In the Altonaer Spirituosen Manufaktur, the cold, clear and soft water from the Lüneburg Heath is mixed with our distillate to create Gin Sul, bringing it to the perfect drinking strength of 43% volume. The water comes from thirty-three wells that reach up to 326 meters deep into the sands and gravels of the Saale Ice Age and the lower lignite sands of the western Algarve.
The lemons that thrive in the gardens of the western Algarve are exceptionally large, their peels are as thick as thumbs and their taste is reminiscent of carefree childhood. Quality is the focus when selecting the botanicals. Excellent organic juniper and fresh rosemary are just two examples of the beauty of simplicity that make up Gin Sul 0.5 liters 43%.
The small, copper distillery was handcrafted by masters of their craft. During distillation, each alcohol vapor carefully passes through the metal spirit basket, which is filled with fresh lemon peel, rosemary and rose petals. This creates a gin with fine citrus notes and a broad body that will delight both discerning connoisseurs and newcomers.
