It is the historic factory site of the EK Warren Featherbone Factory in Three Oaks, Michigan - a former corset factory. The EK Warren Featherbone Factory revolutionized the manufacture of corsets by using quills instead of whale bones. These were much softer and therefore more comfortable to wear.
