Elg Gin No. 4 Miniature 0.05L 46.5% Like ELG No. 0 or No.1, ELG No. 4 is based on gin made from juniper berries, coriander seeds and carrots. Like the distillate used to make the base gin, which contains carrots from the Danish nursery Gärtnerei Toftelund, ELG No. 4 also contains an extract of black carrots. This is what gives it its special purple color. To make the black carrot extract, the carrots are placed in 50% alcohol immediately after delivery, which then gradually absorbs the carrots' purple pigments. As water is also extracted from the carrots during this process, the alcohol content is also reduced. After a week, the carrots are sieved and the purple extract is obtained. This now has an alcohol content of 38% and a wealth of aromas. ELG No. No. 4 is of course best enjoyed with tonic water and a little ice. Elg Gin No. 0 Miniature 0.05L 47.2% Stone Grange Distillery A fairly young distillery, founded in 2009 in Fredensborg on Lake Esrom, where the company's own lands extend to the lake. Over the years, the company has tried many things, producing brandy as well as aquavit and absinthe. Today, however, the focus is on the production of gin. Master distiller Henrik Elsner is responsible for production at the distillery. When the decision was made to produce gin, it was decided to make it from just three botanicals in order to gain a foothold in the broad gin market and to impress with a very special juniper brandy. The company also wanted to produce a gin in which none of the botanicals stood out so much, but rather one that was characterized by a particularly good balance. To date, there are six different gins, all based on ELG No. 0. Compound Gin ELG Gins are so-called compound gins. This means that each botanical is distilled separately before it is mixed with the base alcohol made from wheat. However, the three botanicals are also treated differently in order to obtain 100% of the best taste from each individual component. Coriander seeds, for example, contain many 'disturbing' taste components that are lost during distillation.

Gordon's Dry Gin Miniature 0.05L 37.5% The 250-year-old distillery still produces excellent gin today. With great attention to detail and the finest ingredients, Alexander Gordon began creating a gin with a very high juniper content in his London distillery in the Southwark district in 1769. The district itself was also an important location for Gordon, as it was known for its excellent, clean water, which was needed as a base for the alcohol. A good twenty years after the company was founded, the company moved to Goswell Road in Clerkenwell. Smirnoff Vodka Red Label Miniature 0.05L 37.5% Smirnoff History Behind a vodka almost everyone assumes a company from Russia. But for a vodka to be a true globetrotter is rather unusual. Admittedly, the company does have a Russian background, because the history of the most famous vodka manufacturer goes back to the Russian Pyotr Arsenievich Smirnov, who first offered his bread liquor in 1860. In those years, business was good until the October Revolution brought an abrupt end to this company too. It was his son Vladimir Smirnov who continued the business, first from Istanbul, then from what is now Ukraine. This is how the western spelling Smirnoff that we know came to be. The company made a short stopover in the USA before becoming part of the large Diageo group based in London. Today, Smirnoff Vodka is sold in up to 130 countries, and there are also a wide variety of production sites. Production takes place in India and Ireland, among other places, and in Italy for the German market. Taste In terms of taste, Smirnoff Vodka Red Label has nothing unusual to offer. Smirnoff Vodka is one of the purest vodkas on the market. The Botanist Islay Dry Gin Miniature 0.05L 46% The Bruichladdich Distillery Co. Ltd. Scotland's westernmost distillery is known among connoisseurs above all for its outstanding whisky. The distillery was founded in 1881 by the brothers John Gourlay and Robert William Harvey. It is located not far from Loch Indaal, on the very pristine island of Islay. The distillery has been part of the Remy Cointreau Group since 2012.But now they have taken another path to produce an excellent gin. This is produced carefully and only in small batches. Botanist The base of this gin also consists of the usual botanicals for a gin such as juniper, coriander seeds or cinnamon bark. However, it is only after the addition of 22 wild botanicals that come from the Islay island and have their own character that it becomes a special Isaly Gin. The gentle processing in the pot still method allows the maximum aroma to be extracted from the fine botanicals. On the nose, there is a slight sweetness with notes of apple mint. The juniper is also clearly in the foreground here. This combination makes the Botanist Gin seem very summery. The taste is very special, very clear on the palate and with great aromas. Journeyman Last Feather Rye Whiskey Miniature 0.05L 45% The story behind the Journeyman Distillery When the founder of the Journeyman Distillery considered opening a distillery, he realized that he had to do an apprenticeship first. He lived in Scotland for a few years and learned the ins and outs of a whisky distillery. He knew that making whisky was something he enjoyed and that he wanted to get into the business. In 2010, he began an apprenticeship at Koval Distillery in Chicago. They are known for first-class, organic-certified and even kosher spirits in the Midwest. There he developed his own recipes and during this time he perfected the one that would later become THE recipe for 'Last Feather Rye'. The distillery is located in an old building of a former corset and whip factory in Three Oaks, Michigan. The building dates back to the 1800s and the above-mentioned products were manufactured there until the 19th century, when it was finally able to accommodate the Journeyman Distillery after extensive renovation work. The distillery gets the ingredients for the whiskey mainly from local producers, and the special blend of rye and wheat as well as a small amount of barley to round off the taste come from farmers in the Midwest. Last Feather Rye The Last Feather Rye whiskey is the company's flagship product. It is one of the few rye whiskeys that is also very wheat-heavy. This offers a pleasant spiciness from the rye and a slight sweetness from the wheat. After distillation, Journeyman Last Feather Rye Whisky is bottled in new barrels made of American white oak. The taste is of ripe banana mixed with spices and spicy pepper. In order to stand out from the usual mass products, many small and medium-sized companies have formed across the country to compete with the large corporations. They want to stand out from the crowd through loving handcraft, sustainability and special flavors. With the opening of the Journeyman Distillery in 2011, these founders are also trying to carve out a special place for themselves in the industry. If you know the translation of the company name, you can already guess that there is a lot of dedication to craftsmanship here. Journeyman means 'journeyman'. This very young distillery can be found in Three Oaks in the state of Michigan. Organic products are also used here, which means that the ingredients used all come from the surrounding region and corn, wheat, barley and rye are grown organically by local farmers. The organic seal that they receive as a result is only valid in America, however. The Journeyman Distillery mainly concentrates on producing whiskeys and gin, but there are also other limited specialties. Journeyman Bilberry Black Hearts Gin Miniature 0.05L 45% Journeyman Distillery History The history of the distillery actually begins in the Midwest of the USA. Having grown up there, Bill Welter moved to Scotland and discovered his love for single malt Scotch whisky. There he met Bill Lark, who owns the Tasmanian Lark Distillery, and gained experience that he still uses today in his Journeyman Distillery. In the summer of 2010, Bill Welter interned at the Koval Distillery in Chicago and learned how to make rye whisky there. Journeyman is pleased to be able to offer people hand-crafted spirits. All of the ingredients needed to make the whisky come from the Midwest region. The water is untreated and unfiltered and comes from the groundwater of Three Oaks. The Journeyman Distillery is housed in a historic building. It is located in an old factory in the town of Three Oaks (Michigan), where corsets were made until the late 19th century. After extensive renovation work, this now serves as the home of the whiskey distillery. Journeyman Bilberry Black Hearts Gin This gin is named after the well-known fruit bilberry and is a relative of the blueberry or huckleyberry (American blueberry). The whiskey has the additional name 'Black Heart' because the fruit was nicknamed "Black Heart" in the 19th century due to its dark color. The company Williams & Humbert, based in Spain, is responsible for this quality rum. It has existed since the 1970s and originally specialized in sherry and brandy. Harahorn Gin Miniature 0.05L 46% History Harahorn Gin is named after a Norwegian mountain in Hemsedal, where the wonderful juniper berries are harvested, and after a Norwegian legendary figure that no one has seen to this day. Known in North America as a 'jackalope', and called 'Harahorn' in Norway, it refers to a horned hare. After a production monopoly for alcohol existed in the Nordic countries, which was lifted for Norway in 2005, the former Puntervold / Agder Brenneri (now Det Norske Brenneri) was able to operate its production and barrel storage facilities in Grimstad in the south of Norway. They mainly produced apple wine and the caraway schnapps that is popular in the Scandinavian countries. They were the first private distillery after 80 years of state monopoly. Harahorn Gin The long summer days and the dark, cold winter nights create the perfect climatic conditions for the berries and herbs used in Harahorn Gin. Alcohol from potatoes forms the basis here. In addition, only selected, regional botanicals are used, with which the producers have experimented for a long time.
