Pierre de Segonzac Rare Reserve Cognac 0.7L 40%

Made by Maison Ferrand

In Segonzac, the heart of the Cognac region in France, there is the Ferrand family, who can look back on a spectacular history. They have been in business there since the beginning of the 18th century. Since then, the company has always remained in the family. Today the family is known for its older products, which regularly win awards.
In 1970, descendant Pierre Ferrand created his own cognac brand under his own name 'Pierre de Segonzac'.

Pierre de Segonzac Rare Reserve

For the Rare Reserve, Pierre Grand Champagne combined cognacs with a minimum age of 15 years. It has deep copper tones and the aroma can be roughly described as sweet almond. If you take a closer look at the aromas, you will of course recognize many other components. Notes of honey, marzipan and something reminiscent of black tea. On the palate, a very smooth, full-bodied cognac with a soft texture is presented. In the finish, notes of oak wood are revealed.

Remy Martin Cognac VSOP, 1 L, 40%
Remy Martin Cognac VSOP 1.0L 40% Rémy Martin is the most famous cognac house in the world. It was founded in 1724 by the young winemaker Rémy Martin in the Cognac region. Due to the unusually high quality of the cognac, Louis XV granted him permission to plant new vines in 1831, although this was forbidden at the time.In 1870, the famous centaur was added to the coat of arms, symbolizing the symbiosis of man and nature. However, it would take until 1927 for the Rémy Martin VSOP to be introduced. The cognac was very different in quality from the other brands at the time and quickly became a global success. Over the years, the quality has been constantly improved, partly because in 1948 it was decided to only use grapes from the Petite and Grande Champagne. In 1972, the famous frosted glass bottle was finally introduced, making Rémy Martin VSOP the best-selling cognac in the world. On the palate, this cognac is very soft. The nose reveals numerous floral aromas surrounded by apricot, hazelnut and light oak notes. A beautiful, soft cognac with a very intense aftertaste.

A.E. Dor Cognac Pur Cru, 0,5 L, 40%
AE Dor Cognac Pur Cru 0.5L 40% The history of AE Dor cognac Viteus vitifoliae, better known as phylloxera, is a pest that was first discovered in French vineyards in 1863. Well-known researchers such as Louis Pasteur tried to put a stop to phylloxera, but they only succeeded when it was already too late. Phylloxera infected almost every vineyard in France and destroyed almost the entire vineyard area in the country. Later, local vines were planted with rootstocks from America, making them resistant to the pests. Although wine could be grown again from then on, it and the cognac distilled from it tasted different than before the phylloxera catastrophe. As a result, demand for pre-phylloxera cognacs increased enormously and became a scarce commodity. Fortunately, the wealthy Amédée-Edouard DOR recognized this early on and began to collect the best qualities of the "old" Cognacs. He concentrated in particular on spirits from the "Grande Champagne", which were already considered exceptionally good at the time. Over the years, Amédée-Edouard DOR was able to secure large quantities of pre-phylloxera Cognacs, which his employees then stored in oak barrels for up to 70 years. When the spirits had finally reached the perfect maturity, they were transferred to glass balloons (Demi-Johns) and sealed with wax. The Demi-Johns are stored in the "Paradise", a special maturing cellar, of the AE Dor house and some are still bottled today for the best spirits from AE Dor. The production of the AE Dor Cognac Pur Cru The AE Dor Cognac Pur Cru is without question a special Cognac. The AE Dor Cognac Pur Cru is made exclusively from Fins Bois Cognacs. The AE Dor Cognac Pur Cru thus enables you to get to know the pure taste of this often overlooked Cognac region better. Like all Cognacs from AE Dor, the AE Dor Cognac Pur Cru matures for many years in barrels made of the best oak. Only when the cellar master considers the individual spirits for the AE Dor Cognac Pur Cru to be mature are they masterfully blended to create the AE Dor Cognac Pur Cru. The taste of the AE Dor Cognac Pur Cru As already mentioned, the AE Dor Cognac Pur Cru is a very special Cognac. The fine aromas of the AE Dor Cognac Pur Cru on the nose are evidence of violet and rose blossoms. On the palate, the AE Dor Cognac Pur Cru is very fruity with peach and pear aromas, which are launched by a little vanilla and caramel. The aftertaste of the AE Dor Cognac Pur Cru is pleasantly gentle and soft. Due to its mildness, the AE Dor Cognac Pur Cru is perfect as an entry-level cognac, or to get to know the advantages of the Fins Bois cognacs. We recommend enjoying the AE Dor Cognac Pur Cru with a bar of white chocolate!

Cognac De Luze VSOP, 1,0L 40%
Cognac De Luze VSOP, 1.0L 40% VSOP VSOP, i.e. 4 years minimum maturation time of the youngest distillate contained in the blend, already gives an idea of the meticulous precision with which the work was carried out, although the overall average age of the spirit can usually be considerably higher. Very Special Old Pale is more than just an indication of the age of the Cognac de Luze VSOP, but rather shines as a label for the brand's high quality standards. This Cognac is therefore convincing and becomes a special representative of its line. Tradition of "savoir-faire" "Savoir-faire", i.e. "know-how", or the skill in production gained through tradition, plays an enormous role in the Cognac de Luze VSOP. Cognac belongs to the broad category of brandies, but can only be called cognac if it is produced near the French town of Cognac, as is protected by regulations. In addition, the entire value creation process is subject to strict controls, which, for example, only allows the distillation of unfiltered wine in addition to the associated maturation process. For the Cognac de Luze VSOP, only grapes from the Petite and Grande Champagne growing regions, from which the famous sparkling wine is otherwise made, are selected. All of these regulations and the particularly high level of quality assurance result in a product like this. The Cognac de Luze VSOP in the glass The golden to honey-colored Cognac de Luze VSOP seduces on the nose with accents ranging from summer roses to violets, carried by velvety honey. In the mouth, more complex ripe tones such as vanilla, dried fruit and wonderfully integrated wood are added. Its finish is crowned by a long aftertaste and a warm finish. The overall, skillfully balanced image makes the Cognac de Luze VSOP indispensable in every bar, be it for an evening with friends, a classic cigar with fine cognac, or simply for pure enjoyment, on the rocks in a glass. In any case, this cognac feels at home in every well-stocked bar.
