Cape Fynbos Gin Citrus Edition 0,5L 43%

Product information "Cape Fynbos Gin Citrus Edition 0,5L 43%"

Cape Fynbos Gin Citrus Edition 0.5L 43%

South Africa

This South African gin is a top product among the gin varieties. It is distilled four times in small batches in small copper stills in collaboration with the Wilderer Distillery in Paarl. Premium juniper berries and 33 other botanicals are added to the base alcohol. They all come from the area and are partly native plants that are picked by hand. The Fynbos vegetation is one of the most famous places for which the Cape region is world-famous. And the water that is used to mix it to drinking strength also comes from the surrounding region, the Franschhoek Mountains, and is pure mountain spring water.

Cape Fynbos Gin Citrus Edition

The basis of the Citrus Edition is the already well-known Cape Fynbos Gin. This is then macerated with the peels of five different citrus fruits for two weeks.
A complex aroma is created and moves between herbal aromas, oranges and spice notes such as cloves and white pepper, rounded off by the sweet taste of honey.

With great attention to detail and the finest ingredients, Alexander Gordon began creating a gin with a very high juniper content in his London distillery in the Southwark district in 1769. The district itself was also an important location for Gordon, as it was known for its excellent, clean water, which was needed as a base for the alcohol. A good twenty years after the company was founded, the company moved to Goswell Road in Clerkenwell. Even today, Gordon's Gin is still produced under license in the Scottish Cameronbridge distillery and at other locations worldwide. From the 19th century, Gordon's Gin also supplied the Royal Navy. In the early 19th century, the company quickly became a purveyor to the Royals, including King George V and the Prince of Wales, as well as Queen Elizabeth II and her mother, Queen Mum. Gordon's Gin has always stood for an expressive juniper taste and is very popular with gin lovers. It is ideal for a fine gin and tonic, with a wedge of lime or in a cocktail.

Tanqueray Dry Gin Rangpur Miniatur 0,05L 41,3%
Tanqueray Dry Gin Rangpur Miniature 0.05L 41.3% Tanqueray Gin is now one of the world's most valued gin varieties. This is a very traditional brand from England and its roots can be traced back to 1830. Charles Tanqueray, the company founder, built a distillery in the London district of Bloomsbury in 1830. Gin of exclusive quality was produced there, which was quickly exported a good 15 years later. After Charles Tanqueray's death, his son Charles Waugh inherited the company and in 1898 the distillery merged with Gordon's Gin to form Tanqueray Gordon & Co. The brand quickly became a cult product in the United States and is used primarily in dry martinis. During German air raids in 1941, a large part of the distillery was unfortunately destroyed, but a still, which is still in use today, remained intact. Today, the majority of production takes place in Cameronbridge, Scotland, where a new site has been built. Tanqueray Dry Gin Rangpur This gin was created to offer customers a fruitier, milder alternative. Juniper, angelica root and coriander, the traditional botanicals of almost every gin, are enriched with ginger and Rangpur Limes. Rangapur Limes, what is it? Rangapur is a citrus plant and is believed to be a cross between a lemon/orange and a tangerine and probably comes from the Rangpur region of Bangladesh. These additional ingredients are only added to the gin during the final distillation process, so the aromas come out clearly in the taste. The taste is somewhat unusual for Tanqueray connoisseurs, because for a Tanqueray Gin there is a rather subtle juniper note. Because here the fruity notes of the Rangpur are clearly in the foreground. It is a brilliant choice to give the gin a unique, fruity and strong taste. Tanqueray Dry Gin Rangpur is a good alternative to normal dry gin and harmonizes perfectly with tonic water and a slice of lime.

Xoriguer Gin Miniatur 0,05L 38%
Xoriguer Gin Mahon Miniatur 0,05L 38%
Xoriguer Gin Mahon Miniature 0.05L 38% The national drink of Menorca Anyone who has ever visited the Spanish holiday island of Menorca will know that you can't avoid this typical Menorcan drink. What exactly is this great national drink that everyone is talking about? Gin! Gin? That is certainly something that one or two people are asking themselves at this point. But you read that correctly. The key word is: British influences. And it quickly becomes clear that gin is not completely out of the question. The history of Menorca Gin goes back to 1708, when British naval officers occupied the island. Of course, they brought a certain supply of the British national drink with them, but this ran out faster than supplies could arrive. Locals on the Balearic island agreed to support the officers and make their own gin locally. Juniper berries were imported from Great Britain, now all that was missing was a base. Since Menorca was heavily involved in wine production, they tried using a wine distillate instead of the usual grain distillate. By adding some local herbs and spices, they managed to create their own gin. This was ultimately so popular that an entire brand, 'Xoriguer', was developed from it. The rights to the name were secured, so that today Xoriguer Gin is the only gin with a designation of origin alongside 'London Dry Gin'! The distillery is still in the hands of the Xoriguer family, who still produce it according to the original recipe from the 18th century. Exactly which spices, herbs or other ingredients are used to refine the wine is still a well-kept family secret. Menorcan taste The presentation in traditional jug-like bottles alone gives one hope of Balearic flair. And it really has a lot to offer: it is a tangy, fresh gin, which is surprisingly restrained with fruity notes. A piquant, very unique spice can be discovered. For the comparatively little fruitiness, there are clearly floral notes of violets. It always seems fresh with woody notes, which probably come from being stored in oak barrels. Everyone is recommended to taste this very own gin neat first, because with its multifaceted and mild bouquet it is also very convincing. Of course, with its great aromas it also goes well in cocktails and even in a martini it looks good.

Elg Gin No. 0 Miniature 0.05L 47.2% Stone Grange Distillery A fairly young distillery, founded in 2009 in Fredensborg on Lake Esrom, where the company's own lands extend to the lake. Over the years, the company has tried many things, producing brandy as well as aquavit and absinthe. Today, however, the focus is on the production of gin. Master distiller Henrik Elsner is responsible for production at the distillery. When the decision was made to produce gin, it was decided to make it from just three botanicals in order to gain a foothold in the broad gin market and to impress with a very special juniper brandy. The company also wanted to produce a gin in which none of the botanicals stood out so much, but rather one that was characterized by a particularly good balance. To date, there are six different gins, all based on ELG No. 0. Compound Gin ELG Gins are so-called compound gins. This means that each botanical is distilled separately before it is mixed with the base alcohol made from wheat. However, the three botanicals are also treated differently in order to obtain 100% of the best taste from each individual component. Coriander seeds, for example, contain many 'disturbing' taste components that are lost during distillation.

Elg Gin No. 2 Miniatur
Elg Gin No. 2 Miniatur, 0,05L 46,3%
Elg Gin No. 2 Miniature 0.05L 46.3% Gin not for everyone The Stone Range Distillery is already used to taking unusual paths with its first gin, Gin No. 1. With its second gin, the small Danish distillery takes a journey back in time to the 18th century and follows in the footsteps of a true explorer. Tom Chamberlain may have distilled ordinary gin in Victorian England, but in his free time he was always tinkering with new recipes in his well-equipped laboratory. Only particularly important customers of Chamberlain were allowed to taste these creations and when word got around about the existence of these special drops, everyone wanted to try “Tom Gin”. The reason the gin was so different was because of an alcoholic extract of the juniper berry. In the laboratory Based on the Elg Gin No. To create Gin No. 1, which consists of juniper, cardamom and carrots, master distiller Henrik Elsner, like Chamberlain, experimented and carried out tests which resulted in a dark, sweet and strong gin. The special thing about it is the naturally homemade juniper extract which is added to Gin No. 1 and thus enhances its sensory qualities. A wide variety of mixing ratios of juniper berries and alcohol strengths were tested until the final recipe was determined. The extraction process used is called maceration, in which the juniper berries are soaked in 50% alcohol for a month. During this time the alcohol takes on the aroma and color of the berries. After straining this mixture, at the end of the process you are left with an extract with a slightly reduced alcohol content which can then be used to refine the gin. Special then and now The extract now has a variety of aromas from the juniper plant which could not have been achieved through distillation. Used in the right proportions, this expands the aroma spectrum to include a particularly intense, fruity-sweet juniper aroma. The distillate is also no longer clear but has a violet color. The alcohol content has also shifted to around 46% vol. Gin No. 2 is a pleasure to drink neat, and you can understand only too well why the gin from "Old Tom" was so well received back then. The gin supplied here comes in a perfect miniature format and is ideal for making a first impression.

Elg Gin No.1 Miniatur, 0,05L 47,2%
Elg Gin No.1 Miniature 0.05L 47.2% A gin like Danish design The name "Elg" is Danish for "elk" and, in addition to the name of the gin, this is also the nickname of the award-winning master distiller Henrik Elsner. He distills a truly remarkable gin on Zealand, the largest of the Danish islands. It consists of just three ingredients, which seems very simple and sober, especially these days when there are sometimes up to 50 different botanicals in a gin. The Elg gin stands out from the crowd precisely because it is reduced to a handful of ingredients. This shows true distilling skill in a different way: balancing three strong ingredients to create a tasty whole. Exceptional ingredients As is often the case with gin, the basis here at Stone Grange is a raw spirit made from wheat. Juniper berries and coriander are also more of a norm for a gin. But with the last ingredient, Elsner takes an unusual and unusual path: carrots. As inappropriate as this may sound at first, when you take a closer look at this vegetable and its biochemical composition, it seems all the more appropriate to test it in combination with a gin. The root vegetable has a high proportion of terpenes, these highly aromatic compounds are important components of essential oils. Carrots therefore contain exactly what is essential for a tasty gin - lots of aroma. This high proportion of essential oils is even visually recognizable in the glass when drinking, because if the gin is mixed with ice cubes or a filler, the clear distillate turns milky white. This so-called opal effect occurs particularly in spirits with a particularly high concentration of essential oils. Less is more Thanks to these three ingredients, the distillery has succeeded in producing a particularly pure gin with a precise taste. All ingredients are equally important for the overall impression, nothing covers up or distorts its partners. So the name fits the gin perfectly: Elks are loners in nature, just as this gin with its minimalist, unusual ingredients stands out on the market with this unique selling point. The gin delivered here comes in a perfect miniature format and is ideal for the first impression.

Ginself Gin Miniature 0.05L 40% A good gin can only come from its homeland Great Britain? Wrong thought, one would now say, because more and more companies from other countries are trying their hand at gin production: With success! Recently it has become apparent that the Spanish can also produce excellent gin. Ginself, a gin from Valencia, shows the connoisseur a rather subliminally Mediterranean gin, but one that is produced with a great deal of dedication and attention to detail. Ginself Gin A lot of the work is still done by hand and so this is an absolute premium gin, because a maximum of 500 liters are produced in each batch. This takes place in a historic facility that dates back to the 18th century. The raw alcohol for Ginself is distilled from beets in which the botanicals are then soaked for 24 hours. The distillery draws the water used to make the gin from the springs of the Sierra de España. The company deliberately avoids frills when selecting botanicals and instead relies primarily on sun-drenched citrus fruits, for which the southern state is also known. The focus is on orange blossom, bitter oranges and tangerines. In addition to the classic botanicals such as angelica root, whose Mediterranean roots also come from Valencia or Sicily, tiger nuts are also used in Ginself, creating slightly nutty, tart tones. The taste On the nose, a very fresh, fruity aroma of aromatic tangerines and orange blossoms. The aroma is filled with spicy and floral notes. In terms of taste, Ginself offers a soft and mouth-filling gin. Strong citrus notes mixed with light earthy tones fulfill the expectations that you already had in your head when you opened the bottle. The finish then offers a long-lasting freshness that reminds you for a while of the citrus fruits that were used here. You should definitely try this gin neat, but it can also be served excellently as a gin & tonic, which is particularly suitable for fans of more fruity tones. Now also as a miniature.

In the summer of 2010, Bill Welter interned at the Koval Distillery in Chicago and learned how to make rye whisky there. Journeyman is pleased to be able to offer people hand-crafted spirits. All of the ingredients needed to make the whisky come from the Midwest region. The water is untreated and unfiltered and comes from the groundwater of Three Oaks. The Journeyman Distillery is housed in a historic building. It is located in an old factory in the town of Three Oaks (Michigan), where corsets were made until the late 19th century. After extensive renovation work, this now serves as the home of the whiskey distillery. Journeyman Bilberry Black Hearts Gin This gin is named after the well-known fruit bilberry and is a relative of the blueberry or huckleyberry (American blueberry). The whiskey has the additional name 'Black Heart' because the fruit was nicknamed "Black Heart" in the 19th century due to its dark color. In addition to the taste of the fruity blueberry, the gin has been refined with traditional botanicals such as juniper and lemon, as well as other ingredients such as bitter orange, cinnamon, coriander and angelica. Harahorn Gin Miniatur 0,05L 46%
Harahorn Gin Miniatur 0,05L 46%
Harahorn Gin Miniature 0.05L 46% History Harahorn Gin is named after a Norwegian mountain in Hemsedal, where the wonderful juniper berries are harvested, and after a Norwegian legendary figure that no one has seen to this day. Known in North America as a 'jackalope', and called 'Harahorn' in Norway, it refers to a horned hare. After a production monopoly for alcohol existed in the Nordic countries, which was lifted for Norway in 2005, the former Puntervold / Agder Brenneri (now Det Norske Brenneri) was able to operate its production and barrel storage facilities in Grimstad in the south of Norway. They mainly produced apple wine and the caraway schnapps that is popular in the Scandinavian countries. They were the first private distillery after 80 years of state monopoly. Harahorn Gin The long summer days and the dark, cold winter nights create the perfect climatic conditions for the berries and herbs used in Harahorn Gin. Alcohol from potatoes forms the basis here. In addition, only selected, regional botanicals are used, with which the producers have experimented for a long time. In addition to the juniper from Røros, these include blueberries from Nordmarka on the outskirts of Oslo and seaweed from the city. This gin is produced in relatively small equipment with a capacity of 300 liters and is therefore a very special gin with each distillation process. Harahorn Gin can now be found not only in delicatessens and specialty stores. It can also be found above the clouds. SAS Flights has added the Scandinavian gin to its range. The guests on board should be offered a unique experience and so the Harahorn Gin joins the diverse selection of artisanal drinks on board. Tasting Don't be fooled by the typically clear appearance of this gin: clear aroma of juniper and citrus fruits on the nose. A surprisingly deep taste. In addition to the unmistakable juniper berries, spicy notes round off the overall picture of the gin and convince in the finish with the lasting freshness of the citrus fruits.
