Highland Park Viking Heart 15 Years Single Malt Whisky 0.7L 44% With the new Single Malt Scotch Whisky, the Highland Park distillery based on the Scottish island of Orkney, in collaboration with 'Wade Ceramics', is presenting its latest creation. 'Wade Ceramics' has been a well-known manufacturer of ceramic items in Great Britain since 1810. For a special bottle design, an sich has therefore teamed up with the manufacturer and created a truly exceptional ceramic bottle with strong embossing. Single malts from three different types of barrels were selected for the marriage: In addition to first-filled sherry and European and American oak barrels, refill barrels were also used. The aroma initially surprises with heather, a light smoky aroma and roasted cinnamon sticks. On the palate, a fine aroma of vanilla biscuit with subtle citrus notes, pineapple notes and intense honey notes develops and develops into a long and complex aftertaste with light peat notes.

Abducted Malt Whisky 0.7L 40% The label on the whisky bottle alone suggests that this is a sensational whisky. The label shows a torn newspaper cutting with the headline: 'Abducted Malt Whisky'. In German this means something like 'Kidnapped Malt Whisky'. It's easy to imagine that this is worth a headline. This headline can be explained as follows: The malt whisky is produced in Scotland. After distillation it is 'abducted' to Jerez in Spain to mature in a selection of special sherry casks. You can choose from Amontillado, Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez casks. Here a good third of the total whisky is divided into each type of cask, then it is matured for seven years. The maturation period is carried out using the typical Solera method. Flavours A special whisky with an exceptional character. It is very creamy and solid on the palate. The aromas are spicy to piquant, but all together they still make an elegant, well-rounded whisky. The finish is also a soft, round whisky with a medium-long finish. The notes of ripe berries and the influence of the sherry casks are evident in the form of a pleasant sweetness.

Caperdonich Speyside Single Malt Whisky 18 years 0.7L 48% Caperdonich Distillery If you have never heard this name before, you may be more familiar with the name 'Glen Grant No. 2', as the distillery was originally built as a kind of clone next to the Glen Grant distillery. That was in 1902, in the middle of the whisky boom, but this phase quickly died down and the distillery found it difficult to sell its whisky. So production was mothballed for the first time and leftover whisky served as a reserve for Glen Grant. In the middle of the twentieth century there was a second wave of the whisky boom, but here too the founders of Glen Grant No. 2 did not really succeed in emerging from the shadow of the large distillery and so it was closed in 2002 and completely demolished just under ten years later. However, some independent bottlers still own one or two of the distillery's barrels and so whisky lovers can still enjoy one of their whiskies today. Caperdonich 18 years Buying whisky from a distillery that has been shut down and demolished for several years is a special feature in itself. But to then receive an original bottling from the distillery surpasses this special feature many times over and makes every collector's heart beat faster. In 2019, the last owner of the Caperdonich distillery, Chivas Brothers, decided to release small batches from the remaining barrels and make them available as special series for the travel retail market. One of these bottlings is the 18 YO Peated Small Batch Releases, which matured in barrels made of fresh oak after distillation. The aroma on the nose is a mix of memories of campfires, peat soil and fresh notes of ginger and orange. Phenolic peat notes are also revealed on the palate, along with fruity apple notes and sweet cane sugar.

Highland Park Single Malt Whisky Triskelion Special Edition 0.7L 45.1% This special edition was bottled on the occasion of the event "100 years of shared whisky knowledge". It is a creation by the current whisky maker Gordon Motion and two former master distillers of the distillery. They are Max McFarlane and John Ramsay. It is a whisky blend from different barrels, that is to say: whisky from Spanish oak barrels first filled with sherry, American oak barrels first filled with sherry, first filled bourbon barrels and a small amount from refill barrels. The symbol that can be seen on the bottle label also has a special meaning, as always with Highland Park. Bunnahabhain Single Malt Whisky 25 years 0.7L 46.3% This bottling from the Bunnahabhain Distillery in the north of the western Scottish island of Islay, which has been matured for 25 years in selected sherry and bourbon whiskey casks, has an amber-gold color and offers the discerning whiskey lover almost everything their whiskey heart desires. The distillery is the northernmost on the Scottish mainland and is called simply Pulteney, while it calls its whisky Old Pulteney. The adjective is not intended to refer to the whisky's great age, but rather to the fact that it matures particularly quickly. For a long time, Old Pulteney whiskies were only available from independent bottlers. Since 1997, however, it has also been available in distillery bottlings and since around 2008 Old Pulteney has experienced a significant upswing and is very popular with enthusiasts. Because of its sherry flavor and its slightly salty and dry taste, Old Pulteney is often referred to as the "Manzanilla of the North."
