The country, which lies between North and South America, offers the best conditions for growing sugar cane. A diverse ecosystem, volcanically enriched soil and the perfect climate for cultivation are the optimal basis for premium rum from Guatemala.

The maturation process is also special here. Unlike most other rums, Botran rum is not stored in ordinary cellars, but is brought to rock caves in the highlands. Located at high altitudes, the altitude and the cooler temperatures prevent the rum from evaporating, allowing it to adapt its taste profile to suit its individual needs. Botran rum has been produced according to this uncompromising tradition for over six decades. Over time, a true art of rum production has been acquired and passed on from generation to generation.
