Tobermory Hebridean Mountain Gin is carefully distilled on the Isle of Mull in Scotland. Handpicked botanicals such as heather, rowan berries and rose hips are steeped in our base alcohol for at least 24 hours. This alcohol consists of grain neutral spirit, enriched with a dash of alcohol from our Tobermory whisky stills. The result is a sweet and spicy gin with herbal notes and a subtle hint of rich, sweet malt.

On the nose, the gin opens with a refreshing lemon aroma, followed by sweet juniper and hints of coriander and spice. On the palate, it presents itself with a rich, creamy mouthfeel accompanied by sweet, lemon-infused rose hip and a bitter note of rowan berries. Floral notes of heather and warming ginger spice round off the taste experience. Lemon and rowan berries remain in the finish, complemented by the sweetness of rose hips and a mild ginger spice.

Although the Journeyman Distillery only opened in 2011, a visit gives the impression that it is much older. This is due to the building in which it was built. It is the historic factory site of the EK Warren Featherbone Factory in Three Oaks, Michigan - a former corset factory. The EK Warren Featherbone Factory revolutionized the manufacture of corsets by using quills instead of whale bones. These were much softer and therefore more comfortable to wear. The factory at that time was extremely successful, which also explains why they equipped the factory floor with high-quality materials such as maple wood.
