Elg Gin No. 4 Miniature 0.05L 46.5% Like ELG No. 0 or No.1, ELG No. 4 is based on gin made from juniper berries, coriander seeds and carrots. Like the distillate used to make the base gin, which contains carrots from the Danish nursery Gärtnerei Toftelund, ELG No. 4 also contains an extract of black carrots. This is what gives it its special purple color. To make the black carrot extract, the carrots are placed in 50% alcohol immediately after delivery, which then gradually absorbs the carrots' purple pigments. As water is also extracted from the carrots during this process, the alcohol content is also reduced. After a week, the carrots are sieved and the purple extract is obtained. This now has an alcohol content of 38% and a wealth of aromas. ELG No. No. 4 is of course best enjoyed with tonic water and a little ice. A little variety can also be found by mixing No. 4 with a vermouth for a dry vermouth. The distillery was the first in Sweden to be dedicated to one man's passion and was born out of this conviction for gin and the dream of making his own gin. Sibling Triple Distilled Gin Miniature, 0.05L 42% History and production of the Sibling Triple Distilled Gin: The Sibling Triple Distilled Gin is produced by four siblings in the southern English town of Cheltenham. The age of the young distillers is particularly remarkable. When the Sibling Distillery first opened its doors in 2014, they were all younger than 23 years old. The four brothers and sisters, whose parents own a small microbrewery, are particularly proud of the unique still. It is the only crater head still in Europe made of glass and stainless steel. This was specially designed for the Sibling Distillery and enables permanent control of the distillation process. The basis for the Sibling Triple Distilled Gin is the specially produced, crystal-clear and absolutely pure vodka. The siblings have deliberately decided to distill the base distillate themselves rather than buying it externally in order to meet their own quality standards and to be able to monitor the entire production process. The complex steam infusion process is then used. The vodka is fed into the Carter Head still and heated evenly. The rising steam penetrates the botanicals in the still, which include juniper berries, orange and lemon peel, as well as blueberries and vanilla, and absorbs their taste and aroma. This creates a completely natural, fresh taste profile that is sure to delight.
