Product information "Willett Pot Still Reserve Bourbon Whiskey, 0,7 L, 47%"

Willett Pot Still Reserve Bourbon Whiskey 0.7L 47%

Willett Pot Still Reserve Bourbon Whiskey is an elegant bottling from one of the great distilleries in the USA that did not make it into modern times. The Willett distillery closed in 1984. This pot still bourbon whiskey, which comes from old stocks, was bottled in an exclusive decanter and offers an elegant nose and is extremely balanced. On the palate, Willett Pot Still Reserve Bourbon Whiskey has notes of vanilla, coconut, creme brulee, cedar wood chips, cinnamon and delicate mint tones with a hint of fennel. Outstanding!

Like the Buffalo Trace Distillery, the Barton Brands Distillery belongs to the Sazerac Company, known for its 6-year-old rye whiskey sold under its own label. There are a number of bourbon whiskey distilleries in and around Bardstown, including Heaven Hill, Jim Beam and Makers Mark. Bardstown is also the venue for the annual Kentucky Bourbon Festival, an event with great appeal for bourbon whiskey lovers all over the world. In 2012, 1792 Ridgemont Reserve is the official bourbon of the multi-day event. In 1792, Kentucky became a state of the USA 1792 Ridgemont Reserve Barrel Select is a bourbon whiskey that has been aged for 8 years in new, freshly charred white oak barrels and is bottled at 93.7 proof or 46.85% ABV. and its large letters refer to the year 1792, the year when Kentucky became the 15th state of the USA. Priced in the upper price segment for bourbon whiskey, this fine and wonderfully complex small batch whiskey is in direct competition with well-known brands such as Woodford Reserve or Knob Creek. It has only been called 1792 Ridgemont Reserve since 2004, after the Brown Forman Corporation, owner of brands such as Jack Daniels and Woodford Reserve, successfully sued against the original name "Ridgewood Reserve 1792" and the Barton Brands Distillery was forced to change the name. 1792 Small Batch Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey in taste Colored in an inviting, dark amber tone, the nose immediately reveals clear tones of spicy rye and ripe fruit such as bananas, orange peel and apples, paired with caramel. Rye tones dominate the aroma and are supported by oak notes. Rye repeats on the palate, with notes of pepper, mint, liquorice, cinnamon bark and a good portion of wood tones. Once the first burst of oak has evaporated, nuances of raisins, dried apricots and apples can be perceived. The aftertaste is extremely dry and lacks the well-known bourbon sweetness, but offers a medium-long finish with rye and oak.

Willett Family Estate Rye Whiskey 6 Jahre, 0,7L, 58,7%
Willett Family Estate Rye Whiskey 6 Jahre, 0,7L, 58,7%
Willett Family Estate Rye Whiskey 6 years, 0.7L, 58.7% Willett - A company with a long history For older Rye Whiskey bottlings from the Willett Distillery, lovers and collectors are prepared to pay up to four-figure sums. A real cult has developed around these very rare bottlings and the Willett distillery enjoys an excellent reputation among connoisseurs. However, you don't necessarily have to spend a large part of your monthly earnings on a bottle of Willett Rye, because fortunately there are also affordable and very tasty younger bottlings, such as this Willett Family Estate Rye Whiskey 6 years. The original Willett distillery was founded in 1936, shortly after the end of American Prohibition. In the decades that followed, business was good and the distillery was able to establish itself firmly in the Bardstown, Kentucky region. In the 1970s, however, the distillery fell into crisis due to a strong stagnation in demand for bourbon whiskey and, to the regret of many connoisseurs, finally had to cease operations in the 1980s. The Norwegian entrepreneur Even Kulsveen, husband of Martha Willet, however, had the ambition to continue running the Willett distillery with his company Kentucky Bourbon Distillers and bought the Willett Distillery from the remaining family members. In 2012 the time had finally come and the distillery was put back into operation and the production of bourbon whiskey and rye whiskey began. The Willett Family Estate Rye Whiskey 6 years This 6-year-old Willett Rye was distilled by Kulsveen's company in Indiana and then matured for six years in barrels made of American white oak in the Willett distillery. The mash bill consisted of 95% rye and 5% barley malt. The already very full-bodied rye whiskey impresses on the nose with a beautiful sweetness and aromas of spices and cocoa. On the palate there is a whole potpourri of aromas reminiscent of vanilla, dried fruit, oak and black tea. The aftertaste is of medium length and impresses above all with its mild and balanced character. The Willett Family Estate Rye Whiskey 6 years is not chill-filtered and bottled at cask strength with a solid 58.7% vol.

Baker's Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey 7 Jahre, 0,7L 53,5 %
Baker's Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey 7 Jahre, 0,7L 53,5 %
Baker's Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey 7 years, 0.7L 53.5% History and production of Baker's Bourbon 7 years: The Jim Beam distillery is undoubtedly one of the most famous and popular whiskey distilleries in the world. The Jim Beam White Label in particular, with its soft, gentle taste, represents the typical taste profile of a Kentucky Straight Bourbon like no other whiskey. The Jim Beam distillery was founded by Jakob Böhm, who was of German descent. The son of German emigrants moved from Pennsylvania to Maryland at the age of 18 to grow grain. As early as 1788, he produced his first whiskey from surplus grain. A few years later, he moved to Kentucky and operated a water-powered mill there. As payment for grinding grain, Böhm received grain from the farmers, which he used to produce whiskey. Jakob Böhm changed his name to Jacob Beam and in 1795 sold his first whiskey barrel under the name Old Jake Beam. In 1820, Jacob Beam handed over management of his distillery to his son David Beam. Today, the distillery is still in the hands of the Beam family. The Jim Beam distillery recently released four hand-selected, top-class Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskeys in the Small Batch Bourbon Collection. Particularly noteworthy is the Baker's Bourbon 7 Years, which goes back to a recipe from the former master distiller Baker Beam, Jim Beam's great-nephew. In addition to the obligatory corn content, 13% rye is added to the grain mash, which ensures a pleasantly spicy start. Storage for at least 7 years in fresh barrels made of American white oak is extremely rare for a bourbon and results in a full-bodied, complex taste. Only the best barrels from the distillery are selected for the Baker's Bourbon 7 years. This Kentucky Straight Bourbon is bottled in so-called small batches with a strong 53.3% alcohol by volume and sealed with black wax. Taste of the Baker's Bourbon 7 years: The Baker's Bourbon 7 years has a very dark color that is reminiscent of fine mahogany wood. On the nose, this whiskey is extremely complex and voluminous. Sweet notes such as vanilla, caramel and honey are accompanied by the smell of fresh mint and spicy oak. The rye content provides pleasant roasted aromas and a certain pepperiness. In the mouth, the Baker's Bourbon 7 years is powerful and complex. The typical bourbon notes are clearly evident, but are complemented by spicy hints of nuts, rye bread and green pepper. The high alcohol content also provides a lot of character. By adding a small amount of water, clear fruit and herbal notes also develop. The Baker's Bourbon 7 years is a whiskey close to perfection. Pure, it is extremely complex and harmonious. Sweet, spicy and fruity notes are wonderfully balanced and thus create a clear added value compared to conventional bourbons. Due to its powerful, spicy start, the Baker's Bourbon 7 years is also particularly suitable for classic cocktails such as the Old Fashioned.
