Nikka Coffey Gin 0,7L 47%
Nikka Coffey Gin 0.7L 47% The history of Nikka The Nikka company can look back on an exciting history. The group was founded in 1934 by the then forty-year-old Masataka Taketsuru, who went to Glasgow as a student in 1918 and during this time studied at the Lagavulin, Craggellachie and Hazelburn distilleries and brought this knowledge back to Japan to work there - under the direction of Shinjiro Torii - as production manager for the Yamazaki Distillery. In 1929 the two finally brought the first Japanese whisky onto the market before Taketsuru went into business for himself in 1934 and produced his first own whisky with the help of a small pot still in the city of Yoichi on the Japanese northern island of Hokkaido, which finally came onto the market in 1940. During the war, Taketsuru was forced to produce alcohol for war purposes and after this time things slowly but steadily went uphill and Nikka now ranks second among Japanese whisky producers behind Suntory. In addition to the original distillery, since 1969 production has also taken place in a much larger distillery in Miyagikyo Prefecture, which is also where Nikka Coffey Gin comes from. Nikka Coffey Gin Nikka Coffey Gin is made using 11 botanicals, which include juniper, coriander, lemon peel, orange peel and angelica root, as well as the citrus plants Amanatsu, Yuzu, Shīkuwāsā and Kabosu, as well as apple juice and Sansho pepper. On the nose and palate, the Nikka Coffey Gin shows a finely integrated citrus aroma and a strong juniper note as well as an enormous complexity that is very rarely found in the gin sector. For us, the Nikka Coffey Gin is one of the few gins that we think is worth tasting neat, although it does give high-quality cocktails like the Martini Dry that certain something and these stand out from the mass of standard drinks with the Nikka Coffey Gin as an ingredient.

Tobermory 12YO Non Chill Filtered Single Malt Scotch Whisky 0,7L 46,3%
Tobermory 12 Years Non Chill Filtered Single Malt Scotch Whisky 0.7L 46.3% Scottish Malt Distillery The Tobermory distillery is located on the Scottish island of Mull, takes its name from the island's capital of the same name, is the only distillery on the island and is also considered one of the oldest active distilleries in Scotland. It was founded in 1795 right next to the island's impressive waterfall. However, over the past few centuries it has been closed more often than it has been in operation. It has been owned by DCL since 1916. In the last century it was closed from 1930-1972, was then renovated and expanded to four stills and was also renamed 'Ledaig', under this name it was produced between 1972 and 1976. There were even two bottlings under this name. Up until 1993 there were numerous closures, bankruptcies and reopenings. Only with the sale to Burn Stewart did this back and forth come to an end. Since then the Tobermory distillery has produced smaller quantities, with only two stills and only uses little to no peated malt. In the past there was no clear line and so there were often very big (quality) differences. With the new owner there is now more clarity and two uniform lines: Ledaig Whisky & Tobermory Whisky. 12-year-old Non Chill Filtered Malt Whisky This bottling is a 12-year-old whisky from the rarities collection. With its colorful designs it is intended to be reminiscent of the colorful houses of the island's capital. The edition of the 12-year-old whisky was allowed to mature in Manzanilla barrels and is non-chill-filtered. This preserves an overwhelming abundance of aromas that reflect the spirit of the Isle of Mull. These aromas, which can be clearly perceived on the palate, include citrus notes, dried fruits, various finely balanced spices and creamy toffee notes. The finish also reveals a fruity, spicy, long-lasting bouquet.

Edinburgh Seaside Gin 1,0L 43%
Edinburgh Seaside Gin 1.0L 43% The distillery, which is dedicated to the art and science of special gins, is not that old. It was only in 2010 that Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland, began producing gin. This location was not chosen for nothing. The city's history of gin production, import and export can be traced back to the 17th century. In order to preserve the city's heritage, it was only right to devote heart and soul to gin production here. In addition to traditional production processes and recipes that are several centuries old, Edinburgh Gin is more interested in creating innovative gins in small batches. Through the collaboration with Heriot-Watt University, you have access to almost unlimited distillation knowledge and can use existing laboratories for analysis and further development. This Seaside Gin, inspired by the east coast, was created in cooperation with the MSC brewing and distilling centre at Heriot-Watt University. This gin represents a piece of almost untouched nature and is a very mineral-rich gin thanks to ingredients such as ground ivy and bladderwrack. Additional spices are coriander and cardamom. In terms of aroma and taste, the Edinburgh Gin clearly lives up to its promise. The use of botanicals found near the coast gives the gin a tough herbal flavour, and slightly sweet floral tones can also be detected. Especially for warm summer nights, the Seaside Gin gives a great holiday feeling with its maritime flair. Even if you are not a fan of pure gin, you should simply try this representative without any frills. If you would rather consume it in the form of a cocktail or long drink, we recommend a classic gin and tonic or a martini garnished with an olive.

Tobermory Single Malt Whisky 21 Yo Manzanilla Sherry Cask 0,7L 53,8%
Tobermory Single Malt Whisky 21 Years Manzanilla Sherry Cask 0.7L 53.8% The Tobermory distillery is the only one on the island of Mull, whose capital is also the namesake for the single malt whisky. The distillery has existed since the late 1790s, in the meantime whisky was also produced here under the name 'Ledaig' and, like almost all distilleries, was out of operation for a few years now and again. In 1990 it made its comeback. Special series To celebrate this properly, the distillery has decided on a special bottling series. This could be particularly interesting for collectors because the Tobermory distillery has come up with something very special: Each of the six bottles to be released in this special series will contain a colored perforation strip that is individually numbered. If you collect a strip from each bottle and send it to the distillery, you will be entered into a prize draw to win a 42-year-old Tobermory. Tobermory 21 years Before the cask strength bottling in 2017, two maturation phases took place after distillation. The first of these was in ex-bourbon barrels. The subsequent maturation then took place in Manzanilla sherry barrels. Manzanilla is a special form of sherry, which is made from partially unripe grapes and is known for its dry and tangy aroma. The Tobermory 21 years offers a dry, slightly oily mouthfeel. Notes of lemon and dried fruit give it a certain lightness. In the background, aromas such as coffee and dark chocolate can be recognized, oak wood and vanilla and orange aromas can also be recognized.

Isle of Raasay Hebridean Single Malt Scotch Whisky 0,7L 46,4%
Isle of Raasay Hebridean Single Malt Scotch Whisky 0.7L 46.4% Whisky from Raasay Isle of Raasay Whisky is the first legal whisky in Scottish history. The whisky is characterized above all by slightly peaty notes and its rich fruity aroma. Each batch of whisky is produced, stored and bottled on the Hebridean island of Raasay. Water from the company's own well 'Tobar na Ba Bàine' is used to dilute the fully matured distillate. R-01.1 The bottling, distilled in May 2018 and bottled in May 2022, matured in a number of different barrels. These include ex-rye barrels or Chinkapin oak barrels. The aroma is definitely characterized by fruity notes. Notes of various candied fruits and a hint of sea and smoke leave a fine first impression. On the palate, sweet caramel notes and other fruity notes, this time reminiscent of currants, and a slight spiciness pamper the senses. The finish is long and very balanced.
