Bulldog Gin is a modern gin in impressive packaging that became a high-flyer in international bars immediately after its release. Bulldog London Dry Gin is a gin with unknown exotic notes that develop through the addition of the Chinese dragon eye fruit (a close relative of the lychee fruit!), poppy, lotus leaves, coriander, licorice and lavender.

Bulldog Gin and its creation

The history of Bulldog London Dry Gin is still relatively young. Nevertheless, it is very exciting. Bulldog London Dry Gin was first presented to the public in 2007. The company was founded shortly before by former investment banker Anshuman Vohra, who discovered his love of gin at a young age. Back then, his father always offered him a gin & tonic during conversations. Anshuman Vohra also used to travel a lot, so he was able to get to know a wide variety of tastes all over the world. He wanted to reflect these different taste impressions in the Bulldog London Dry Gin and, together with his master distiller, developed an unusual recipe with 12 different botanicals.

The production of Bulldog Gin

The Bulldog London Dry Gin is produced in an old English factory that has specialised in the production of gin for over 150 years. Only the best ingredients, selected according to strict quality criteria, are used in its production. The alcohol for the Bulldog London Dry Gin is made from the best east English wheat, which is distilled four times in copper stills after fermentation. The botanicals are then added to complete the Bulldog London Dry Gin. Of course, not all of the ingredients are known, but some ingredients stand out clearly alongside the classic juniper. These are the Chinese dragon eye fruit (longan fruit), lotus leaves and Turkish poppy seeds. The entire processing of the Bulldog London Dry Gin is vegan and kosher.

On the nose and palate, the Bulldog London Dry Gin shows clear notes of fresh herbs, citrus fruits and juniper. There are also other aromas that are rather unusual for the European palate and do not fit the image of a classic gin.
