Abasolo El Whisky de Mexico 0,7L 43%
Abasolo El Whisky de Mexico 0,7L 43%

Abasolo El Whisky de Mexico 0.7L 43% El Whisky De Mexico A whisky from Mexico is a rarity in the already broad whisky market, but should not be underestimated. The Destilería Abasolo is located on a property that was originally used to grow and dry corn. In order to keep the tradition of the property and the centuries-old Mexican tradition of growing corn alive, a corn whisky was created. For more than 200 years, a special type of corn, 'Cacahuazintle corn', has been grown by local farmers in Mexico and the knowledge about it has been passed down from generation to generation. Cacahuazintale corn is a white corn and has an extraordinary taste. The production of the whisky also draws on a tradition that is thousands of years old, the so-called 'nixtamalization', which has always been considered a classic preparation for corn and serves to prevent malnutrition. For this, alkaline substances (e.g. slaked lime or wood ash) are dissolved in water, the washed corn kernels are boiled in it and cooked for three to four hours. The whole thing is then taken off the heat and left to swell overnight. The taste of Abasolo whisky is very different from classic European whisky varieties. El Whisky de Mexico has notes of roasted corn, honey and vanilla as well as black tea and a hint of leather.

Abducted Malt Whisky 0,7L 40%
Abducted Malt Whisky 0,7L 40%

Abducted Malt Whisky 0.7L 40% The label on the whisky bottle alone suggests that this is a sensational whisky. The label shows a torn newspaper cutting with the headline: 'Abducted Malt Whisky'. In German this means something like 'Kidnapped Malt Whisky'. It's easy to imagine that this is worth a headline. This headline can be explained as follows: The malt whisky is produced in Scotland. After distillation it is 'abducted' to Jerez in Spain to mature in a selection of special sherry casks. You can choose from Amontillado, Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez casks. Here a good third of the total whisky is divided into each type of cask, then it is matured for seven years. The maturation period is carried out using the typical Solera method. Flavours A special whisky with an exceptional character. It is very creamy and solid on the palate. The aromas are spicy to piquant, but all together they still make an elegant, well-rounded whisky. The finish is also a soft, round whisky with a medium-long finish. The notes of ripe berries and the influence of the sherry casks are evident in the form of a pleasant sweetness.

Aberfeldy 12 Jahre Single Malt Scotch Whisky 1L 40%

Aberfeldy 12 year old Single Malt Scotch Whisky 1.0 L, 40%: History and production of the Aberfeldy 12 year old: The Aberfeldy distillery was founded in 1896 by the two brothers John and Tommy Dewar in the town of the same name. For a long time, Aberfeldy was only known for the famous Dewar's Blended Whisky, which was particularly popular in the USA. The focus on single malt whisky only came later. The extensive portfolio now includes bottlings from 12 to 28 years and inspires countless whisky fans all over the world. This is mainly because the single malt whiskies from Aberfeldy are all extremely soft and mild, but at the same time also provide an intense taste experience. This makes them ideal not only as an entry-level whisky but also for experienced connoisseurs and fans of harmonious Highland malts. The Aberfeldy 12 years is the inexpensive introduction to the world of Aberfeldy. The long storage in hand-made oak barrels creates a wonderfully light, elegant whisky that gently caresses the taste buds with its mature barrel aromas and delicate fruitiness. The Aberfeldy 12 years is bottled with 40% alcohol by volume and a liter content in the typical, distinctly bulbous bottle. The unique shape, together with the gold and black gift box, is guaranteed to be an eye-catcher in every home bar. Tasting the Aberfeldy 12 years: The Aberfeldy 12 years has a deep dark color reminiscent of amber, in keeping with its age. On the nose, it initially presents itself as typical for a Highland malt. Subtle, well-integrated fruit notes of apples, pears, lemons and pineapple are supported by a pleasant sweetness composed of aromas of vanilla, malted barley and honey wafers. Overall, very delicate and natural, the Aberfeldy 12 years impresses with its incomparable harmony without rough edges. The velvety mildness and softness are also noticeable on the tongue. Very oily and viscous, the Aberfeldy 12 years caresses the taste buds and leaves behind rich notes of raisins, fruit bread, baked apples and candied oranges. Vanilla and caramel candies are unmistakable. From the middle third, a subtle spiciness is added, which, in addition to cinnamon and dark chocolate, has well-dosed hints of oak. The finish is medium-long and again characterized by honey, caramel and oak. It is precisely this combination of mouth-filling sweetness, crisp fruitiness and light spiciness that makes the Aberfeldy 12 years so popular and at the same time dangerously drinkable.

Aberlour Single Malt Whisky Casg Annamh Batch 4 Non Chill Filtered 1,0L 48%

Aberlour Single Malt Whisky Casg Annamh Batch 4 Non Chill Filtered 1.0L 48% Aberlour The name Aberlour means 'mouth of the Lour' because it was built at the foot of the Lour. The distillery's whiskies are known for their sweet rather than smoky aromas. They mature mainly in sherry or wine casks, which contribute to the fruity-sweet aromas. In 1879, a good 50 years after it was founded, the distillery burned down. It was James Fleming who rebuilt the distillery and kept the most modern distillery of the time alive. Shortly before the turn of the century, in 1898, another fire destroyed most of the Abalour buildings and supplies. Here too, they did not let this get them down and quickly rebuilt the distillery. Aberlour Casg Annamh The name 'Casg Annamh' means 'rare barrel' in Gaelic and probably refers to the storage in the rare Oloroso sherry casks. In addition to this type of cask, the blend also consists of whisky from two different American white oak casks. The use of these two types creates a fine, fruity whisky for which Aberlour is also known. When tasting, the first aromas to emerge on the nose are of blood orange, sweet cherries, fresh ginger and spices. On the palate, it is full-bodied with other fruity notes. Ripe peaches, apple pie with cinnamon and other spices such as cloves and anise. In the finish, the Aberklour Casg Annamh can further develop the impression it leaves behind. It is long-lasting and full-bodied, spices and notes of the barrel types leave a great taste.

A rare cask If you translate Casg Annamh from Gaelic into German, this means 'rare cask', which is quite fitting, because only a limited number of casks are available from Batch 5. The selected casks are finished in Oloroso sherry casks, which wonderfully complement the taste of the Aberlour distillery. In terms of taste, you can look forward to a rich, intense whisky that is bursting with fruity overtones. Spice notes such as anise, ginger or cinnamon round off the taste experience.

Adnams Triple Malt Whisky Non Chill Filtered
Adnams Triple Malt Whisky Non Chill Filtered, 0,7L 47%

Adnams Triple Malt Whisky Non Chill Filtered For the environment: The history of the Adnams brewery goes back over 140 years. Adnams became known primarily for its large selection of beers and regional distribution within England. The Adnams brewery focuses primarily on sustainability during production. It is committed to a clean environment in numerous projects, such as protecting honey bees, cleaning beaches and producing climate-neutral drinks. The "Adnams Triple Malt Whisky Non Chill Filtered" produced in the Copper House Distillery has been on the market under this name since December 2013. For the whisky: Barley, oats and malted wheat are used for the whisky. To obtain the so-called wort, a sticky and sugary liquid, the grain must be ground and then mixed with hot water. The in-house and special Adnams yeast is used for fermentation to convert the sugar into alcohol. During fermentation, the temperature is carefully controlled again and again so that the unique aromas that are synonymous with an Adnams whisky can arise. Copper containers, also known as copper pot stills, are used for distillation. In these stills, the liquid heats up and can then be separated into different categories, such as head and heart. However, only the best, the heart, is used for Adnams whisky. Finally, the distillate is filled into American oak barrels to mature in Southwold for at least 5 years. The barrels are brought to the brewery's cellar especially for this purpose. The American oak has also helped to create the strong coconut aromas and the chocolate taste. A complex nose with spices, roasted oak, citrus fruits and sweet honey is revealed. The whisky seduces your palate with exploding spices and a long, satisfying finish. After five years of maturation in American oak barrels, the whisky also has nuances of vanilla and apricots. John McCarthy, the head distiller, recommends adding a splash of mineral water to the whisky in the glass, so that the aromas can fully open up.

This makes it the exact opposite of another product from Aerstone Whisky, namely the Sea Cask. This matured for 10 years in warehouses near the rugged Ayrshire coast and the Land Casks in the Lowlands. The aroma of the whisky matured in the country is between earthy peat smoke and sweet vanilla and candied orange notes. This is also reflected in the taste. A silky soft character that also surprises with salty caramel notes and a splash of fruity, fresh lime. A pleasant note of smoke paired with a not too intrusive fruity sweetness continues into the finish.
