Ableforths Bathtub Sloe Gin 0.5L 33.8% Bathtub Gin If you translate 'Bathtub Gin' literally, this gin means 'bathtub gin' and is an allusion to the time of Prohibition in America. During this time, alcohol lovers tried everything possible to get their hands on a fine tipple. In the 1920s, many tried their hand at this field as amateurs. There were many poor quality variants, often consisting of a mixture of cheap wheat distillate and water, to which additional flavors had been added. If the bottles available at the time were too big to be filled under the sink, people would resort to the bathtub tap and often the alcohol was distilled in the bathtub at home. This is how the name 'Bathtub Gin' came about. The Bathtub Sloe Gin by Ableforth is a special edition of the Bathtub Gin. The gin is produced using the cold-compounded distilling process. It is a process that has almost been forgotten. It does not use heat and therefore achieves a much better aromatic fullness. The packaging of each bottle is special: Each bottle is wrapped by hand, tied and dipped in wax. Professor Cornelius Ableforth, who is behind this impressive gin, has selected a number of herbs and spices to combine with the sloes, including coriander, cinnamon, cloves and orange zest. The Bathtub Sloe Gin As soon as you open the bottle you are surprised by an incredibly fruity aroma. In combination with the spices used, the gin creates an association with freshly baked cake. The taste then surprises you with marzipan and juniper aromas. Berries, citrus fruit and vanilla meet oak and tannin to create a harmonious taste. Bathtub Sloe Gin impresses with a spicy and long finish. You should simply enjoy this sloe gin neat, best chilled in summer and warm in winter for a change.

Black Velvet Toasted Caramel Liqueur 1.0L 35% Valleyfield, Quebec/Canada Since Canadian whiskeys have achieved a high status among connoisseurs, it is no wonder that this exceptional, flavoured whiskey liqueur comes from Canada. The flavouring process was copied from spiced rum and flavoured vodka. Black Velvet was bottled for the first time in 1955, but the history of Black Velvet goes back much further, to the times of the Second World War. There it was produced by Schenley Industries, which had its headquarters in the Empire State Building in New York. At that time, however, this whisky was still known under the name 'Black Label'. However, after master distiller Jack Napier tried the first whisky, he realised that a more expressive title was needed. He decided to choose a different name and the whisky was from then on known as 'Black Velvet' to emphasise its velvety character. In addition to rye, grain and corn, crystal-clear mountain water from Canada is also used for Black Velvet Whisky. It is already exported to more than 50 countries and is particularly popular in America. Pure Caramel The toffee and cream notes complement the woody whiskey aromas excellently. The nose is dominated by caramel, and the palate is full-bodied and lush. Anyone who thinks that this flavoured whiskey can only taste sweet with so many caramel and toffee notes is wrong. Black Velvet Toasted Caramel Whiskey scores with a pleasant, balanced sweetness and subtle pepper notes. The aftertaste is very creamy and has a long-lasting toffee taste. A really successful combination that you should definitely try. The Black Velvet Toasted Caramel Liqueur is based on the original Black Velvet Whiskey and has been flavored with roasted caramel. This added sweetness makes this Black Velvet more of a liqueur than a classic whiskey and is therefore ideal for cocktails. But there is absolutely nothing that can be said against the pure enjoyment of Black Velvet Toasted Caramel.
Deadhead Dark Chocolate Monkey Liqueur 0.7L 35% Deadhead Dark Chocolate is an exceptional rum-based spirit that impresses with its intense chocolate aromas and elaborate production process. This exquisite blend combines various rums, including a pot-still distilled rum and a continuously distilled molasses rum. Both mature for several years using the Solera system under optimal climatic conditions, resulting in remarkable depth and harmony. While the pot-still rum ages in classic oak barrels, the molasses rum matures in rare Chiapas oak barrels, developing a unique aromatic profile. After blending, the spirit is infused with fine dark chocolate and given an additional 60-day resting period, which further refines its flavor profile. On the nose, intense chocolate notes dominate, accompanied by a hint of brown sugar. On the palate, a rich dark chocolate aroma unfolds, complemented by subtle nuances of vanilla and coffee. The long, sweet finish makes this spirit a special treat – rounded off by the iconic shrunken-head bottle design.

Espero Creole Coconut and Rum 0.7L 40% Rum from the Dominican Republic The Creole Coconut & Rum by Ron Espero has its origins in the Dominican Republic, an island state located between the Atlantic and the Caribbean, which, together with the state of Haiti, is located on the island of Hispaniola. Although the island was one of the first on which sugar cane was proven to have been grown - a sugar mill existed as early as 1516 - it is often overlooked by rum drinkers. This is probably due, among other things, to the fact that the Dominican Republic was a pre-industrial agricultural economy before it was incorporated into the American sugar empire at the end of the 19th century. Like Puerto Rico and Cuba, the country was subject to strict fiscal controls by North America in the 1930s and the economy was dominated by gigantic sugar companies that shipped most of the rum produced there to Europe. The brutal dictatorship under Rafael Leónidas Trujillo Molina, which lasted until the 1960s, caused further problems for rum producers based in the Dominican Republic. In recent decades, however, not only has tourism grown, but the rum brands of the Dominican Republic have also become more well-known. Brands such as Brugal and Barceló are now internationally known and are helping to further strengthen the reputation of rum from the Dominican Republic. The Espero Creole Coconut & Rum The Espero Creole Coconut & Rum is based on various rums that are on average 7 years old. The various rums were stored in oak barrels and were blended using the Solera method, then finely sweetened and refined to create Espero Creole Coconut & Rum. The Espero Creole Coconut & Rum impresses with its not too strong sweetness and elegantly integrated, very pure coconut aromas that caress the nose and palate. In addition to the coconut aromas, there are subtle nuances of vanilla, dried fruit and banana. Whether enjoyed slightly chilled neat or in cocktails, the Espero Creole Coconut & Rum always cuts a fine figure!

Why & Mel Whiskaramel Liqueur 0.7L 24% From Spain to the whole world The history of the Spanish manufacturer Williams & Humbert Bodega began more than 130 years ago. With the "Why & Mel Liqueur", the world-renowned company has brought a really good liqueur onto the market, which is almost unique with its special taste experience. By storing wine and brandy in a special way, for example using the Solera process, the company was able to focus on production, which is mainly focused on exports. It has been characterized by its entrepreneurial finesse since the beginning, as it has entered into various partnerships and collaborations over the years, which have now led to it being included in Spain's largest list of trading companies. All of Williams & Humbert's technical facilities can be found along the country road in the bodegas that connects Jerez and El Puerto. This includes the systems for fermenting, mixing, cooling and bottling all the delicious spirits on offer. Visually, The black bottle stands out particularly well from other products because the logo and lettering are in striking colors. The liqueur itself, however, boasts a bright amber color. The distillate is shiny and shines in the glass. Naturally caramel With “Why & Mel”, a liqueur was created that is blended on the basis of carefully selected malt whiskeys and refined with natural caramel. During production, the focus was on a selection of high-quality malt whiskeys that were allowed to age in American oak barrels. The pleasant accent of caramel can be detected even on the nose. A distinctive aroma When you try it, “Why & Mel” reveals itself Mel" fills the palate, while the mild nuances create a memorable aroma. The sweetness was brought into a pleasant balance with the necessary balance. The finish is more creamy thanks to the caramel. Tasting note The liqueur should be served very cold, neat or with ice. However, since it reveals itself in its diversity, it can certainly be mixed in a cocktail.

Warninks Advocaat (egg liqueur) 0.7L 17.2% History and production of Warninks Advocaat: The history of Advocaat (some spellings also include Advokaat) begins in the 17th century. In 1624, Dutch colonialists conquered the Portuguese-founded settlement of Bahia in Brazil. There they discovered a creamy, unusual drink that was originally invented by the South American natives. They used the soft flesh of the avocados cultivated there to prepare a rich drink. The Portuguese mixed the viscous liquid with cane sugar and an early form of rum and enjoyed the exhilarating substance in large quantities. Enthusiastic about the combination, the Dutch took not only the recipe but also a large number of avocado plants back to their homeland. Unfortunately, the avocado trees did not grow as planned and the dream of producing their own avocado drink was shattered. However, resourceful engineers soon invented a more than equivalent substitute. A mixture of egg yolk, sugar and brandy, stirred under heat, produced a similar consistency and a delicious, full-bodied taste. In reference to the original recipe, the new drink was called Advocaat. Many years have passed since then, but Advocaat still plays a major role in Europe, and not just at Christmas or Easter. Today, production is regulated by the European Spirits Regulation. Each liter must contain at least 140 g of egg yolk and 150 g of sugar. The alcohol content must be at least 14% vol. Warninks Advocaat is made by De Kuyper according to a traditional, well-kept family recipe and using the best eggs. It is rightly one of the most popular egg liqueurs in the world. With a total alcohol content of 17.2% vol., Warninks Advocaat also considerably exceeds European standards. The creamy, vanilla sweetness also contributes to its worldwide success. Warninks Advocaat is a real treat on its own, but can also be a hit as a cocktail ingredient. Traditionally, it is mixed with cherry liqueur and then topped up with orange juice. This combination, which seems unusual at first glance, is extremely popular in the Netherlands. Tasting the Warninks Advocaat: Warninks Advocaat has a bright yellow color and a thick, creamy consistency. On the nose, it shows rich aromas of freshly beaten egg yolk, honey and vanilla, as well as butter biscuits and sponge cake. On the tongue, Warninks Advocaat is very soft and mild. The entire mouth is moistened and leaves a pleasant sweetness. Once again, notes of pastries, egg yolk, vanilla and caramel are present. The Warninks Advocaat is exactly how the connoisseur imagines an egg liqueur. Sweet, creamy, vanilla and with pleasant notes of the finest baked goods. The consistency is perfect and there is no trace of alcoholic sharpness. This makes the Warninks Advocaat an all-round successful product. Whether with coffee, in a waffle cup, over ice cream or as a cocktail ingredient, the Warninks Advocaat always cuts a fine figure.

Xtabentun D'Aristi, 0.7L 30% Background to Xtabentun d'Aristi: Xtabentun (Turbina corymbosa) is a climbing plant that is native to Central America, especially Mexico. It was already known to the Mayas and Aztecs and was used there as a ritual drug and medicinal plant. The indigenous people ground the seeds and let them swell in agave beer. The resulting drink had an intoxicating effect and put the consumer into a trance-like state. In addition, memory was significantly increased, which allowed participants in the ritual gatherings to go back to their childhood. The Indians also believed that by consuming the drug they could leave their bodies to speak to spirits and demons and, if necessary, chase them away. The Mayans also used the honey from the Xtabentun plant to prepare an alcoholic drink which they called Balché. To do this, they mixed the honey, water and the bark of the Balché tree and left it to ferment. The Spanish "conquistadores", however, did not particularly like the taste of the Blaché and used aniseed instead of the tree bark. A liqueur called Xtabentun d'Aristi is still produced today in the Mexican Yucatán region, based on this historical drink. The fermented honey from the Xtabentun plant is mixed with aniseed and then topped up with Mexican rum. It probably doesn't need to be explained that Xtabentun d'Aristi does not cause hallucinations and is not subject to narcotics law. The Xtabentun d'Aristi is traditionally served ice cold as a shot or as a "Mayan coffee", for which a cup of freshly brewed, strong coffee is mixed with 3 cl Kahlua, 3 cl Xtabentun d'Aristi and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Tasting the Xtabentun d'Aristi: The Xtabentun d'Aristi has a bright yellow color and a viscous viscosity that is clearly reminiscent of honey. The nose first reveals intense aromas of anise, honey, chocolate cake and candied orange peel. Herbal notes and rum appear in the background. On the tongue, the Xtabentun d'Aristi is very mild and creamy. The mouthfeel is comparable to syrup. There is a pleasant honey sweetness, accompanied by anise, mint and orange marmalade. The Xtabentun d'Aristi remains in the mouth for a long time and becomes dry and spicy over time. The finish is again herbal and long-lasting. The Xtabentun d'Aristi is an extremely exciting product with a unique aroma and taste profile that is not only a real pleasure on its own, but can also be used for numerous tequila or coffee-based cocktail creations.

History and production of Jack Daniel's Tennessee Fire: Jack Daniel's is undoubtedly one of the most famous brands in the world and is available in almost every country. The popular Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey is America's best-selling whiskey with an annual production of 90 million liters, which is not least thanks to the special production process and probably the most famous fan, Frank Sinatra. The Jack Daniel Distillery was registered in the commercial register in 1886 and is therefore considered the oldest legal distillery in the USA. Thousands of enthusiasts from all over the world visit the distillery in Lynchburg every year. It is not without a certain irony that Lynchburg itself is located in Moore County, where Prohibition is still in force and the consumption and sale of alcohol is punishable by law. A real twist of fate. The special thing about Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey is the production process, which is known as the Lincoln County Process. The freshly distilled distillate is filtered through a three-meter-thick layer of charcoal before it is filled into the new, toasted barrels made of American white oak. This creates an inimitably soft and gentle whiskey. In addition to the famous No. 7, Jack Daniel's also sells numerous other variations of its whiskeys. A very special creation, Jack Daniel's Tennessee Fire, was recently released. It is a spicy mixture of a fiery, hot cinnamon liqueur and the popular Old No.7 Whiskey. The combination of spiciness, sweetness and mild, spicy whiskey makes Jack Daniel's Tennessee Fire a real hit at every party. Ice cold or as a shot with a splash of lime juice, it unfolds its fiery spiciness. Taste of Jack Daniel's Tennessee Fire: The Jack Daniel's Tennessee Fire has clear aromas of cinnamon and other Christmas spices on the nose. This is accompanied by vanilla and a hint of citrus fruit. In the background, the typical aroma of Old No.7 whiskey can be detected. Spicy oak, caramel and honey unmistakably reflect the origin of Jack Daniel's Tennessee Fire. The special character of Jack Daniel's Tennessee Fire can be seen on the tongue. At first a full, pleasant sweetness with lots of vanilla, caramel and oak. After a short time, the fiery spiciness of the cinnamon liqueur comes through, which remains in the mouth for a long time. The slight burning sensation on the tip of the tongue first causes questioning looks from the taster and then enthusiasm. This taste experience is absolutely unique and a real recommendation for all fans of Jack Daniel's and American whiskey.

Bielle Liqueur Shrubb Arome Orange 0.5L 40% La Distillerie Bielle If you do some research you will find that Rhum Bielle is produced on a small Caribbean island, more precisely in Grand Bourg, Maria Galante. This island is also known as the 'Island of 100 Mills' because there were once around 100 windmills here which were used to press sugar cane. Today there are still around 70 of the old mills here, after all! La Destillerie Bielle, founded by the Rod family, has existed here since the end of the 19th century. In 1975 the management of the distillery was taken over by Dominique Thierry, who quickly managed to promote the marketing of Bielle Rhum Agricole worldwide. The success continues to this day, not least because no step in production is left to chance and also because old traditions are held on to. Rum-based spirits The Bielle distillery is not only known for the finest Rum Agricole. Rum-based spirits have also contributed significantly to the distillery's success. One of these is the Shrubb. It is an absolute must for locals on all holidays and is used in the preparation of special Creole dishes. Due to its high sugar content, it is more of a liqueur, but it is made from the distillery's base product, Rum Agricole. Orange peel is placed in it so that the fine orange aroma is released and passes into the rum. With its distinct orange taste, the Bielle distillery's liqueur is strongly reminiscent of the well-known Grand Marnier and offers a great alternative. Bielle Liqueur Shrubb is particularly suitable for desserts, but also gives every cocktail a very special fruity note.
