The Nicaraguan premium coffee beans from the Matagalpa area are finely ground together with the finest Bourbon vanilla pods from Madagascar and then cold brewed. This produces a fine aroma with less bitterness than hot brewing. The cold brewed coffee is then married with 7-year-old Dominican rum. As a rum producer, Flor de Cana from Nicaragua has been active in the spirits market for quite some time, more precisely already in the 5th generation. Sustainability is very, very important in the distillery. The rum is already a premium fair trade certified rum! It is produced using 100% renewable energy and without any additives or added sugar. Spresso coffee liqueur Coffee lovers probably know Nicaragua for its world-famous coffee cultivation. So what could be more obvious than combining rum from Flor de Canã with coffee? This experience has now been put into a coffee liqueur.
