First order tequila online, then enjoy Mexican style!

Unlike in our online spirits store, Sierra Tequila Gold and Silver are available as standard in German supermarkets. Everyone knows the bottle cap with the sombrero hat on top. But admittedly, many Mexicans would shake their heads. Because the spirit has much more to offer in terms of flavor variety. If it's not just about the alcoholic effect at the liquor counter or at home, but also a bit of real tequila taste, then you've come to the right place. We offer you various tequila brands that you can drink neat without hesitation - and soon won't want to enjoy any other way. Each tequila variety differs in color and taste. But what exactly is the difference? First of all, tequila is produced exclusively in the Mexican state of Jalisco and is a form of agave brandy.

Agave is the plant from which the sugar for tequila production is obtained. The purest and therefore highest quality in the tequila range is called 100% agave and is available at Drinkology for between 20 euros and 160 euros. Additionally, there is the so-called Mixto, which contains at least 51% agave sugar. In terms of taste, it is similar to 100% agave but can be produced more cheaply. Then there are Mescal and Sotol, which are variants of the Mexican drink. Schnaps made outside of Jalisco is referred to as Mescal. It differs only slightly from typical tequila, mainly through a smoky note. You want to buy tequila online but don't know what the colors mean? The different shades depend on the aging process. The clear spirit is called silver or blanco and is bottled immediately after distillation. If the tequila is darker, it is called gold or oro. This is a tequila blend made from white tequila and aged tequila. Anejo refers to the alcohol when it has been aged in oak barrels for at least one year.

The next level is extra-anejo, which has been aged for at least three years. In our tequila online shop, you can find the full range and can buy the spirit cheaply or spend a bit more on tequila. In good bars, you typically find Cuervo or Don Julio tequila at the bar – with light schnaps served with lemon and salt, and dark tequila with orange and cinnamon. By the way, the drinking ritual with fruit and spices also adds an extra portion of fun. Want to order tequila? Know which one! Take a look at our spirits range and find your favorite.
