The Opthimus rum from the Dominican Republic matured for at least 25 years in former bourbon whiskey barrels and then received an extra maturation period in a used single malt scotch whiskey barrel.
This bottling has a dark, reddish amber tone in color and offers the palate voluminous aromas of honey, toffee, vanilla, coffee, cocoa, chocolate and oak notes. The aftertaste of Opthimus Rum 25 Years is long and soft with sweet and spicy nuances.
