Planteray Barbados Grande Reserve Rum 0.7L 40%
PLANTERAY marks the next step in the evolution of a rum line steeped in tradition – a new brand name, but maintaining the same premium quality that connoisseurs have come to appreciate under the PLANTATION name. The name change represents a broader awareness: greater respect, more openness, and a stronger commitment to diversity and modern responsibility.
The name PLANTERAY combines "PLANT," symbolizing sugarcane as the origin of all rum production, with "RAY," the sunbeam that represents growth, warmth, and energy. Together, they reflect the core of the brand: craftsmanship, naturalness, and a clear focus on the future.
Since 2024, all new rums have been bottled under the PLANTERAY name. In some countries, such as the USA and the UK, the complete transition has already taken place – a significant step into a new era, without abandoning the proven identity and tradition. Planteray Barbados Rum Grande Réserve embodies the rich rum-making tradition of Barbados, combining tropical aging with French finesse. Made from molasses, it is distilled for 3 to 4 days at the renowned West Indies Distillery using both double column and pot stills (Old Gregg). The rum then matures in the warm, tropical climate of Barbados before being transported to southwestern France, where it acquires its final elegance.
On the nose, it presents itself as complex and balanced: ripe tropical fruits, delicate vanilla, and subtle hints of white peach and coconut. On the palate, the Grande Réserve is pleasantly warm, full-bodied, and harmonious. Notes of candied tropical fruits, rich vanilla, fresh fruit nuances, and subtle tannins combine to create a perfectly balanced moment of pleasure.
A rum that masterfully blends authentic Caribbean tradition with French aging expertise – ideal for connoisseurs seeking depth, warmth, and elegance.

Botran Rum Blanca 3 years 0.05L 40% miniature Protected designation of origin Botran is so proud of its products that the brand even has a protected designation of origin. This means that a product is named after the region or geographical area in which it was produced. This is done to protect a special characteristic, ingredient, production process, etc. that is typical of the region. In the case of Botran aged rum, this is due to special human and natural factors that play a role, but above all to the special volcanic soil conditions, the traditional production process and the climatic conditions. Many people may be familiar with Ron Zacapa rum as a product from Guatemala, but there are many other products from this area. Another distiller is Botran, who definitely deserves a lot of attention. Anyone who wants to try out this premium rum has the opportunity to taste the 3-year-old rum made from freshly pressed sugar cane juice from the distillery here in miniature. You will receive a small 50ml bottle of Botran Blanca 3 years. What can you look forward to at the tasting? Don't be misled into thinking that you're not getting a particularly clear rum here, but rather a slightly yellowish rum, despite the name 'Blanca'. For a completely clear white rum, it is normally subjected to a special filtering process after distillation. In addition to the colorings still contained, many flavors are also filtered out, so Botran forgoes this process and puts quality before quantity. In terms of taste, the white rum flatters every palate with its creamy, soft texture. It shows a balanced balance between sweet and dry. Great notes of vanilla and dried fruit are evident. The finish also reveals spicy wood notes and a pleasant peppery note.

Botran Rum 5 years 0.05 L 40% miniature Premium product from Guatemala The country, which lies between North and South America, offers the best conditions for growing sugar cane. A diverse ecosystem, volcanically enriched soil and the perfect climate for cultivation are the optimal basis for premium rum from Guatemala. The maturation process is also special here. Unlike most other rums, Botran rum is not stored in ordinary cellars, but is brought to rock caves in the highlands. Located at high altitudes, the altitude and the cooler temperatures prevent the rum from evaporating, allowing it to adapt its taste profile to suit its individual needs. Botran rum has been produced according to this uncompromising tradition for over six decades. Over time, a true art of rum production has been acquired and passed on from generation to generation. Botran 5 years The young Botran rum matured for around five to six years in the Solera process typical for Botran. For its young age, it is considered one of the best in this age category. With 40% vol., the rum has a pleasant drinking strength so that it doesn't seem too strong. Convince yourself of the premium rum from Guatemala and try the rum in the perfect sample size of 0.05L.

Pusser's Rum British Navy Rum 0.05L 40% Pusser's British Navy Rum has a rich tradition and is a premium blend with a long history. Since the conquest of Jamaica by the English fleet in 1655, the daily "Tots" of Rum was common practice in the Royal Navy. This tradition, carried out by an official called a "Purser" (colloquially "PUSSER"), served to provide moral support to sailors and was part of English seafaring tradition until 1970. However, with the advancement of technology and the increased risks associated with it, state-mandated drunkenness was curbed. Previously reserved exclusively for the Royal Navy, Pusser's Rum is now also available to landlubbers. Pusser's Rum British Navy Rum 0.05L 40% is made from a blend of six individual rums produced on various Caribbean islands, including the British Virgin Islands, Trinidad and Guyana. It impresses with its sweet bouquet and notes of caramel and spices.

Pusser's Rum Black Label Gunpowder Proof 0.05L 54.5% Pussers Rum has a long tradition that is closely linked to British naval service. In the past, marines on board the Royal Navy received a rum ration every day at 12 noon, called "tot", consisting of 70 ml of rum with 54.5% alcohol by volume. The tradition ended in 1970 due to health concerns. Nine years later, Pussers Rum Ltd. was founded to revive the historic rum blend. Since then, the company has produced authentic Navy Rum with various alcohol strengths under the name Pusser's Rum. The label design of the standard range was recently revised, with the classic Pussers British Navy Rum with 40% alcohol by volume now appearing in navy blue. The Navy Strength Rum with 54.5% ABV is now marketed as Pussers Black Label Gunpowder Proof with a black and gold label to avoid confusion. The Pussers Black Label Gunpowder Proof owes its name to an interesting story: Sailors of the Royal Navy checked the alcohol content of their rum ration by mixing it with gunpowder and setting it on fire. Only when the mixture burned did the rum have the prescribed alcohol strength of 54.5% ABV. This Pusser's Rum Black Label Gunpowder Proof 0.05L 54.5% has a dark, amber-like color and exudes a rich, pleasantly sweet bouquet with intense aromas of vanilla, caramel, candied orange peel, toffee and tropical fruits. It is strong and full-bodied on the palate, with a variety of flavors such as vanilla, caramel candies, spices, bananas, mangos and apricots. The long finish reveals additional aromas of oak spice, tobacco and leather. The Pussers Black Label Gunpowder Proof is ideal for various mixed drinks and cocktails, especially the famous Painkiller, thanks to its intensity and variety of aromas.

Botran Rum Anejo 8 years 0.05L 40% miniature Industrias Licoreras de Guatemala This is an amalgamation of various distilleries, bottlers and other companies, to which Botran Rum also belongs. A well-known name to connoisseurs might be Zacapa Rum, which also comes from this amalgamation. Rum made from honey Most rum varieties are made from molasses, a by-product of sugar cane cultivation. Then there is the route via sugar cane juice. At Botran they have opted for a 'middle path', so to speak. Here they make rum from what is known as sugar cane honey or syrup. To make the syrup, sugar cane juice is heated very gently and the liquid is extracted, resulting in a concentrated, sweet syrup. Fermentation and distillation then take place as usual. Another highlight is the storage of the premium rum. This takes place in the highlands, 2,300 meters above sea level, using the Solera method in white oak barrels. Anejo 8 years There is also a miniature version of the Anejo 8 years of 0.05l. And it's not just its great light amber color that makes it stand out. Due to the low level of evaporation, which is what storage in the highlands aims to achieve, the 8-year-old rum produces a particularly fine aroma. On the nose, there is a pleasant aroma of fresh sugar cane and well-balanced spice notes. Vanilla and honey, as well as smoky notes are also recognizable. On the palate, the particularly soft rum shows itself in all its glory. A pleasant sweetness, beautiful spice notes and fine vanilla notes round off the taste.

Gold of Mauritius Rum Dark Solera 5 0.05L 40%Gold of Mauritius Dark Rum Solera 5 is primarily made from molasses derived from locally grown sugarcane. The subsequent aging process follows the traditional Solera method. In this method, the barrels are stacked in a pyramid shape. First, the fresh distillate is poured into the top barrel. After a year of aging, some of the rum is transferred to the barrels below, while the top barrel is refilled with fresh rum. This process is repeated until the distillate in the bottom tier of barrels reaches its optimal aging profile. This creates a sophisticated blend of rums of varying ages, harmoniously combining the youthful character with the mature notes of the older rums. ``` The Gold of Mauritius Dark Rum Solera 5 0.05L 40% comes from the fifth tier of this Solera system and contains distillates aged for up to five years – an impressive length of time, especially under the hot, tropical conditions of the island. This rum also receives a final six- to eight-month finish in port casks, which further intensifies its depth and complexity. Visually, the Gold of Mauritius Dark Rum Solera 5 impresses with a rich, mahogany-red color. Its bouquet is powerful and multifaceted, characterized by a delightful combination of sweetness and fruitiness. Aromas of vanilla, caramel, and roasted nuts mingle with exotic notes of candied oranges, apricots, and tropical fruits. On the palate, the rum is velvety and smooth, almost syrupy. The flavor nuances range from molasses, vanilla ice cream, and milk chocolate to baked bananas and toasted almonds. Austrian Empire Navy Rum Reserva 1863 Miniature, 0.05L 40% History and production of Austrian Empire Navy Rum Reserva 1863 Barbados is considered the cradle of rum. The tropical climate and fertile soil make the Caribbean island ideal for growing sugar cane. The actual sugar production also produces molasses, a thick, brown mass that still contains a lot of sugar and is the basic ingredient for rum distillation. English merchants discovered early on that, in addition to growing sugar cane, rum production in Barbados is a real gold mine and so many smaller distilleries were built on the island. The distillation of molasses rum is still firmly established in Barbados and fills Barbadians with great pride. The rums are mainly distilled in small pot stills and have a strong taste, with notes of molasses and caramel predominating. The name Austrian Empire Navy Rum Reserva 1863 goes back to the Albert Michler liqueur, rum and spirit factory, which was founded in 1863 in Buchsdorf, Austria-Silesia. In addition to the world-famous Buchsdorfer Magenbitter, numerous overseas rums were also imported and sold. However, with the end of the Second World War, the spirits factory had to be closed. Today, Albert Michler Distillery Int. Ltd is based in Bristol in the south of England. The Austrian Empire Navy Rum Reserva 1863 impressively revives Albert Michler's legacy and history. The Austrian Empire Navy Rum Reserva 1863 is an assemblage of the finest Barbados rums that were allowed to mature in barrels made of American and French oak. It is a typical representative of Barbados rums and deserves to be tasted. Taste of the Austrian Empire Navy Rum Reserva 1863 The Austrian Empire Navy Rum Reserva 1863 presents itself as is typical for a Barbados rum. Lots of molasses, caramel and honey on the nose, with light hints of coconut and bananas. The taste is wonderfully soft and round with notes of tropical fruits, chocolate and vanilla. The strong oak spice is wonderfully integrated and provides additional complexity. By using different oak barrels, the sweet aromas such as vanilla, caramel and toffee are combined and harmoniously brought together with the tart, dry impressions of dark chocolate and coffee. The Austrian Empire Navy Rum Reserva 1863 ensures a velvety, viscous mouthfeel and a long-lasting finish. Honey, oak and tobacco are the predominant aromas in the finish. With the Austrian Empire Navy Rum Reserva 1863, Albert Michler Distillery Int. Ltd. has created an excellent Barbados rum that combines the typical aromas of the Caribbean island and is impressively convincing. Be sure to try the Austrian Empire Navy Rum Reserva 1863 in the Royal Bermuda Yacht Club cocktail! You will be amazed. Now in a practical sample bottle.

La Hechicera Extra Anejo Rum 0.05L 40% In Germany, rum is often associated exclusively with the Caribbean. But this perspective is more the result of the marketing of large corporations, because the largest producer of sugar cane spirits in the world is South America. From Mexico to Patagonia, rum and related products are the preferred spirit, which means that there are a variety of different rum styles on the South American continent. Colombian rum is particularly popular with connoisseurs. Colombian rum is often described as medium-heavy in body and fruity-chocolatey in taste. A well-known example is Dictador Rum, and the XO variants of this first-class rum in particular are highly praised by experts and connoisseurs. For several years, however, another Colombian rum has been fighting for the top position - La Hechicera Rum. La Hechicera Rum is produced in a part of Colombia that borders the Caribbean Sea and is exposed to similar climatic conditions as the famous Caribbean rums. The La Hechicera Extra Anejo Rum 0.05L 40%, distilled from molasses, matures for 12-21 years in American white oak barrels. The name is derived from the Spanish word "enchantress". And this rum also presents itself magically in the glass, with a color reminiscent of maple syrup. On the nose, it reveals elegant aromas of orange peel, toffee, wood and vanilla. On the palate, it unfolds an impressive complexity with explosive aromas of tobacco, roasted coffee, dark chocolate, walnuts and apricot. The finish is surprisingly mild and long. La Hechicera is definitely a rum that should be enjoyed neat or slightly chilled and is ideal as a digestif or accompaniment to a medium-strength Colombian cigar.
