Gustva Metsä

Vodka and liqueurs have been handcrafted in Siikaranta Kuopio for 160 years. The family business has stood for the highest quality for years, which can be seen in the many awards its products have received.
The expression of all Gustav products comes from the untouched forests and swamp areas of Finland. Here, berries and plants grow in a natural atmosphere before they are hand-picked for use in Gustav products. Some well-known ones include spruce shoots, birch leaves and rowan berries, for example. Transparency and sustainability are our top priority. It is therefore very important that, in addition to the raw materials, production facilities, logistics and partner companies also follow an ethical code. Always with the idea of being able to offer the authentic taste of the Arctic at all times.

The Gustva Metsä Gin

The company's gin is a perfect example of the philosophy for Nordic nature and is, so to speak, a homage to it. In terms of taste, you should experience a journey across a meadow covered in morning dew into the shade of the summer spruce forest.
A spicy and floral taste awaits you, rounded off by the aroma of fresh juniper berries. As the drink progresses, other herbs can be recognized, and cardamom and citrus aromas are also present.

Gustav Arctic Vodka About Lignell & Piispanen and Gustav Arctic Vodka Gustav Arctic Vodka is produced by the Finnish company Lignell & Piispanen. Lignell & Piispanen is a family business founded in 1852, which is now run by the sixth and seventh generation of the Nylund family. Lignell & Piispanen was founded by Gustav Ranin, who acquired the then very well-known "Crown Distillery" in the city of Kuopio in 1859, just a few years after its founding. The Crown Distillery was founded in 1783 by King Gustav III of Sweden and was already one of the most technologically advanced distilleries in the country. Gustav Ranin introduced a company philosophy that placed particular emphasis on respecting the Nordic wilderness and working with the products it provided. Based on this philosophy, Gustav Ranin developed the recipe for a vodka that laid the foundation for the success of the Lignell & Piispanen company. About Gustav Arctic Vodka Gustav Arctic Vodka is still produced today according to Gustav Ranin's almost unchanged recipe. This means that the best wheat is distilled in a multiple distillation process to produce high-proof Gustav Arctiv Vodka. This is then filtered and diluted with fine arctic spring water to a pleasant 40% ABV. This is how a lot of manual work results in a very pure and high-quality vodka that is known far beyond the country's borders. The taste of Gustav Arctic Vodka Gustav Arctic Vodka is a very dry vodka that never seems too sharp. The mouthfeel of Gustav Arctic Vodka can best be described as gentle. Fine aromas of grain dominate the taste and can still be clearly perceived in the aftertaste, which is relatively long for a vodka. Due to its very well-rounded taste, Gustav Arctic Vodka is ideal for drinking neat. Whether lightly or heavily chilled is something every connoisseur has to decide for themselves. But Gustav Arctic Vodka unfolds its enormous potential not only neat, but also in cocktails. A vodka for connoisseurs and gourmets!

Gustav Metsä Gin 0.5L 43.2% Lignell& Piispanen The distillery is now in its sixth generation and is proud to create the finest quality-tested spirits from Arctic botanicals. The Nordic regions with their fascinating botanicals are always an inspiration for the company. With a company history spanning more than 165 years, we can proudly say that this has always been successful. To this day, it is the third oldest company still in operation in Finland! When Gustav Ranin founded the company in 1852, he imported and sold high-quality whiskeys and cognacs. The oldest products still owned by the family and still available are the Savon Wiina from 1869, the Great Cognac from 1872 and the Honeycomb from 1882. Today the company is focused in a different direction and is responsible for producing the finest spirits itself. With its products, the distillery wants to bring a small piece of Finland to the world. Great importance is attached to transparency and sustainable development. Over the years the company has learned to concentrate on the essentials, on special aromas in which the origin can be recognized. Metsä Gin The name comes from the Finnish word 'Metsä', which means 'forest' in English. The Finnish Gustav Metsä Gin is a real 'forest gin'. Only herbs, berries and spices from the Nordic forests are used in its production. Spruce shoots, rowan berries and birch leaves, to name just a few of the botanicals, are the main ingredients in this Nordic gin, along with pronounced juniper aromas. The floral and spicy notes first appear on the nose. Its full complexity then becomes apparent on the palate. The aromas already identified are joined by other herbs, cardamom and a refreshing note of citrus fruits.

Gustav Blueberry Vodka Miniature 0.05L 40% The Lignell & Piispanen distillery from Finland is not only one of the oldest distilleries in the country, but has also been supplying the best quality products for generations. Founded in 1852, the family business is now run more than successfully by the sixth and seventh generation of the Nylund family. The company philosophy aims to respect the raw materials, to respect the wilderness and to only take as much of it as is necessary so that there is enough time for these great raw materials to grow back in peace. Berries and fruits in the Nordic wilderness are true treasures. In many untouched areas, they can thrive in peace and develop a distinctive aroma, undisturbed by many environmental influences. In order to show respect for this work of nature, fruits and berries are hand-picked at Lignell & Piispan, thus demonstrating the company's connection and ecological mindset. The base of Gustav Arctic Vodka is still distilled today according to the almost unchanged recipe of the founder Gustav Ranin's and is based on the best Finnish wheat. For the Blueberry Vodka, this base Arctic Vodka was then refined with an extract of wild blueberries. What is special about this flavored vodka compared to many others is that the fresh, berry aroma is really maintained right up to the finish. The sweet grain notes of Gustav Vodka and the aromatic berry notes create a complex taste. In this version, too, the Gutav Vodka is incredibly soft, with a long, warm finish and a fruity, berry aroma that lingers for a long time.

Gustav Tilli Dill Vodka Miniature 0.05L 40% Competence for over 160 years The history of the quality products of the Lignell & Piispan distillery goes back to the 19th century. At that time it was Gustav Ranin who made it his mission to produce spirits by hand to the best of his ability. In 1859 Ranin took over the "Crown Distillery", which had already been in existence for 76 years, and thus laid the first course for what is now the world-famous Finnish art of distilling. Today the distillery is already in its seventh generation. The connection and appreciation of nature as well as old recipes have been passed down from generation to generation and show us the dedication and quality awareness with which the Lignell & Piispan distillery distills. Dill Vodka With the Tilli/Dill Vodka, the distillery has once again created an absolute taste sensation. This shows the centuries of experience and connection with Finnish nature. You get a fine vodka that has been flavored with really fresh dill notes. The taste of the Arctic Vodka alone in combination with the dill aroma is completely balanced, the softness and the great aroma of the Gustav Vodka is not suppressed and yet dill is present here at all times. Anyone who dares to try this exceptionally flavored vodka should know that it goes perfectly with fish and seafood dishes. It also provides a special taste experience in long drinks or cocktails, e.g. with tonic water and fresh basil.

Nagu Small Batch Gin 0,5L 47%
Nagu Small Batch Gin 0,5L 47%
Nagu Small Batch Gin 0.5L 47% Where can you find the Nagu distillery? The Finnish distillery, which was founded in 1996 and is based in the Finnish archipelago, is still largely unknown. This is part of the Baltic Sea, on the southwest coast of Finland. If you want to know exactly, the distillery, based in the Flipper Boats factory, is located on the Nagu archipelago. Hence the name of the gin. The Nagu Spirit After its founding, nothing was produced here for some time until two men who were friends and who had once become friends on the island returned to their homeland. Now, after a certain period of getting used to it and trying it out, they launched their first gin in June 2019: Nagu Small Batch Gin. It is a rather dry and rough gin that is intended to reflect the spirit of the island archipelago. The most distinctive botanicals in this Finnish gin are juniper, rosemary and fennel, as well as the aroma of spruce shoots, which is something you don't normally find in a gin, but which represents the Finnish landscape very well.
