Carlos III Solera Reserva Brandy 0.7L 36%
The history of one of the largest brandy companies in Spain began in 1730, when Patrick Murphy, who had immigrated from Ireland, began growing wine in the south of Spain together with the Spaniard Juan Haurie. The resulting company passed through various hands until it was taken over by a Frenchman in 1813: Don Pedro Domecq Lebaye. The company was run under his name until a few years ago, as part of the spirits group Allied Domecq.
A few years ago, large parts of Allied Domecq became the property of Pernod Ricard, which in turn sold various brands to Osborne. Among these 14 varieties was Carlos III, which is now sold by Bodegas Osborne.
The Carlos III Reserva has a light body and its color is reminiscent of copper-gold. Its aroma contains notes of roasted nuts, oak, caramel and citrus fruits. Fruit aromas and a slight acidity determine its taste in a silky composition. This Reserva Brandy is naturally sweet and suggests that it was aged in Oloroso barrels.
The Carlos III Solera Brandy is offered in a 0.7 liter bottle and has an alcohol content of 36%.
