Fernando de Castilla Solera Gran Reserva Selecto, 0,7 L, 40%

Product information "Fernando de Castilla Solera Gran Reserva Selecto, 0,7 L, 40%"

Fernando de Castilla Solera Gran Reserva Selecto 0.7L 40%

Jerez de la Frontera is probably the most famous wine town in Spain and gives its name to the world-famous sherry. In the middle of the historic center of the city lies the Bodega Rey Fernando de Castilla, which is known far beyond the country's borders for its sherries, brandies and vinegars.

The estate's brandies are distilled only from selected white wines in a traditional alembic (distillation helmet). This distillation method, already known to the Arabs, enables the production of particularly flavorful spirits. All brandies produced by Fernando de Castilla belong to the two highest DO categories, Solera Reserva and Solera Gran Reserva. After distillation, they mature in new barrels made of French and American white oak.

The special Selecto Brandy is the house's premium product and the result of the marriage of the house's best brandies in the classic Spanish Solera process. This brandy is a true gentleman. Extremely aromatic, but never intrusive. The aftertaste is gentle and soft and leaves a satisfied smile. A brandy that can compete with any good cognac.

Carlos III Solera Reserva Brandy 0,7L 36%
Carlos III Solera Reserva Brandy 0.7L 36% The history of one of the largest brandy companies in Spain began in 1730, when Patrick Murphy, who had immigrated from Ireland, began growing wine in the south of Spain together with the Spaniard Juan Haurie. The resulting company passed through various hands until it was taken over by a Frenchman in 1813: Don Pedro Domecq Lebaye. The company was run under his name until a few years ago, as part of the spirits group Allied Domecq. A few years ago, large parts of Allied Domecq became the property of Pernod Ricard, which in turn sold various brands to Osborne. Among these 14 varieties was Carlos III, which is now sold by Bodegas Osborne. The Carlos III Reserva has a light body and its color is reminiscent of copper-gold. Its aroma contains notes of roasted nuts, oak, caramel and citrus fruits. Fruit aromas and a slight acidity determine its taste in a silky composition. This Reserva Brandy is naturally sweet and suggests that it was aged in Oloroso barrels. The Carlos III Solera Brandy is offered in a 0.7 liter bottle and has an alcohol content of 36%.

A few years later, Pierre took over the business, which was first moved to Brionne and then finally to Ivry la Bataille. In 1945, the distillery was even able to move into the premises of the Distillerie de Thélème, which is very well known in France, and use the facilities there. The property has extensive cellars in which the valuable eau-de-vie can be stored. With over a hundred years of know-how, the French distillery produces high-quality Calvados. The young, selected spirits are initially stored in large barrels made of Limousine oak with a volume of around 300-400L in the cellars mentioned above. There are optimal conditions for the ripening of the Calvados, because the climatic fluctuations there promote oxidation. Calvados 15 ans The Calvados 15 ans was put together from a selection of the best terroirs and is an absolute highlight in its age class. The taste is round and has a full body with balanced tannins before ending in a fruity finish with rich apple notes.

The Domaine Thorin, located in Segonzac in the heart of the Grand Champagne, has been delighting people with fascinating cognac productions for more than 60 years. Over the years, the family knowledge of cognac distillation and especially the storage of spirits has been continuously passed on - another important point for the outstanding cognac is the growing region, which can be found in the Commune de Mainxe. This is a very famous cru location in the Grand Champagne. For further special aromas, the company always uses Limousin barrels. These are often found in the maturation of cognac, as the French Limousin oak is said to give it a very unique, complex character. These barrels were also used for the Cognac Grand Champagne VSOP. Over the course of the maturation process, a full-bodied and complex aroma was created. The senses are pampered with notes of vanilla and orange blossom, raisins and a hint of musk.

Metelka Tea Spirit Georgia 0.7L 41.2% Georgia An intensive conversation about the world of liqueurs and the invigorating effect of tea gave rise to an incredible idea: an innovation like never before: the combination of high-quality tea and a spirit. You think that doesn't work? We say YES! The idea at the beginning was to combine two opposites. Georgian whole-leaf black tea, brandy from Chile and linden honey from Moravia were to form a harmonious combination that no one had ever seen before in this form. The road to today's end product, the Metelka Tea Spirit, was rocky, but together with friends and experts, things became a lot easier. Tasting The best way to enjoy this extremely special drop is simply pure as cognac in a large swirl glass. This is how it develops its great aromas best. If you like, you can add a few ice cubes and a little orange peel. The manufacturer has also already produced one or two cocktail recipes with the Metelka Tea Spirit. How about an Old Fashion, for example? Here is the recipe: 6 cl Tea Spirit 1 cl sugar syrup Bitters to taste Orange/grapefruit flavor Orange peel Ice cubes

Adega Velha Reserva 6 years 0.5L 40% Portugal 1971 At the beginning of the 70s, a wonderful brandy distillery was founded in the Vinho Verde region, making it one of the oldest distilleries there. Brandy from the Quinta da Aveleda distillery is known worldwide for brandy of the highest quality! The famous Adega brandy gets its special taste from the red Vinho Verda wines that come from the north of Portugal. These are distilled and then stored in French Limousin oak barrels, especially this one for 6 years. The aroma is reminiscent of roasted coffee beans, dried fruit, and the notes of the wooden barrels also come to the fore. Adega Velha brandy has a velvety soft mouthfeel, and the notes of roasted coffee and a bouquet of wild berries are also recognizable on the palate. The best temperature to enjoy the high-quality brandy is between 18-20 °C. According to an old tradition in Portugal, the brandy is also warmed there and served at a temperature of around 25 °C. This is said to make it even softer on the palate and even more intense in taste.

Ocucaje Pisco Mosto Verde Acholado 0,5L 42,5%
Ocucaje Pisco Mosto Verde Acholado 0.5L 42.5% Ocucaje Pisco comes from the highland region of Peru and is produced by Viña Ocucaje SA, which has been producing high-quality wines in its wine cellars for over 110 years. It is located south of the city of Ica in Pisco's Ocucaje Valley. Once a rich ocean, Ocucaje is now a unique piece of land. When the water dried up, the marine fossils that had formed in the water remained on the ground. These make the soil there very fertile and ideal for growing grapes. Pisco is a brandy that is distilled primarily from the must of the Italia grape and also from the Quebranta grape. In comparison to Italian grappa, Pisco is made only from grape must. After the distillation process, this distillate also has to be brought to drinking strength: Of course, only the most obvious product is used here, namely Andean water! Ocucaje Pisco Mosto Verde Acholado This Peruvian grape brandy is a blend of distillates from the Quebranta and Italia grape varieties. These have been perfectly matched. In terms of aroma and taste, Pisco has a lot to offer, but does not drown out the aromas of each other. A clear, fresh taste of citrus aromas and that of the grapes is clearly evident. A fine tropical hint of yellow fruit flows in. It also leaves a lasting impression in the aftertaste with fishy, summery notes.

Ocucaje Pisco Mosto Verde Italia 0.5L 42.5% Ocucaje Distillery The distillery was founded in 1898 and has been family-owned for 80 years. The production processes and recipes are based on those of the early days, with only minor changes being made as part of technical adjustments. What exactly is Pisco? Pisco is a brandy made from grape must and is the national drink in Chile and Peru. This drink has been around for over 400 years, although Chile and Peru reserve the right that a drink may only be called Pisco if it comes from one of the two countries. The difference to Italian grappa is that it is made from pomace and not from must, and this must is the only ingredient used to make Pisco. Ocucaje is made from the Pisco Italia grape, which is not to be confused with the Italian table grape of the same name, because Pisco Italia is much older than this. Because only one type of grape is used, Ocucaje is a non-aromatic distillate. Taste Interesting notes of citrus fruits and orange blossoms unfold on the nose. These notes are supported by a subtle caramel tone. The taste is very elegant and pleasantly soft. You quickly notice the special taste of the sweet, fruity grapes. They bring with them a fresh and warming aroma. Even in the aftertaste, you can enjoy the variety of aromas for a long time, because here all the aromas are expressed once again. Ocucaje Pisco Mosto Verde Italia can be enjoyed neat or in a variety of log drinks and mixed drinks. The most well-known cocktails with Pisco are Pisco Sour and Pisco Punch.

Martell Cohiba Cognac 0,7L 43%
Martell Cohiba Cognac 0,7L 43%
Martell Cohiba Cognac 0.7L 43% Aromatic partnership At the time of gentlemen's clubs in the 18th and 19th centuries, it was very common for their members to sit down with a good cigar and an equally good glass of a fine spirit and discuss world events and politics. The Martell Cognac house took up this culture with its Cohiba Cognac when they developed this spirit. Because a cigar needs an equal partner that is neither too soft nor too strong. It has to be the perfect blend so that no partner is too dominant in terms of taste and ultimately the cognac should of course also be convincing on its own. Only the best The Martell distillery, founded in 1715, is one of the oldest cognac producers in all of France. The company has been run from generation to generation with all the expertise and tradition that makes the products so unique. The terroir from which Martell sources its grapes plays a large part in the taste and therefore the success of the brandy. The large Cognac wine region in the southwest of France is divided into six large regions, all of which have different conditions for growing grapes. Due to its proximity to the Atlantic, Cognac has a very advantageous mild climate and the right geological subsoil. The most famous and most valued area is the Grand Champagne, where the Borderies terroir is located, and it is precisely from these famous and unique locations that Martell sources the grapes for the wine, which is later distilled into cognac in the old, large copper stills. Taste of the terroir The spirits made from the grapes of this Borderies terroir all have a special, very floral aroma, and the Martell cellar masters chose a few barrels of individual cognacs in a strict selection process, which they carefully blended to create this Cohiba. The result is a blend that boasts extravagant, fine notes of dried flowers. It is gentle, but still has a solid character of gentle fruits and spices, in other words a wonderful cognac that can of course also be enjoyed without a cigar.

Cles des Ducs Napoleon Armagnac 0,5L 40%
Cles des Ducs Napoleon Armagnac, 0,5L, 40%
Cles des Ducs Napoleon Armagnac 0.5L 40% A wonderful brandy from Gascony Armagnac is produced in three regions in Gascony, a particularly sunny region in the southwest of France. These wine-growing areas, which together cover around 100 km², are the famous Bas-Armagnac, Haut-Armagnac and Ténarèze. Since 1909, the name, origin and production of Armagnac have been regulated by a state regulation, the so-called Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée (controlled designation of origin). The history of the spirit, however, goes back much further. Armagnac was first mentioned in documents in 1461. At that time, the wine-growing knowledge of the Romans was combined with the distilling skills of the Moors and the high-quality barrels of the Gauls, and brandy was distilled for medicinal purposes for the first time in the region. The quality of the brandy improved from generation to generation, and Armagnac's good reputation reached its peak in the middle of the 20th century. As popularity increased, however, so did demand, and unfortunately some manufacturers at the time preferred to produce mass rather than quality. This caused France's oldest spirit to lose prestige, particularly in the post-war period. Even though the quality has long since returned to its old standard, Armagnac is often mistakenly seen as an inferior cognac. However, if you try both spirits at the same time, you will find that this is by no means the case. A good Armagnac, with its rather tart, distinctive bouquet, is definitely on a par with Cognac, but is still different enough to be unmistakable. How is Armagnac made? The production of Armagnac is very different from that of Cognac. The only thing they have in common is that both brandies are made from white wines. For Armagnac, the base wine is pressed from the grape varieties Folle Blanche, Ugni Blanc, Colombard, Baco 22 A, Jurancon and Saint Émilion. This is followed by a simple continuous distillation, which distills the base wine to 55 - 56% vol. Cognac is double distilled in closed kettles and then filled into barrels at over 70% vol. While cognac is stored in barrels made of Limousine oak, Armagnac is stored in the holm oak typical of the region. This gives the spirit its distinctive and pleasant, slightly bitter taste thanks to its high tannin content, and additional coloring in the wood ensures that the Armagnac takes on a natural color more quickly. Clés des Ducs Napoleon This special specialty from the traditional company Clés des Ducs from the heart of Bas-Armagnac matured in small holm oak barrels for eleven long years. While the beautiful amber color alone suggests a high-quality spirit, this assumption is confirmed by the wonderful bouquet with its numerous dried fruit, flower and nut aromas. Vanilla, toffee and a slightly sweet and bitter taste are revealed on the palate. The long aftertaste impresses with fine spicy notes. A brandy for connoisseurs!
