To be precise, to 1977, when the Spanish company Campeny Distilleries launched the first version of Tann's Gin. At that time, Tann's Gin was still very much characterized by juniper notes. It was only in the last few years that the taste of the Spanish gin was adapted to the constantly changing tastes of international spirits connoisseurs. Although Tann's Gin retained its strong juniper flavor, a few other ingredients were added. These are: coriander, cucumber, rose petals, cardamom, tangerine peel, orange blossom, lemon peel, sweet spice and raspberry. The basis for Tann's Gin is 100% grain spirit. This is mixed with the botanicals and then distilled again. Before bottling in the stylistically very successful bottles, the gin is diluted to 40% vol. The taste of Tann's Gin Even on the nose, Tann's Gin is very complex and impresses with notes of juniper, floral notes and citrus fruits. On the palate, a dense and strong flavor profile with cardamom, coriander and licorice in the foreground emerges. Even if this gin, like all gin, is best drunk with tonic water or in a classic cocktail such as the Dry Martini Cocktail, it also cuts a fine figure neat. It is best served slightly chilled or with a little ice.This bottle comes with an attractive glass of Tann's Gin. This is more reminiscent of a wine glass than a long drink glass, which has the advantage that it highlights the aromas of the gin well. The purple style makes it an absolute eye-catcher! The company Destilerías Campeny SA was founded in 1970 by the Catalan businessman Amadeo Campeny i Pons, who managed to turn the distillery into one of the most important Spanish spirits producers in just a few years.
