Although the Journeyman Distillery only opened in 2011, a visit gives the impression that it is much older. This is due to the building in which it was built. It is the historic factory site of the EK Warren Featherbone Factory in Three Oaks, Michigan - a former corset factory. The EK Warren Featherbone Factory revolutionized the manufacture of corsets by using quills instead of whale bones. These were much softer and therefore more comfortable to wear.
