The history of the Paul Devoille distillery
You can't tell at first glance that Gin Gold 999.9 is produced in a small, very artisanal distillery in France. To be more precise, it is the Paul Devoille distillery, which is located in the town of Fougerolles near the border with Switzerland and Germany. Although Fougerolles has just 4,000 inhabitants, the town is well known to many spirits lovers.

This is due to the high quality of the absinthes and fruit brandies that have been produced there by various distilleries for centuries. One of these distilleries is the Paul Devoille distillery, which was founded in 1859 by the entrepreneur and master distiller of the same name. The distillery is still family-owned today and the recipes used for the various absinthes mostly come from the founder's recipe books. These are on display, along with many other historical objects, in the MUSEE DES EAUX DE VIE in Lapoutroie (Alsace), which is also run by the family.

In addition to classic spirits such as fruit brandy and absinthe, the Paul Devoille distillery has always been known for its innovative new creations. For example, they also produce fruits preserved in alcohol, spirits in cigar tubes and, most recently, gin.

The Gin Gold 999.9
The story behind the Gin Gold 999.9 is pretty spectacular. At the end of the 20th century, excavations took place in Alsace, during which a still made of gold was discovered. Since the archaeologists saw no historical value in it, they sold the special still to a local distiller, who spent the next few years developing a "perfect" gin with the help of the golden still. He chose mandarins, vanilla and almonds as ingredients, among others. This resulted in a special gin that was significantly different from previously known products. Gin Gold 999.9 was born! The gin is now produced at the Paul Devoille distillery according to this recipe.

The taste of Gin Gold 999.9

Such an unusual gin naturally arouses curiosity and invites you to try it. In addition to juniper, the nose reveals fine aromas of mandarin, ginger, violet and vanilla. On the palate, Gin 999.9 impresses with the taste of freshly cut flowers, almond and angelica root. Gin Gold 999.9 is best served as a long drink without the addition of lemon zest - this would mask the delicate taste of the mandarin.

Tann`s Gin Gift Set 0,7 L, 40%
Tann's Gin gift set with glass 0.7L, 40% Tann's - A gin from Spain In contrast to a large number of gin bottlings that are currently flooding the market, the history of Tann's Gin goes back almost forty years. To be precise, to 1977, when the Spanish company Campeny Distilleries launched the first version of Tann's Gin. At that time, Tann's Gin was still very much characterized by juniper notes. It was only in the last few years that the taste of the Spanish gin was adapted to the constantly changing tastes of international spirits connoisseurs. Although Tann's Gin retained its strong juniper flavor, a few other ingredients were added. These are: coriander, cucumber, rose petals, cardamom, tangerine peel, orange blossom, lemon peel, sweet spice and raspberry. The basis for Tann's Gin is 100% grain spirit. This is mixed with the botanicals and then distilled again. Before bottling in the stylistically very successful bottles, the gin is diluted to 40% vol. The taste of Tann's Gin Even on the nose, Tann's Gin is very complex and impresses with notes of juniper, floral notes and citrus fruits. On the palate, a dense and strong flavor profile with cardamom, coriander and licorice in the foreground emerges. Even if this gin, like all gin, is best drunk with tonic water or in a classic cocktail such as the Dry Martini Cocktail, it also cuts a fine figure neat. It is best served slightly chilled or with a little ice. This bottle comes with an attractive glass of Tann's Gin. This is more reminiscent of a wine glass than a long drink glass, which has the advantage that it highlights the aromas of the gin well. The purple style makes it an absolute eye-catcher! The manufacturer recommends the following mix for enjoyment: Pour 6 cl Tann's Gin with 20 cl tonic water - garnish with a lemon peel and fresh raspberries. Cheers!

Nolet Dry Gin Silver Set inkl Glas 0,7L 47,6%
Nolet Dry Gin Silver Set including glass 0.7L 47.6% Dutch family business With know-how spanning over 325 years of family history, the Dutch distillery offers spirits of the highest quality. The Nolet family has been running the distillery for 11 generations and is based in Schiedam, very close to Rotterdam, and is therefore perfectly connected to shipping traffic. Nolet's Silver Dry Gin The gin from the family distillery in the Netherlands is by far one of the best gins in the world. The botanicals used set it apart from the crowd and give it an exquisite aroma. The exceptional botanicals include Turkish rose petals, peaches and aromatic raspberries. This special recipe for the gin was developed by the 10th and 11th generations together. It is very complex and time-consuming. Production begins with the preparation of separate macerates: firstly, herbs and other botanicals are soaked in alcohol, while secondly white peach, ripe raspberries and spices such as saffron and verbena are also macerated. These are then also distilled separately before being combined. Nolet Gin in a gift set with balloon glass The aroma of the white peach and the sweetness of the ripe raspberries in particular characterize the taste experience of the gin. It initially seems very strong on the palate, but this quickly develops into a soft and smooth drinking experience. The notes of the herbs remain elegantly in the background the whole time, allowing the fruity, sweet notes to take precedence. The 0.7l bottle of the harmoniously fruity Nolet's Gin comes with a matching balloon glass.
