The La Hechicera Extra Anejo Rum 0.05L 40%, distilled from molasses, matures for 12-21 years in American white oak barrels. The name is derived from the Spanish word "enchantress". And this rum also presents itself magically in the glass, with a color reminiscent of maple syrup. On the nose, it reveals elegant aromas of orange peel, toffee, wood and vanilla. On the palate, it unfolds an impressive complexity with explosive aromas of tobacco, roasted coffee, dark chocolate, walnuts and apricot. The finish is surprisingly mild and long. La Hechicera is definitely a rum that should be enjoyed neat or slightly chilled and is ideal as a digestif or accompaniment to a medium-strength Colombian cigar.
