Glenglassaugh Revival Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky 0.7 L 46% The history of the Glenglassaugh distillery "Valley with the meadow" - this is what the name Glenglassaugh means when translated. A sonorous name for a beautiful distillery that is idyllically located between the River Spey and the River Deveron near the coastal town of Portsoy. Geographically, the Glenglassaugh distillery is therefore part of the Highlands. The whisky distillery was founded in 1874 by James Moir, the coppersmith Thomas Wilson and his two nephews William and Alexander Morrison. After the early death of James Moir in 1887, Alexander Morrison completely renovated the distillery and equipped it with new fermentation vats and stills. Unfortunately, Morrison also died just a few years later and so in 1892 Glenglassaugh came into the possession of Highland Distilleries Co Ltd. However, the company was unable to build on its past success and had to close for the first time in 1908. Even after it reopened in 1931, lasting success was not forthcoming and in the decades that followed there were further closures and reopenings. However, Glenglassaugh has been in operation again since November 24, 2008 and is under the official management of the BenRiach Distillery Company Ltd. The Glenglassaugh Revival Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky In order to build on the fame of days gone by, Glenglassaugh has released some very special bottlings in recent years. The Glenglassaugh Revival was the first whisky released after the distillery last closed over 20 years ago. The distillates used for this whisky matured partly in former red wine barrels and partly in former bourbon whiskey barrels. These two batches were then married and filled into ex-sherry barrels for final maturation. The copper-colored Glenglassaugh Revival has fine notes of toffee, caramel and notes of sherry, nuts, honey and milk chocolate on the nose. On the palate, this special whisky is creamy and rounded. In the long aftertaste, nuances of oranges, plums, walnuts, oak and cherries can be seen. The Glenglassaugh Revival was neither colored nor cool-filtered and with its strong 46% vol. is a very special treat!

Glenglassaugh Evolution Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky 0.7 L 50% The history of Glenglassaugh Glenglassaugh is a distillery with an eventful history. The distillery, whose name means "valley with the meadow", was founded in 1874 by James Moir. The Glenglassaugh distillery is located in the Highlands, between the mouths of the Spey and Deveron rivers. Unfortunately, the founder James Moir died in 1887, but his nephew Alexander Morrison continued to run it successfully and equipped it with new stills and fermentation vats in the following years. The Glenglassaugh Evolution Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky The Glenglassaugh Evolution is a very special bottling. The distillates used for this whisky matured in ex-Tennessee First Fill whiskey barrels. This special type of storage has produced a whisky with great depth, complexity and a lot of character and finesse. The Glenglassaugh Evolution does not use caramel as a colorant or cold filtration. It was bottled at a strong 50% vol. to preserve the full character of the whisky. On the nose, the light golden Glenglassaugh Evolution shows fine aromas of malt, pineapple and buttery vanilla. Similar aromas can also be perceived on the palate, although these are supported by nuances of white pepper, oak, caramel and ripe banana. The aftertaste of the Glenglassaugh Evolution is medium-long and underlined by the strong taste of spices and dried fruit. Despite its strong 50% ABV, we recommend not adding water to this great whisky!

Glenfiddich Single Malt Scotch Whisky Vintage Cask 0.7 L 40% The history of the Glenfiddich Distillery The Glenfiddich Distillery is probably the best known Scottish single malt whisky distillery. Glenfiddich is located in the town of Dufftown and is therefore part of the Highlands. The distillery was founded in 1886/87 by William Grant and has had an extremely successful history ever since. A key reason for this was that Glenfiddich was the first Scottish whisky brand to dare to offer its malt on the international market. A bold step that paid off, because Glenfiddich Pure Single Malt is still the best-selling single malt whisky on the global market today. The distillery is still owned by the Grant family and is one of the few whisky distilleries that has retained its independence. With a total of 10 wash stills and 18 spirit stills, Glenfiddich manages an immense annual production volume of 10,000 liters of the finest single malt whisky. The Glenfiddich Single Malt Scotch Whisky Vintage Cask The Glenfiddich Vintage Casks is one of a total of three bottlings from “The Cask Collection,” all of which were bottled without an age statement. Like the 15-year-old Glenfiddich, the Vintage Cask comes from a solera system, i.e. a row of barrels that are continually refilled. The barrels used for the Vintage Cask are barrels made of European oak and ex-bourbon barrels from America. The barrels were deliberately chosen to be as close as possible to the style of Glenfiddich from its founding year of 1887, when barrels made of European oak were still largely used. Since whiskeys at the time were also much peatier, a good portion of the Glenfiddich Vintage Cask consists of peated whiskey. This is also clearly noticeable when you smell the copper-colored Glenfiddich Vintage Cask. There are strong aromas of peat and smoke, which are flanked by nuances of dried fruit, oak and leather. On the palate, this single malt whiskey has a strong aroma of honey, vanilla and again smoke. The peat cannot hide in the medium-long aftertaste either, although it is much milder here than on the nose and palate!

Corsair Triple Smoke Whiskey, 0.7 L, 40% The history of the Corsair Distillery It is not uncommon for good friends to open a business together. However, these businesses are less likely to be successful, as shared interests alone are usually not enough to run the business successfully. This is different for the Americans Darek Bell and Andrew Webber. Bell and Webber have known each other since kindergarten and now successfully run the Corsair Distillery together. The two experimented early on in the garage of Darek Bell and his wife Amy Lee with producing their own wine and beer. The products were very well received by friends and acquaintances, and so the two decided to produce alcoholic beverages professionally from then on. However, since they wanted something "spiritor", they decided to open a distillery! In the following years they visited numerous distilleries together to learn everything they needed to know about distillery technology through dialogue with the respective master distillers. After they had finally saved enough money for their own hand-hammered copper pot still, Bell and Webber began producing their own gin and whiskey. The Corsair Triple Smoke Whiskey The Corsair Distillery's portfolio is long and, in addition to some standard products, also includes experimental spirits and bottlings that are often only available for a short time. These special bottlings include, for example, a pumpkin brandy or whiskey that has been hopped. Another innovative distillate from the Corsair Distillery is the Corsair Triple Smoke Whiskey. The idea behind this whiskey is as simple as it is ingenious. As with a good Scottish whisky, the basis is malted barley. This is divided into three fractions before processing, each of which is smoked in a different way. While two fractions are gently smoked over milder cherry or birch wood, the third and final part of the malt is smoked with strong peat smoke. After distillation, the still young but already very aromatic whiskey is filled into new, charred barrels for storage. Here it gains another dimension of taste through the notes of the heavily toasted wood. The Corsair Triple Smoke Whiskey is a very complex whiskey that does not overwhelm the palate with its strong smoky notes, but rather encourages you to take another sip. The Corsair Triple Smoke is a very successful whiskey that deserves attention!

Glenfarclas 105 Single Malt Whisky 1.0L 60% Glenfarclas - A pioneer in the whisky business The origins of the Glenfarclas distillery, located in the heart of Speyside, go back to 1836. At that time, Robert Hay founded the whisky distillery near the popular tourist Ballindalloch Castle. In its almost two hundred year history, Glenfarclas has blossomed into a Category 1 whisky. Only the malt whiskies most sought after by blending companies are listed under this category. This good reputation in the spirits industry does not come from nowhere. Glenfarclas has been a pioneer in the whisky business for years. Glenfarclas was one of the first distilleries to bring single malt bottlings of different ages and alcohol content onto the market. Glenfarclas also played a pioneering role in opening a visitor centre for visitors. Almost 200 years of tradition After opening in 1836, Robert Hay had to wait another eight years before he was granted a licence to distill whisky. The distillery quickly built up a good reputation, so that businessman John Grant decided to buy it in 1865 for £511.19. The distillery remained in family ownership and is now run by the fifth and sixth generation of Grants. Because the company has always remained family owned, it has been able to bypass many of the rigid organisational structures of the normal spirits industry, which made many of the decisions mentioned possible. According to the Grants, the company's current goal is to continue the high quality of its own whiskies in the classic style of Speyside single malts. The 105 Cask Strength - A special whisky The color of deep peat gold is evidence of the power of this whisky. The complex bouquet then reveals notes of oak, pears, caramel and leather. On the palate, aromas of fruity sherry are revealed, which are underlined by a strong spiciness. The powerful aftertaste convinces with a warming, long-lasting smoky note. The cask strength of 60% vol. challenges the whisky connoisseur, which is why the addition of a few drops of water is recommended. The water opens up the whisky, revealing even more of its depth. In the whisky world, the Glenfarclas 105 enjoys a good reputation, particularly because of its price/quality ratio, and is often called "bang for your buck."

Aberlour Double Cask Single Malt Whisky 16 years 0.7L 43% The Scottish malt distillery Aberlour (pronounced "aberlauer") is located in the heart of Speyside, more precisely at the confluence of the Lour and Spey rivers. The distillery was founded in 1879, but was rebuilt in 1898 after a major fire. Aberlour's malts are part of Glen Campbell's blends and are particularly popular in France.The Aberlour Double Cask Single Malt Whisky 16 years matures in a combination of former bourbon and the finest ex-sherry casks. This special type of maturation guarantees a deep and complex character with a pronounced fruitiness and the typical Aberlour spiciness. Arran Single Malt Whisky Port Cask Finish 0.7L 50% The Isle of Arran is a Scottish island that lies between the mainland and the Kintyre peninsula. Because the island has a large north-south landscape, it is often referred to as a miniature version of Scotland.Whisky was first produced on the Isle of Arran in 1825. The Lagg Distillery closed its doors in 1837, however, and it would be over 150 years before whisky from the Isle of Arran could be purchased again.In 1995, the famous master blender Harold Currie opened the Isle of Arran Distillers to produce a malt exactly according to his ideas. He gets the water from the Easan Biorach River and the malt is unpeated and comes from a malthouse in the idyllic Pencaitland.The distillery quickly gained popularity, particularly through its Cask Finish whiskies. Harold Currie counts this edition, which is matured in old port wine barrels, as one of the three best products in his Cask Finish series. A classic single malt complemented by warming aromas of plums, apple pie, mandarins and much more.

Poit Dhubh Malt Whisky 12 years, 0.7 L, 43% Isle of Skye The Scottish island of Isle of Skye is home to the independent bottler Prabàn Na Linne Ltd., or better known as 'The Gaelic Whiskies'. They specialize in quality products without chill filtering. Blended Malt Whisky 12 years The aroma clearly has notes of smoky and spicy wood. A fine aroma of citrus, caramel and ripe, juicy pears can also be recognized. These develop on the palate into a rich bouquet with sweet malt and caramel notes and a fruity hint of orange. They continue into the finish with a long, soft and slightly smoky aftertaste.

Bunnahabhain Islay Single Malt Whisky 12 years 0.7L 46.3% The Bunnahabhain distillery is one of the very few distilleries that has been managed by the same owner (Highland Distillers) since it was founded in 1887. Bunnahabhain is located on the north-eastern corner of the famous whisky island of Islay and has always been valued for its soft, gentle, fruity and light style, which is not typical for Islay.The malt is only very lightly peated and the water used is hardly peaty, which is not a given for Islay water. This pleasantly gentle and fresh malt matured for 12 years in the barrel and shows beautiful, sweet malt aromas combined with a hint of peat. The aftertaste is fruity, full and refreshing. A very nice whisky!

Deanston Virgin Oak Malt Whisky 0.7L 46.3% The Scottish malt distillery Deanston is located just above the famous Highland line and has been producing whisky since 1966. In addition to whisky, the distillery also produces other spirits such as gin and vodka. With two wash stills and two spirit stills, the distillery has an annual output of around 3,000,000 l.This single malt was finished in new barrels made of American white oak and was not chill-filtered. This gives it an intense bouquet of freshly cut wood, apple, lemon peel and vanilla. Aromas of toffee, honey and sweet malt are noticeable on the palate. In the long aftertaste, clear notes of fresh wood are again present. An exciting whisky for individualists!

Edradour Single Malt Whisky Caledonia 12 years 0.7L 46% The idyllic highland distillery Edradour is located near the town of Pitlochry, which has a population of 2,500, in Perthshire, Scotland. The city welcomes its guests with the Gaelic greeting "Ceud mile fàilte" - 100,000 welcomes".Although the greeting has nothing to do with the distillery, it also receives around 100,000 visitors annually. There are 20 employees in the visitor center, who are only faced with three master distillers. They produce around 250,000 bottles of whisky per year and can hardly meet the high demand from collectors and connoisseurs.Edradour's good reputation is based in particular on the numerous different finishes, i.e. storage in different types of barrels. Many lovers consider the Caledonia to be particularly successful, as it was allowed to mature in barrels that formerly contained Oloroso sherry. Oloroso sherry is a type of sherry that has been developed using strong oxidation and was therefore able to develop strong nut and dried fruit aromas.
