Brandy - Brandy International

Brandy is the common generic term for brandies that do not originate from France or Germany and is the English word for brandy. In Germany, when people talk about brandy, they often mean the well-known brands from Spain and Italy such as Cardenal Mendoza, Antinori, Gran Duque de Alba or Veterano. In France, brandy is known as Cognac or Armagnac. Like brandy, cognac is a wine distillate made from white wine, but it may only bear the name cognac if the brandy comes from a specific region in France defined by law. If it does not come from this area, it is called Armagnac. In our online store for spirits, we offer cognac in the VS, VSOP and XO quality grades, as well as brandy in the Reserva, Gran Reserva, Solera Reserva and X.O. quality grades. Of course, you will also find a variety of different vintage bottlings - so-called Vintage Cognacs or Vintage Brandies. We also stock German brandies such as Asbach.
