Almost 200 years of Scottish tradition

In 1832 the so-called "Excise Act" was passed in Great Britain. This made whisky production much easier for companies and William Teacher decided to bring his own blended whisky onto the market. At first he blended his whiskies in a grocery store that he ran with his wife.

Business went well and Teacher was quickly able to open his own "dram shop". It was finally in 1863 that he perfected the recipe and brought Teacher's Highland Cream Whisky onto the market. After their father's death, his two sons William Jr. and Adam Teacher took over the business and in 1876 built the company's headquarters as planned by their father. This building was used by the company until 1991!

Single Malt Whisky from Ardmore and Glendronach

In order to ensure a supply of high-quality single malt whisky, Teacher's opened the Ardmore distillery in 1899. The smoky style of Ardmore whisky guarantees the strong, full-bodied taste of Teacher's Blend. Due to the high demand, the Glendronach distillery was also acquired in 1957. With this additional distillery, sales increased enormously and in 1987 the magical mark of one million cases of whisky was exceeded for the first time - in Great Britain alone!

A special Scotch

Teacher's Highland Cream is not a whisky like any other. With a malt whisky share of 45%, Highland Cream has one of the largest shares of malt whiskies in the world of blended whiskies. As this share is largely covered by Ardmore, the Scotch whisky has a distinctive smoky note. This is Teacher's trademark and has made it world famous.

The golden, slightly amber-colored whisky has a robust maltiness and fruity notes of apples, pears and a light honey sweetness on the nose, which is accompanied by smoky notes. The combination of smoky aromas and the yet gentle taste on the palate delights people around the world. The aftertaste is round and warming and the pleasant taste lingers in the mouth for a long time. A blended Scotch whisky of the highest quality!

Clan MacGregor Blended Scotch Whisky 1.0L 40% The history of Clan MacGregor Blended Scotch Whisky Clan MacGregor is a Scottish blended whisky produced by William Grant & Sons, the owner of the Glenfiddich distillery. While Glenfiddich whisky is a household name for every fan of malt whisky, William Grant & Sons is also trying to establish itself successfully in the highly competitive blended whisky market with Clan MacGregor. This has so far been very successful with Clan MacGregor Blended Scotch Whisky, which was one of the most successful new launches in recent years. The name of this blended whisky goes back to the infamous MacGregor Clan. This clan is said to be directly descended from Kenneth MacAlpin, the first King of the Scots, and is considered one of the bravest clans in Scottish history. The MacGregors became famous in 1603, when a cattle raid led to a battle with the rival Colquhoun clan. According to tradition, 200 Colquhouns and only two MacGregors were killed. As a result, the MacGregors were declared outlaws by King James VI and a reward was offered for every dead MacGregor. This law was not repealed by Parliament until 1774. The production of Clan MacGregor Blended Scotch Whisky Clan MacGregor Scotch Whisky is a fine Scottish blended Scotch whisky made from a total of 15 different whiskies matured in oak barrels. As is usual with blended whisky, both malt whiskies and grain whiskies were used for this bottling. The grain whiskies give the Clan MacGregor Blended Scotch Whisky a certain lightness and a pleasant spiciness, while the proportion of malt whisky ensures a pleasant sweetness and full-bodiedness. The taste of the Clan MacGregor Blended Scotch Whisky Straw-gold in color, the Clan McGregor Blended Scotch Whisky shows a characteristic sweetness, vanilla, malt and a hint of smoke on the nose. Then on the palate a subtle fruitiness, malt and oak notes. Overall very soft and velvety and with a long and clear aftertaste. A high-quality and affordable blended whisky!

Bells Original Scotch Whisky, 1 L, 40%
Bells Original Scotch Whisky, 1 L, 40%
Bells Original Scotch Whisky, 1 L, 40% The history of Bells Whisky The history of Bells Whisky begins in 1840. At that time, Arthur Bell, the founder of Arthur Bell & Sons, joined the spirits and wine business of his friend Thomas Sandeman in Perth. Thomas Sandeman was related to the well-known port wine dynasty Sandeman and accordingly had good contacts in the industry. After eleven successful years at Sandeman's side, Bell then went into business for himself and expanded quickly. After another decade, Bell was finally the first whisky dealer to open a shop in London. Arthur Bell quickly established himself there and established a global distribution network. In addition to trading, Arthur Bell also specifically promoted the product whisky. For example, he was the first whisky dealer to campaign for binding quality standards and the introduction of standardized bottle sizes. However, it was his sons who brought the first whisky with the name "Bell's Whisky" onto the market at the beginning of the 20th century. Arthur Bell's sons were also responsible for taking over several whisky distilleries and thus laid the foundation for the company Arthur Bell & Sons, which is still successful today. Bell's Original Scotch Whisky Bell's Original Scotch Whisky is one of the most successful standard blends in the world. Bell's Original Scotch Whisky probably contains a fairly high proportion of malt whiskies from the company's own distilleries Pittyvaich, Inchgower, Dufftown and Blair Athol. Bell's Original Scotch Whisky became particularly well-known through intensive TV marketing and the lavishly designed Bell's Decanters. These bell-shaped ceramic decanters are issued on special occasions, e.g. the Queen's jubilee, and are extremely popular with collectors. They have the advantage of not only being very light, but also shatterproof. A shatterproof bottle is a great advantage, especially for standard blends such as Bells Original Scotch Whisky, which you don't always drink in fancy hotel bars. The taste of Bells Original Scotch Whisky On the nose, Bells Original Scotch Whisky has gently malty aromas and a light peppery note. The palate of Bells Original Scotch Whisky is characterized by heather notes and a little caramel. The aftertaste of Bells Original Scotch Whisky is medium-length and relatively spicy. Bells Original Scotch Whisky is and remains a classic and loses none of its charm!

Catto's Blended Scotch Whisky 0.7L 40% A pioneer Whisky has always played an important role in Scotland. Many distilleries have existed for several hundred years, but only a few have had someone on the team who was revolutionary for the whisky industry. The Catto distillery in the Highlands has such a person. James Catto was the first to devote himself to the art of blending. In 1861 he brought the first product in this new direction onto the market, Catto's Rare Old Scottish Highland Scotch. Due to the location right on the harbor in his hometown of Aberdeen, it didn't take long for the blends to make it across international borders. Thanks to his acquaintance with the founders of the well-known P&O and Withe Star, Catto's whisky became number one on the very glamorous cruise ships of the time. Catto's Blended Scotch Whisky For the Rare Old Scottish Blended Scotch Whisky, only unpeated Highland and Speyside malts are used. These are mixed with Lowland Grain to create a whisky with a high malt content. A beautiful warm golden tone appears in the glass. The aroma of the whisky lies between fresh citrus fruits and warm honey. The taste and finish show spicy, rounded sweet notes.
