Product information "Zafra Master Series Rum 30 Jahre 0,7L 40%"

Zafra Master Series Rum 30 Years 0.7L 40%

Limited Edition from Panama

It's no longer a secret that rum comes from this region. But since some of the finest and most special rums come from here, it's not that common. The conditions here are always optimal, because on one side you have the Caribbean Sea and on the other the Pacific, and the warm, humid climate and the soils, which are characterized by volcanic rock, offer ideal conditions for growing sugar cane.
Zafra Rum is produced in a small distillery called 'Las Cabra'. For this 30-year-old rum from the Master Series, master blender Don Pancho'Fernandez selected special barrels and married them to create Zafra Rum 30 Years. To give it a distinctive character, it matured for 30 years in bourbon casks.
With a worldwide edition of only around 6720 bottles, it is particularly popular with collectors and strictly limited, which also increases its value.

Bewitching taste

Even on the nose you can smell a pleasantly sweet smell with aromas of vanilla, caramel and fruity notes. These beguiling aromas continue in the taste as well. The palate is enchanted by soft notes of honey and caramel, oak tones and the fruity notes that were already present on the nose join in. Zafra Rum Master Reserve 21 Years Old 0,7L 40%
Zafra Rum Master Reserve 21 Years, 0,7 L, 40%
Zafra Master Reserve 21 Yo 0.7L 40% Rum from Panama Although the Central American state of Panama has just over three million inhabitants, it is known worldwide. In addition to the country's strategically important location, this is of course also due to the famous Panama Canal, which is still considered the most important waterway in the world. Panama also has a good reputation in gourmet circles. However, this is less due to technical achievements such as the Panama Canal than to the excellent rums produced in Panama. Of the country's 75,517 km², 8.8% is used for agriculture. In addition to bananas, pineapples, corn and coffee, a not insignificant part of the agricultural land is planted with sugar cane - the basic requirement for producing rum. Due to the excellent climatic conditions in Panama, sugar cane, which belongs to the grass family, thrives very well and has a high sugar content. A high sugar content is of course also important for the sugar cane harvest, which is called "zafra" in Panama. Zafra Master Reserve 21 years Zafra means sugar cane harvest and is intended to indicate that the sugar cane for the Zafra Master Reserve 21 years is only harvested at the best possible time. After the harvest, the sugar cane is processed as quickly as possible in order to preserve the most important ingredients as best as possible. During the processing of the sugar cane, the brownish and thick molasses that is used for the Zafra Master Reserve 21 years is also created. This is diluted with water, then mixed with yeast and fermented. The fermented molasses is then distilled in continuously operating column stills and the raw distillate obtained in this way is filled into former bourbon whiskey barrels for maturation. The rum matures in these for an impressive 21 years and is then bottled at 40% vol. The taste of the Zafra Master Reserve 21 years Naturally, the long storage time in bourbon barrels does not go unnoticed by this very dark rum. The nose already reveals fine, sweet aromas of vanilla and caramel, accompanied by nuances of banana and pear. On the palate, the rum is relatively strong, but not too woody and has a fine sweetness. The aftertaste is long and characterized by caramel and apricot. A nice sipping rum!

Zaya Gran Reserva 0,7L 40%

Average rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars

Zaya Gran Reserva 0,7L 40%
Zaya Gran Reserva 0.7L 40% Zaya – Guatemala Originally, products of the rum brand were both produced and matured in Zaya, Guatemala. In 2008, however, production was moved to Trinidad and Tobago and is now distributed locally by Trinidad Disitllers Ltd. The Zaya Gran Reserva is produced there according to an old secret recipe and is a blend of different rums to come close to the original taste of Guatemalan rum. The blend consists of up to five different distillates, which all go through the distillation process separately before being married together. Finally, the rum is stored in French oak barriques. Tasting As soon as you open the bottle, an incredible aroma unfolds. Notes of vanilla, mocha and also fruity aromas of mandarin and pear are evident here and are also clearly recognizable on the palate. Spices and vanilla are the strongest of the aromas and together with smoky oak notes they form a great bouquet. Due to its relatively low alcohol content, the Zaya Gran Reserva has a soft texture and is particularly suitable for pure enjoyment.

Zacapa Centenario Rum XO Solera Gran Reserva 0,7L 40%
Zacapa Centenario Rum XO Solera Gran Reserva 0,7L 40%
Zacapa Rum Centenario XO Solera Gran Reserva 0.7L 40% The history of Zacapa Rum The city of Zacapa is located in eastern Guatemala, at an altitude of 229 m above sea level. It was founded in 1876 on a railway line and the population grew rapidly as a result. Travelers from all over the world settled in the tranquil city of Zacapa, whose international name can still be found among the population today. In 1976, 100 years after its founding, the rum distillery based in Zacapa finally decided to develop a special bottling for this anniversary. The company's master distillers dug deep into their treasure chest and created an outstanding blend - the Zacapa Centenario Rum was born! The production of the Zacapa Centenario Rum XO Solera Gran Reserva The production of the Zacapa Centenario Rum XO Solera Gran Reserva begins on the plantation. Zacapa's sugar cane plantation is located in the volcanic plains of Retalhuleu, in southwest Guatemala. This place is particularly suitable for growing sugar cane because of its nutrient-rich soil and the high number of hours of sunshine. While other rum producers process their sugar cane into molasses and use it to distill rum, Zacapa takes a different approach. For the Zacapa Centenario Rum XO Solera Gran Reserva, only the fresh juice that can be obtained from the first pressing of the sugar cane is used. Experts call this high-quality juice "Virgin Sugar Cane Honey". This juice is then fermented and then distilled in a copper-lined column still, which gives the Zacapa Centenario Rum XO Solera Gran Reserva its unmistakable taste. The most important step in the production of the Zacapa Centenario Rum XO Solera Gran Reserva, however, only comes after distillation: storage. Zacapa rums are stored in the highlands of Quetzaltenango, 2300 meters above sea level, in the so-called "house above the clouds". This warehouse is one of the highest warehouses for spirits in the world. Due to low temperatures and lower air pressure, the climatic conditions are very different to those of comparable rum producers. The Zacapa rum matures more slowly and therefore has more time to intensify its aromas through barrel storage. Furthermore, the rums at Zacapa are blended according to the Spanish Solera system, i.e. a portion of the younger rum stored on top of several rows of barrels is filled into the row of older rum below. This creates a very harmonious rum with the same taste and often very old distillates. In this way, Zacapa succeeds in producing its world-famous Zacapa Centenario Rum XO Solera Gran Reserva with its incomparably deep aroma. The taste of the Zacapa Rum Centenario XO Solera Gran Reserva The Zacapa Centenario Rum XO Solera Gran Reserva contains rums that are between 6 and 25 years old and which, in addition to being stored in Pedro Ximinez sherry barrels and American white oak barrels, are also stored in barrels that formerly contained cognac. This makes the Zacapa Centenario Rum XO Solera Gran Reserva a very balanced rum with great sweetness and fruit but also with intense spicy notes. The color of the Zacapa Centenario Rum XO Solera Gran Reserva tends towards mahogany and the long "church windows" slowly run down the edge of the glass. We definitely recommend serving the Zacapa Centenario Rum XO Solera Gran Reserva neat and at room temperature. This is the only way the elegant Zacapa Centenario Rum XO Solera Gran Reserva can fully develop its full aroma of dark cherries, dates, plums, roasted nuts, vanilla and cinnamon!
