Malteco Rum matures for at least 15 years in oak barrels and comes from Panama, produced by Licorera Quezalteca. On the nose it shows a hint of coconut, raisins and vanilla cream. The rum was originally produced by the Licorera Quezalteca distillery in Quetzaltenango, part of the Industrias Licoreras de Guatemala group. The Malteco Rum Seleccion 1993 matured for at least 25 years in oak barrels that previously contained bourbon. This limited series is identified by numbered bottles. On the nose, the Malteco Rum Seleccion 1993 0.7L 40% presents itself intensely with notes of wood, nuts, vanilla and ripe fruit. On the palate it is round and complex, with aromas of nougat, Marasca cherry and other ripe fruits. The finish is long-lasting and satisfying.
