The El Dorado Rum 15 Years is considered by rum connoisseurs to be one of the best of its kind. It is lovingly hand distilled by Demerara Distillers in Guyana, South America. Guyana has around 750,000 inhabitants and is located on the Atlantic, bordering Brazil, Suriname and Venezuela. At the height of sugar production, there were between 200 and 300 distilleries in Guyana alone. However, falling world market prices forced everyone to give up and today the Demerara Distillers are the last remaining producers and with their El Dorado rums they offer an impressive testament to the high quality of rum from Guyana.

El Dorado Rum 15 years is a blend of rums from the famous Enmore and Diamond Coffey stills, the Port Mourant double wooden pot still and the Versailles single wooden pot still. The rums used are up to 25 years old! After blending, El Dorado Rum matures in old bourbon barrels for at least 15 years to harmonize its aromas. The result is an incredibly complex rum with aromas of tropical fruits, vanilla, caramel, oak tones and a very full body. Simply a great rum!!!
