, liquorice and ginger, this gin has a very special note that leaves the typical juniper taste far in the background. This offers a very pleasant, fresh and very floral taste. A light spiciness accompanies the harmonious mixture of eucalyptus, sage, tea and spices together with juniper, which probably comes from the ginger used. Due to its surprising mildness, this gin is particularly convincing when drunk neat.
Hernö High Coast Terroir Gin 2018 0.5L 46.8% Hernö Hernö Distillery is the first gin distillery in Sweden. The story began with a passion for gin and the resulting dream of crafting your own gin. The distillery is based in Dala, somewhere almost in the middle of nowhere in Sweden and yet in the gin world, where the founder Jon Hillgren bought an old 18th century farm in 2011 and converted it into the Hernö Distillery with the support of his family. Dala has a natural beauty and always inspires with its diverse flora and fauna, which always gives Jon the strength to keep dreaming and turn these dreams into fantastic creations. In 2012, Hernö Gin was introduced in three local Systembolaget stores. People lined up to get a bottle of this incredibly good gin that everyone was talking about. In 2013, Hernö Gin became the most awarded gin at the International Gin Masters 2013 and thus achieved its international breakthrough. In order to meet the new high demand, the company had to expand. By selling shares to gin enthusiasts, a new distillery with a visitor center was built. Taste notes The distillery's award-winning gins are made exclusively from organically grown, natural botanicals. Only around 400 bottles of this edition, Hernö High Coast Terroir Gin, were bottled. In 2000, Sweden's High Coast was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Shaped by the last ice ages, you can find a great variety of flora and fauna there. It was precisely these extraordinary herbs, spices and berries that were intended to be brought to the customer in the Hernö High Coast Terroir Gin. All botanicals used for distillation were hand-picked on the High Coast. Rowan berries, willowherb, spruce shoots and hops are used in this gin. These are intended to give you the feeling of a leisurely walk in the forest and conjure up a piece of the rugged coast in the glass. On the nose you primarily smell juniper, on the palate it is more spicy and herbaceous, you can detect a slight sweetness from spruce shoots. Rowan berries and hops are more in the background, along with a little citrus freshness. In the finish, the juniper taste lingers on the palate with a pleasant sharpness. A gin that speaks of the landscape it comes from.

Ableforths Bathtub Sloe Gin 0.5L 33.8% Bathtub Gin If you translate 'Bathtub Gin' literally, this gin means 'bathtub gin' and is an allusion to the time of Prohibition in America. During this time, alcohol lovers tried everything possible to get their hands on a fine tipple. In the 1920s, many tried their hand at this field as amateurs. There were many poor quality variants, often consisting of a mixture of cheap wheat distillate and water, to which additional flavors had been added. If the bottles available at the time were too big to be filled under the sink, people would resort to the bathtub tap and often the alcohol was distilled in the bathtub at home. This is how the name 'Bathtub Gin' came about. The Bathtub Sloe Gin by Ableforth is a special edition of the Bathtub Gin. The gin is produced using the cold-compounded distilling process. It is a process that has almost been forgotten. It does not use heat and therefore achieves a much better aromatic fullness. The packaging of each bottle is special: Each bottle is wrapped by hand, tied and dipped in wax. Professor Cornelius Ableforth, who is behind this impressive gin, has selected a number of herbs and spices to combine with the sloes, including coriander, cinnamon, cloves and orange zest. The Bathtub Sloe Gin As soon as you open the bottle you are surprised by an incredibly fruity aroma. In combination with the spices used, the gin creates an association with freshly baked cake. The taste then surprises you with marzipan and juniper aromas. Berries, citrus fruit and vanilla meet oak and tannin to create a harmonious taste. Bathtub Sloe Gin impresses with a spicy and long finish. You should simply enjoy this sloe gin neat, best chilled in summer and warm in winter for a change.

Tanqueray Dry Gin Lovage Limited Edition 1.0L 47.3% Tanqueray Distillery Advertised as being the only distillery that still produces the typical English gin, the Tanqueray distillery has once again proven how much they understand the art of making gin. The Tanqueray Dry Gin Lovage reflects the tireless pursuit of perfection of the founder Charles Tanqueray, who was always and everywhere on the lookout for new inspiration. Not only did he find exotic and Far Eastern spices that were unloaded at the docks and that he encountered during his travels to the most remote areas of Europe and Asia. At some point he realized that the flora and fauna right on his doorstep also had something to offer. Throughout his life, Charles Tanqueray kept meticulous records of these discoveries and his ideas about them. This is how his documented idea for a recipe for 'Lovage' from 1893 was found for a gin that was to contain lovage. The gin was to have a balanced, aromatic taste made from exquisite ingredients of English origin. Tanqueray Lovage Today his passion for perfection is celebrated and presented to the world as a sign of his creativity. Lovage is a limited edition and is based on Tanqueray London Dry. As with every English gin, the main notes here are juniper. But it also has herbal and spicy notes in the taste. Floral notes and citrus aromas are rather restrained, which has a specific reason, because there is a special ingredient that is used in Lovage: lovage. The taste of the lovage is not too dominant and harmonizes perfectly with the basic aromas of the London Dry Gin. A large proportion of the botanicals used in Lovage come from the region and, if not from there, then definitely from the United Kingdom, and are intended to strengthen the connection to the country. The bottle design also stands out from the crowd. The green bottle that is otherwise typical for Tanqueray is replaced here by a clear bottle that is printed with pictures of the lovage plant to make it clear which herbal tones are in the foreground here.

Tanqueray Flor de Sevilla Gin 0.7L 41.3% Charles Tanqueray The founder of the gin brand Tanqueray was a pioneer in the search for the world's best gin and always up for good innovations. On his travels he got to know and appreciate botanicals from all over the world and this is how over 300 different recipes were created. On his countless travels, it is believed that around 1860, he also discovered Seville, which is known for its sun-drenched orange groves. Cross-country Tangueray Gin is one of the most popular types of gin in the world. So it is hardly surprising that the distillery is now once again appearing on the market with a product that is an absolute hit and should not be missing from any bar. Tanqueray Flor de Sevilla Gin is a skilful marriage of England and Spain. In 2018, Tanqueray Flor de Sevilla finally hit the shelves. It is made according to a recipe that is almost 140 years old. It is based on the classic Tanqueray London Dry Gin. This provides the perfect basis for the fruity gin, which takes you on a little trip to the Mediterranean and the orange plantations. Taste Tanqueray Flor de Sevilla Gin combines the Mediterranean aroma of bittersweet Seville oranges with the tried and tested English juniper brandy. There are no overly herbal or floral tones and the focus is on the harmony of juniper and orange. When you open the bottle, you are immediately greeted by the scent of fruity oranges and a hint of honey. This gin is therefore more in the fruity category, but without completely losing its connection to the tried and tested juniper taste! These aromas from the nose also remain on the palate, along with balanced juniper notes and a pleasant bitterness that a gin brings with it. The finish leaves a pleasant aftertaste of juicy, ripe oranges on the palate that makes you want more and is simply a must-have for warm summer evenings!!!

Tanqueray Dry Gin Rangpur Miniature 0.05L 41.3% Tanqueray Gin is now one of the world's most valued gin varieties. This is a very traditional brand from England and its roots can be traced back to 1830. Charles Tanqueray, the company founder, built a distillery in the London district of Bloomsbury in 1830. Gin of exclusive quality was produced there, which was quickly exported a good 15 years later. After Charles Tanqueray's death, his son Charles Waugh inherited the company and in 1898 the distillery merged with Gordon's Gin to form Tanqueray Gordon & Co. The brand quickly became a cult product in the United States and is used primarily in dry martinis. During German air raids in 1941, a large part of the distillery was unfortunately destroyed, but a still, which is still in use today, remained intact. Today, the majority of production takes place in Cameronbridge, Scotland, where a new site has been built. Tanqueray Dry Gin Rangpur This gin was created to offer customers a fruitier, milder alternative. Juniper, angelica root and coriander, the traditional botanicals of almost every gin, are enriched with ginger and Rangpur Limes. Rangapur Limes, what is it? Rangapur is a citrus plant and is believed to be a cross between a lemon/orange and a tangerine and probably comes from the Rangpur region of Bangladesh. These additional ingredients are only added to the gin during the final distillation process, so the aromas come out clearly in the taste. The taste is somewhat unusual for Tanqueray connoisseurs, because for a Tanqueray Gin there is a rather subtle juniper note. Because here the fruity notes of the Rangpur are clearly in the foreground. It is a brilliant choice to give the gin a unique, fruity and strong taste. Tanqueray Dry Gin Rangpur is a good alternative to normal dry gin and harmonizes perfectly with tonic water and a slice of lime.

Cubical Premium Special Dry Gin Kiss 0.7L 37.5% Origin The Cubical Gin range is the result of a collaboration between England and Spain. In 1920, the Langley Distillery, where the base alcohol is produced from English grain, was founded. The grain is distilled here in stills that are well over 100 years old. The marriage with the botanicals then takes place in the Bodega Williams & Humbert in Spain in the province of Andalusia. With a history spanning almost 140 years, the Bodega Williams & Humbert was founded in 1877 by Sir Alexander Williams and Arthur Humbert. They made a significant contribution to creating the designation of origin "Jerez-Xérès Brandy" and are one of the most influential manufacturers in the world. The bodega is one of the largest and most successful companies in the Jerez region. To date, Bodega Williams & Humbert sells its products in up to 80 countries worldwide. Cubical Premium Special Dry Gin Kiss The special bottles of the Cubical Gins are already an eye-catcher, but now the pink color immediately catches your eye, which is something you wouldn't expect from a dry gin. Cubical Premium Special Dry Gin Kiss is the youngest family member of the Cubical Gin range and is a combination of the eleven plants of the premium version and red fruits such as strawberries, raspberries and blueberries. In addition to the natural herbs and spices such as Buddha's hand (citron), juniper berries, coriander seeds and cassis bark, the water is taken from the surrounding groundwater area. Because the premium gin is rather neutral in taste and does not stand out with super exotic flavors, it is the ideal basis for a 'kiss' of berries. A light, dry and fruity gin on the nose. On the palate a very aromatic gin whose taste is entirely focused on the fruity, sweet notes of the berries. Served as a classic gin and tonic, it is a real treat if you like new, interesting combinations. Mixed with Seven Up or Sprit as a long drink or aperitif, especially in summer, it is an absolute highlight that you have to try!!!

Cubical Premium Dry Gin 0.7L 40% Gin of exceptional quality This gin is produced by the Langley distillery, which is based in Birmingham. It was founded in 1920 on old natural water sources. The Bodega Williams & Humbert, which is the bottler of Cubical Gin, was founded almost 140 years ago. With this gin, the Spanish company Bodegas Williams & Humbert has shown that British awareness of tradition and the addition of old and new, exotic ingredients absolutely pay off and was rightly awarded silver at the International Spirit Competition 2013. Bodgedas William & Humbert are actually known for exquisite sherries, wines and Dos Maderas rum. Now they have managed to add another top distillate to their product range. Some people may have stumbled across the cube-shaped bottle design several times. This is simply because Cubical London Dry Gin is not new - it is the former Botanic Gin. Production The base alcohol is produced in a small distillery called the Langley Distillery in Birmingham. The wheat used there also comes from the island. The actual flavoring then takes place in Spain. In addition to typical botanicals such as juniper and coriander, exotic, fruity plants such as mango, tangerine and an Asian citrus fruit with the funny name Buddha's Hand are added. Tasting The Premium London Dry Gin is a light and rather dry gin, which is characterized by herbal aromas of Chinese taro, juniper and almond shell as well as bergamot. On the nose a very light and dry gin. The main notes that stand out here are juniper and almond shell, but above all citrus aromas of Buddha's hand and orange as well as bergamot. On the palate a very soft aroma characterized by the botanicals contained. This gin is particularly good as a gin and tonic, but also leaves plenty of scope for mixing various other cocktails

Cubical Ultra Premium London Dry Gin 0.7L 45% A cube of gin The Birmingham Langley Distillery produces the base alcohol for Cubical Gin. It is distilled four times and made from the finest English grain. In addition to juniper, lily root powder, liquorice root and cassia tree, Buddha's hand was also used as flavoring botanicals, to name just a few of the extraordinary herbs. The combination of the base alcohol with the herbs and spices takes place in the famous wine cellar 'Bodega Williams & Humbert' in Spain, which is mainly known for its good sherry and wine. The gin is produced using a traditional British process in distillation equipment that is over a hundred years old. A special ingredient - Buddha's hand A main ingredient in all Cubical Gins is the citrus fruit Buddha's hand. The main growing areas are southern China and India. It is very aromatic, rich in essential oils and, in contrast to most other citrus fruits, less bitter. The fruit can be recognized by its unusual shape. It is divided into finger-like sections. Buddha's hand is often used as an offering in Buddhism. Tradition has it that Buddha himself preferred a closed citrus fruit because it more resembled a closed prayer hand. The design With a rather unusual and elegant design, the Cubical Gin stands out from the crowd with its bottle design and indicates the innovative spirit behind the three gins. The exterior immediately indicates the extravagant contents. The taste The nose is dominated by the fresh, fruity aromas of orange peel and Buddha's hand, then the spicy and earthy herbs and roots come through. As you might expect, the citrus notes come through more on the palate, but they are also subtly accompanied by juniper, liquorice and cassia. The alcohol is only slightly noticeable here, as the Ultra Premium Gin only has 45% ABV. This fruity gin is best served as the main ingredient in a good gin and tonic.

Kimerud Hillside Aged Gin 0.7L 42% Kimerud Gin Kimerud products are characterized by the climatic and geographical peculiarities of the Norwegian landscape. Kimerud can be translated as 'hillside' and comes from a small, rural distillery in the hills near Lier. What once began as a hobby for Ståle Håvaldsen Johnsen has now developed into his own company. After he and his family bought the Kimerud farm and built a distillery there, everything took its course. The isolation and the clean, smog-free air are a major advantage for the production of Kimerud Gin, because a lot of value is placed on the ingredients here. At the Kimerud farm, almost all plant components are grown organically in order to ensure consistently good quality from seed to harvest to the finished product. In addition, the cold climate allows the herbs and berries to grow particularly slowly, so that they have to use up all their energy, thus contributing to the plants' very intense flavor. Master distiller Ståle Håvaldsen and his team use 22 different botanicals, only a few of which are known. Some of these are coriander, quince, rosemary, walnut, mint, ginger and citrus fruits. Plants are also used that were already considered food and medicinal remedies in the Viking Age. The potato alcohol base is distilled five times in an Arnold Holstein still and is then diluted with pure mountain water to the desired drinking strength. Tasting The first thing that catches the eye is the golden yellow color. The base is Kimerud Gin, which gets its unusual color from a six-month maturation phase in old sherry and French oak barrels that previously contained HÅVALDSEN Aquavit. This naturally also affects the taste of the gin, which reflects the aromas of the aquavit and the sweetness of the sherry. Storage in the sherry barrels also brings notes of vanilla. This gin is proof that Norwegian or, in general, Scandinavian distilleries should not be underestimated!

BCN Gin 0.7L 40% Gin from Barcelona Spanish gins have been able to establish themselves on the shelves of the markets for some time now. This now includes the 'Prior Barcelona Dry Gin' - BCN Gin from southern Catalonia. BCN is the abbreviation for Barcelona Airport, the capital of Catalonia and not far from the Priorat. The BCN Gin is a dedication to Barcelona because almost nowhere else is as much gin and tonic enjoyed as in the Spanish capital. The motto behind this juniper schnapps "Distilled in the Priorat - enjoyed in Barcelona" reflects exactly this. Just like the ingredients, which mainly come from the region, such as the grapes used, which come from a wine-growing region in Priorat, and water from the "Font del Mas Petit", the in-house spring. Grapes as the basic raw material for the distillate The basis of this Mediterranean gin is Carignan and Grenache grapes, from which first-class wine is also made in the region. The region around Priorat is known for its barren slate soils and the intense sunlight, which allows the grapes to reach their full potential and gives the wine a strong complexity. The pomace that remains after wine production is then distilled in an Arnold Holstein distillery from Germany. With its slightly different botanicals for flavoring the neutral alcohol, the BCN Gin stands out from the crowd. Herbs such as rosemary and fennel are used, all of which come from the mountainous region south of Barcelona and give the brandy its Mediterranean character. Sweet figs bring fruity notes. The carefully balanced ingredients are rounded off with citrus fruits from the south of Catalonia. When you open the bottle, a sweet aroma hits your nose, followed by Mediterranean herbs that immediately give you the feeling of being somewhere by the sea. The taste is exceptionally good. Juniper, grapes and citrus fruits are perfectly balanced. The spicy notes and the sweet fig are also clearly noticeable. In conclusion, it can be said that a premium gin of the highest class has been created here, which every gin lover should definitely try!!!

Harahorn Gin Miniature 0.05L 46% History Harahorn Gin is named after a Norwegian mountain in Hemsedal, where the wonderful juniper berries are harvested, and after a Norwegian legendary figure that no one has seen to this day. Known in North America as a 'jackalope', and called 'Harahorn' in Norway, it refers to a horned hare. After a production monopoly for alcohol existed in the Nordic countries, which was lifted for Norway in 2005, the former Puntervold / Agder Brenneri (now Det Norske Brenneri) was able to operate its production and barrel storage facilities in Grimstad in the south of Norway. They mainly produced apple wine and the caraway schnapps that is popular in the Scandinavian countries. They were the first private distillery after 80 years of state monopoly. Harahorn Gin The long summer days and the dark, cold winter nights create the perfect climatic conditions for the berries and herbs used in Harahorn Gin. Alcohol from potatoes forms the basis here. In addition, only selected, regional botanicals are used, with which the producers have experimented for a long time. In addition to the juniper from Røros, these include blueberries from Nordmarka on the outskirts of Oslo and seaweed from the city. This gin is produced in relatively small equipment with a capacity of 300 liters and is therefore a very special gin with each distillation process. Harahorn Gin can now be found not only in delicatessens and specialty stores. It can also be found above the clouds. SAS Flights has added the Scandinavian gin to its range. The guests on board should be offered a unique experience and so the Harahorn Gin joins the diverse selection of artisanal drinks on board. Tasting Don't be fooled by the typically clear appearance of this gin: clear aroma of juniper and citrus fruits on the nose. A surprisingly deep taste. In addition to the unmistakable juniper berries, spicy notes round off the overall picture of the gin and convince in the finish with the lasting freshness of the citrus fruits.

Harahorn Gin 0.5L 46% Newcomer from Norway Again and again you have to realize that small, artisanal businesses become something really big and that it's not just the big market leaders that get all the attention. This is also the case with this new release from the small Norwegian Det Norske Brenneri. A harmonious gin from Scandinavia that is very special just because of its origin, as the Nordic countries are not exactly known for juniper schnapps. The Harahorn Gin comes from a distillery called Puntervold/Agder Brenneri that was founded in 2005 and renamed Det Norske Brenneri in 2011. After the first single malt whiskey was created in 2012, the handcrafted Harahorn Gin followed in autumn 2015. As co-founder Odd Johan Nelvik says, it took them a year to find the perfect combination of juniper and blueberry. This harmony is what makes this gin such a distinctively Nordic gin. In addition to juniper and blueberries, lemon and orange peel, nectarine and rhubarb are also used. The use of rhubarb also has a long history: The distillery is located in Grimstad on the southeast coast of Norway. Rhubarb wine used to be made there. The producers thought it would be great to somehow hold on to this tradition, so they added rhubarb. The herbs and berries used in the gin all come from the Norwegian wilderness. The harsh climatic conditions give them a taste that is only found in a few places in the world. The distillery also works with botanist Rolv Hjelmstad from Urtekilden in Oppdal. When producing Harahorn Gin, only small batches of around 300 L are produced per distillation process in order to maintain absolute control over the excellent quality of this gin. The taste The main aromas are clearly evident on the nose: juniper and citrus. On the palate, Harahorn Gin is also characterized by fresh nuances of creeping juniper, fruit and spices. Light notes of blueberries can be tasted, which makes everything a little fresher and sweeter. A very refreshing, long-lasting finish!

Kongsgaard Raw Gin 0.7L 44% The Kongsgaard Raw Gin was developed by the namesake, the married couple Søren and Bettina Kongsgaard, and is handmade in Cognac, France. The two came to gin production from not entirely unrealistic jobs: Søren worked in export and sales and had good connections to the apple industry. Bettina, on the other hand, worked in marketing. Since they both have a penchant for good food and excellent drinks and noticed how Gin Mark has become increasingly popular in recent years, they decided that they would like to bring a gin with a Danish character onto the market themselves. The idea behind this gin: to recreate the structure of an oak tree. From the fruit to the trunk to the roots. All notes should be reminiscent of something in the structure of the tree: a solid, earthy base and fruity top notes. Cognac is distilled in copper stills with an open flame, which have been used for several centuries to make the famous gin. Attention to detail and craftsmanship are at the forefront of production. The ingredients The couple sources the juniper from Bulgaria, where a special variety grows that has a stronger taste and aroma, but is also mild and sweet due to a high invert sugar content. The use of local apples from orchards on the southern islands of Denmark, which can change from production to production, reflects the balance between sweet and sour in the apples, which they get from the colder climate. Bottled in dark green bottles with fine copper details, reminiscent of distillation in the old copper stills. The bottle is sealed with a wine cork. This makes this bottle stand out even in the extensive world of gin. From each bottle you can see which type of apple was used and in which year it was harvested. Tasting Taste: A unique mixture of components ranging from charred oak to tree resin to fruity, sweet apples. Nose: Sweet apple, juniper notes and citrus stand out here, juniper and liquorice are also present. Taste: The taste of apples is also clearly evident here, the citrus taste is highlighted by ginger and galangal. The aftertaste is long and intense with traces of cinnamon and ginger.

An Dulaman Irish Maritim Gin 0.5L 43.2% Sliabh Liag Distillery The Sliabh Liag Distillery has set itself the task of continuing the distilling heritage of Donagal by building the first distillery in over 170 years. With a great passion for Irish whiskey from authentic brands, the founders want to give their version of the legends and stories surrounding The Donagal Gaeltacht. Last year, Silkie Blended Irish Whiskey was introduced and the An Dúlamán Irish Maritime Gin distillery was launched in a rented building nearby. The construction phase continues and the distillery wants to continue to expand. The Sliabh Liag Whiskey Distillery wants to grow on a 20 hectare site in order to be able to produce up to 400,000 litres of triple distilled single malt and pot still whiskey annually. The distillery is targeting two spirits sectors that have enjoyed increasing growth in recent years. Firstly, Irish whiskey, which has been the fastest growing spirits category over the last 7 years, and secondly, super premium gin, which has scored points with the most unusual recipes. An Dulaman Irish Maritime Gin The premium Dulaman Irish Maritime Gin is the first gin to be distilled in County Donegal. It is produced near the coast at the foot of the Sliabh Liag. Boe Scottish Gin 0.7L 41.5% Boe Gin inspired by an early Genever recipe Boe Gin is inspired by a historical recipe by Franz de la Boe, also known as Dr. Silvius, who in turn is often referred to as the creator of gin, although this is often doubted in many places. In any case, the famous chemist, physiologist and anatomist worked in 1650 on the extraction of essential oils from juniper berries by infusing them in high-proof alcohol - juniper berries were long considered an effective remedy for kidney problems.Boe called his tonic Jenever, derived from the Dutch word "jenerverbes" for juniper, and his drink quickly became a popular medicine for the aforementioned kidney problems and also to lift the general mood through alcohol consumption. Boe Gin - Scottish Gin from Scotland Boe Gin is made in the Scottish village of Doune with 13 hand-picked botanicals, including wild cassia bark from the Scottish island of Skye. Distillation takes place in Carterhead stills, which are extremely rare these days, and a complex steam infusion process. In this complex process, the aromatic substances of the herbs, barks and spices used are combined with the grain alcohol used while they are evaporated. This means that the botanicals are treated gently and cannot overheat, while the fragile oils extracted retain their full aroma. The botanicals also used in Boe Gin include coriander seeds, angelica root, ginger, orris root (a form of lily), grains of paradise, orange and lemon peel, cardamom seeds, liquorice, almonds, cubeb pepper and cassia bark, also known as Chinese cinnamon and one of the oldest known spices in the world. This is what you can expect from Boe Gin Boe Gin has beautiful floral notes on the nose, accompanied by tones of herbs, pine and exotic vanilla. Wonderfully complex on the palate with a variety of impressions. Notes of herbs, lavender, spices such as cinnamon, angelica and again vanilla. Boe Gin is strong and intense and with its 41.5% ABV it is no lightweight. The aftertaste is warming without leaving too much room for the alcoholic burn. Boe Gin forms an exquisite base for a refreshing gin & tonic and was recently the clear favorite in several gin tastings.

Nikka Coffey Gin 0.7L 47% The history of Nikka The Nikka company can look back on an exciting history. The group was founded in 1934 by the then forty-year-old Masataka Taketsuru, who went to Glasgow as a student in 1918 and during this time studied at the Lagavulin, Craggellachie and Hazelburn distilleries and brought this knowledge back to Japan to work there - under the direction of Shinjiro Torii - as production manager for the Yamazaki Distillery. In 1929 the two finally brought the first Japanese whisky onto the market before Taketsuru went into business for himself in 1934 and produced his first own whisky with the help of a small pot still in the city of Yoichi on the Japanese northern island of Hokkaido, which finally came onto the market in 1940. During the war, Taketsuru was forced to produce alcohol for war purposes and after this time things slowly but steadily went uphill and Nikka now ranks second among Japanese whisky producers behind Suntory. In addition to the original distillery, since 1969 production has also taken place in a much larger distillery in Miyagikyo Prefecture, which is also where Nikka Coffey Gin comes from. Nikka Coffey Gin Nikka Coffey Gin is made using 11 botanicals, which include juniper, coriander, lemon peel, orange peel and angelica root, as well as the citrus plants Amanatsu, Yuzu, Shīkuwāsā and Kabosu, as well as apple juice and Sansho pepper. On the nose and palate, the Nikka Coffey Gin shows a finely integrated citrus aroma and a strong juniper note as well as an enormous complexity that is very rarely found in the gin sector. For us, the Nikka Coffey Gin is one of the few gins that we think is worth tasting neat, although it does give high-quality cocktails like the Martini Dry that certain something and these stand out from the mass of standard drinks with the Nikka Coffey Gin as an ingredient.

Burleighs London Dry Gin Pink Edition 0.7L 40% The story of Burleighs Gin Burleigh's Gin is produced in the 45 West Distillery, which is located deep in the Charnwood Forest, Leicestershire, England within the Bawdon Lodge Farm. This farm could visually have come straight out of a fairytale and is surrounded by a beautiful, expansive landscape. This is where Master Distiller Jamie Baxter, who is responsible for Burleighs London Dry Gin, works. Master Distiller Jamie Baxter gathered the inspiration for the recipe for Burleighs London Dry Gin during long walks in the surrounding forests. Here he came across elderberry, iris, dandelion, burdock and silver birch, among other things, all of which were included as botanicals in the original recipe for Burleigh's London Dry Gin. These and other botanicals such as - of course - juniper, are then carefully macerated and gently distilled in a 450 liter copper distillery owned by the famous mechanical engineer Arnold Holstein from Markdorf on Lake Constance. This creates a gin that is delicately mild and has a unique taste. After distillation, the fine distillate is carefully reduced to drinking strength and then bottled by hand in the distillery. Burleigh's London Dry Gin Pink Edition Master Distiller Jamie Baxter came up with the idea for Burleigh's London Dry Gin Pink Edition after a visit to Tokyo. He refined the recipe for Burleighs London Dry Gin with exotic botanicals such as Japanese cherry blossom, hibiscus, rose and pink grapefruit. Burleighs London Dry Gin Pink Edition has a very gentle and mild taste and is the perfect "easy drinking" gin. Burleighs Pink Edition Gin is perfect for a light gin & tonic. The manufacturer recommends combining it with Fever Tree Aromatic Tonic and a pink grapefruit zest. Burleighs London Dry Gin Pink Edition not only looks good in this very classic long drink, but also in many cocktails. The classic Martini Dry in particular gets an exquisite Asian touch with Burleighs London Dry Gin Pink Edition. We also find this combination very tempting and say cheers!

What exactly is gin?
Gin is a flavored spirit based on neutral alcohol. Its characteristic profile comes from juniper berries and additional botanicals. To help you keep track when buying gin online and comparing different styles, the most important features are summarized below.
Quick overview of gin characteristics:
Alcohol content
In the European Union, gin must contain at least 37.5% alcohol by volume. Many well-known gins are bottled at around 40%, while stronger expressions can be significantly higher. A higher alcohol content can add more depth and aroma in cocktails.
Flavor and aromas
Juniper is always at the center. Depending on the recipe, it is accompanied by citrus notes, herbs, spices, or floral nuances. The spectrum ranges from crisp and dry to noticeably sweeter gin styles with a softer texture.
Botanicals
Botanicals are the plant-based ingredients that give gin its aroma. Typical botanicals include juniper, coriander, angelica root, cinnamon bark, pepper, lavender, citrus fruits, and orange peel. Many producers also use regional herbs or unusual ingredients, creating distinctive and unique gin styles.
Color
Most gins are clear. Barrel-aged expressions can take on golden or amber tones. Sloe gin and other blackthorn-based gins often show an intense red color and are among the popular sweeter gin varieties.
Origin
The origins of gin can be traced back to the Netherlands in the 17th century, where genever was used as a medicinal spirit. Genever was made with juniper berries, which are the fruit of the juniper plant. In the 18th century, “gin” made its way to England. It was inexpensive and widely produced due to its relatively simple manufacturing process, which led to its rapid spread. Over time, gin became a globally popular spirit. Today, gin is produced worldwide. In addition to the Netherlands, classic centers include Great Britain and Belgium, as well as many modern distilleries in Germany, Spain, Scandinavia, Japan, and numerous other countries.
Use
Gin is often enjoyed neat, over ice, or in long drinks and cocktails. Well-known examples include the Gin & Tonic, Martini, Negroni, Tom Collins, as well as drinks based on Old Tom and sloe gin. If you want to order gin online, you can also browse our matching recipes for inspiration.
How is gin made?
The production of gin begins with a neutral-tasting base spirit. This is usually made from grain, but it can also be derived from other agricultural raw materials. Juniper berries and additional botanicals are then introduced to create gin’s characteristic aroma.
Typical steps in gin production
-
Maceration
The botanicals are crushed and steeped in the alcohol. During this time, the aromas dissolve and are absorbed by the spirit. The aromatic base is then redistilled, filtered, and diluted with water to reach bottling strength. -
Digestion
Similar to maceration, but with gentle heating. The botanicals are steeped in alcohol and warmed at a moderate temperature. This allows essential oils to dissolve more quickly, making this method especially suitable for roots and woods. -
Vapor infusion or percolation
Alcohol vapor passes through an aroma basket filled with botanicals. The flavors are extracted in a particularly gentle way. The result is often very clean, fresh, and elegant gin profiles.
Many distilleries combine different methods to achieve a distinctive character. After distillation, the gin is diluted with water to reach the desired bottling strength. For aged gin, this is followed by maturation in wooden barrels. For sloe gin or other sweet styles, sloe berries and sugar are added, resulting in a noticeably sweeter gin profile.
What types of gin are there?
Anyone looking to buy gin is quickly faced with the question of which style is the right choice. The sheer variety of gin styles available today can make classification challenging. However, the following styles are generally considered classic.
London Dry Gin
A classic dry gin with a clear juniper and citrus profile. No sugar may be added, and all flavors must be introduced during distillation. Ideal for gin & tonic and many other cocktails.
Hammer London Dry Gin 1.0L 40% England's tradition visits Oslo Hammer London Dry Gin, which at first glance seems almost inconspicuous, was distilled near the Norwegian capital Oslo. The mineral-rich water from the Hadeland springs was used, whose rocky landscape is, according to research, around 300 million years old. A double pot still distillation and a special filter technology are the decisive factors in bringing the delicious aromas of the botanicals used into Hammer London Dry Gin. The finest spices and herbs are selected with great care to perfect the gin. The individual ingredients for the aromas are not added afterwards, but during distillation, thus creating the unmistakable character. The recipe for London Dry Gin comes from England and can be traced back to 1776. It later made its way to the Scandinavian country via a roundabout route and has enjoyed great popularity ever since. The play of aromas The first scent is a strong hint of ripe juniper berries, the classic ingredient in gin. The combination of different ingredients, which are either dried or provide a refreshing kick, is striking. The notes of fine herbs play around the nose in a skilful manner. On the palate, a real firework of intense fruit aromas is revealed, as orange and lemon are paired together here. The fine sweetness of the juniper berries and the spiciness of the herbs create an unforgettable drinking experience. On the finish, you can feel a pleasant warmth that lasts a long time. Meanwhile, nutty and rich tones blossom and delight the connoisseur. The secret home The Hammer London Dry Gin is not a gin that you drink neat or on ice, for example. Rather, it likes to present its unique strength and special character in a freshly made cocktail or long drink. Combined with the classic tonic and vermouth, it shows its diversity and expressiveness. As an absolute classic for mixed drinks, this gin should not be missing from any well-stocked home bar.
Tanqueray London Dry Gin This world-famous gin is made according to an old recipe by Charles Tanqueray from the finest grain, the best water and selected botanicals in a fourfold distillation process. Tanqueray Gin has been named the best gin in the world several times in its history at various competitions. The distinctive bottle shape of the Tanqueray probably goes back to old English fire hydrants or historical cocktail shakers. The gin impresses on the nose with its fine spiciness. On the palate it is very complex and tangy. The aftertaste is very delicate and long. This bottling contains the alcohol strength of 43.1%, which is highly valued by bartenders.

This creates a perfectly balanced symphony of clear juniper notes, fresh herbs and fruits. On the palate it is soft and creamy, almost a little oily at the beginning.

Both`s Old Tom Gin 0.7L 47% The history of Old Tom Gin Even though it is only known to a few connoisseurs today, Old Tom Gin was once considered one of the most important spirit categories in the world. Old Tom Gin, also known as Old Tom or just Tom Gin, was particularly popular in England in the 18th and 19th centuries. Old Tom Gin is a descendant of the original genever from the Netherlands and is drier than this, but slightly sweeter than the gin known today. At that time, wooden signs in the shape of cats were attached to pubs, which would serve a gin shot to customers by inserting a penny. Since these bars were called "Old Tom" by the locals, it can be assumed that the name Old Tom Gin comes from them. The mechanism of the Old Toms worked in such a way that the penny that was thrown in rolled to the bartender inside the pub, who then poured the gin into a small tube directly into the consumer's mouth using a funnel. An ingenious but also dangerous business idea, as many alcoholics were able to treat themselves to their drinks in secret. Aside from this questionable pouring method, Old Tom Gin also slowly established itself in the more prestigious bars in England and was finally mentioned for the first time in a cocktail book in 1891. This was the book "The Flowing Bowl: When and What to Drink", in which Old Tom Gin was listed as an ingredient in the Tom Collins cocktail that is still popular today. Over the years, things have unfortunately gone quiet around Old Tom Gin, and it has only been experiencing a small renaissance for around ten years now, due to the increasing interest in bar culture. The production of Both's Old Tom Gin Both's Old Tom Gin is produced and bottled by "The Both Distillery" (founded in 1886) for the spirits retailer Haromex. Ransom Spirits developed its Old Tom Gin with the help of the famous cocktail historian David Wondrich, who also developed a Curaçao with Cognac Ferrand that was named "Spirit of the Year 2013".In the production of Ransom Old Tom Gin, a malty spice is used, which is also why the subtle malt notes on the nose are due to it.

Kimerud Navy Strength Gin 0.5L 57% Gin Navy Strength What does that actually mean? This name goes back to the Royal Navy in the 18th century, when it was prescribed that a certain amount of gin had to be on board every ship. At that time, gin was considered a cure-all for many illnesses and ailments. As demand grew, however, naval officers began to suspect that their suppliers were selling them botched gin. They began to subject the gin to a simple test: if you poured some gin over the gunpowder stored on the ship and it just started to smoke or didn't ignite at all, you knew that it was diluted gin. Only gin that ignited the gunpowder was 'real' gin and had at least 114 proof. This specification has prevailed to this day and is why it is called Navy Strength Gin. Kimerud Farm The history of the distillery begins in 1785 on the Kimerud farm, which is located west of Oslo in Lier. This location with its clean air and nutrient-rich soil offers perfect conditions for starting the distillery and growing herbs and berries. The Kimerud Navy Strength Gin is dedicated to Jørgen Kristian Has Nilsen, the grandfather of the master distiller at Kimerud. Only regional botanicals that also grow on the Kimerud Farm 1785 in northern Norway are used for Kimerud Gin. In addition to the epic aspect, these also have another important role. Because of the harsh, cold climate in Norway, plants grow much more slowly there than is the case in our latitudes. This gives the plants much more time to grow and develop their full aroma. One of these special 22 herbs/botanicals in Kimerud Gin is the 'Golden Rood'. It is a very old herb and was used a lot in the Viking Age (800-1050 AD).

The small distillery's first 'new' small batch gin left the distillery in 2019, and two new products followed in 2020, the 'Akvavi' and the 'Oak Aged Gin'. The aim is to give the gin a typically Nordic character, so in addition to juniper, rosemary, fennel and spruce shoots are macerated in alcohol for a good 24 hours. The Oak Aged Gin The 'base gin' was used as the basis for the Oak Aged Gin. This then matures for 100 days in New American Oak barrels. All products used by Zuidam are 100% natural and carefully selected. Another special feature of the distillery is that it is still family-run. All recipes for the products produced there are developed in collaboration by Fred van Zuidam and his son Patrick. They see their products as a kind of painting, which is painted with aromas instead of colors. Zuidam places just as much emphasis on the packaging as on the quality of the products. For this reason, all products will be bottled in a specially designed and attractive designer bottle. The history of Zuidam Destillers The Zuidam distillery was founded in 1975 by Fred van Zuidam. Zuidam's idea was to set up a small distillery that specialises in very exclusive products. He therefore built his distillery on just 300m² with a small copper pot still and a small production line. Zuidam's beginnings were rather slow and it took a good 10 years before its reputation as one of the best distilleries in the country was established. However, the final breakthrough only came after his wife Helene von Zuidam took over the design of the products. The distillery, which has now expanded to 3600m² and 4 pot stills, is now run by the two brothers Patrick and Gilbert, with their parents always keeping a watchful eye on the two. While Patrick looks after the distillery, Gilbert is responsible for sales and marketing. The taste of Zuidam Oude Genever 5 years For this special bottling, the best barrels in the distillery were selected after a storage period of at least 60 months. Before being stored in barrels, the genever was distilled three times in a pot still from the best wheat and barley malt, as well as corn. The end result of this complex production method is a very special genever, with a rich vanilla and toffee aroma and a silky mouthfeel. One of the best genevers on the market!

Genever: The Predecessor of Modern Gin
Genever is a traditional juniper spirit from the Netherlands and Belgium. Often referred to as Genever or Dutch gin, it is considered the ancestor of modern gin. The main difference from many contemporary gins lies in the base distillate.
Malty Character
Genever is often based on malt wine, a grain-based distillate. This gives it a grainier, rounder, and softer profile than many modern dry gins.
Aroma Profile
Juniper is present but less dominant. Grain notes, subtle herbs, and a light spiciness shape the flavor.
Styles
Among others, there is jonge Genever and oude Genever. These terms refer more to the recipe and style than to actual aging. Jonge Genever may contain a maximum of 15% malt wine, while Oude Genever must have at least 15% malt wine content.
How to Drink
Genever is traditionally enjoyed slightly chilled and neat. It also works well as a special base for cocktails and long drinks.

FAQs | Questions and Answers About Gin
- What exactly is London Dry Gin?
-
London Dry Gin is a dry gin with clear juniper and citrus notes. All botanicals must be added during distillation, and no sugar is allowed. It is considered a classic style for Gin & Tonic and many other cocktails.
- How much alcohol should gin contain?
-
Gin must contain at least 37.5% alcohol in the European Union. Many brands are around 40% or slightly higher. Stronger variants, like Navy Strength Gin, have an even higher alcohol content and offer a more intense aroma.
- How much does a good gin cost?
-
Good gins often start at around €15–25 for classic brands. Premium and special gins usually range between €25 and €45. Beyond that, you’ll find limited editions and aged gins, aimed more at enthusiasts and collectors.
- What is Genever?
-
Genever is a traditional juniper spirit from the Netherlands and Belgium, often referred to as Genever or Dutch gin. It is based on a malt-forward base distillate and therefore tastes grainier and softer than many modern dry gins. Genever is considered the direct predecessor of today’s gin.
- What is the best Genever gin?
-
There is no single “best” Genever, as it largely depends on personal taste. Mild, younger Genevers are suitable for beginners, while malt-forward and aged varieties appeal to those who enjoy stronger flavors. The best approach is to try different Genever types to find your favorite.
- What is Sloe Gin?
-
Sloe Gin is a gin-based liqueur made with sloe berries and sugar. It is significantly sweeter than classic gin, has a red color, and combines fruity and slightly tart notes. Sloe Gin is enjoyable neat, on ice, or in sparkling cocktails and is perfect for anyone who likes sweet gin varieties.
- Gin: cucumber or lemon?
-
Whether cucumber or lemon works better depends on the gin chosen. Lemon or lime emphasizes the fresh side of dry gin and London Dry Gin. Cucumber pairs especially well with floral or herbal gins and many modern New Western gins.
- Which gin is best for beginners?
-
Beginners often start with a balanced London Dry Gin, which tastes great in a Gin & Tonic. Those who prefer a softer, rounder style can try an Old Tom Gin or Sloe Gin. This helps determine whether one prefers dry or sweet gin styles.
- What exactly is a sweet gin?
-
Sweet gin usually refers to styles like Old Tom Gin or Sloe Gin, where sugar is intentionally added. These gins are rounder, softer, and often fruitier than classic dry gins. They are particularly suitable for cocktails where a very dry gin would taste too strong.
- How should gin be stored?
-
Gin should be stored tightly sealed, in a cool place, and protected from direct light. Large temperature fluctuations should be avoided. Under these conditions, gin remains stable for a long time and retains its aroma.
