Product information "Fernando de Castilla Sherry Fino Antique, 0,5 L, 17%"

Fernando de Castilla Sherry Fino Antique 0.5L 17%

Wine has been produced in the Andalusian town of Jerez de la Frontera for over 3000 years, making the town one of the oldest documented wine-producing towns in the world. It gained world fame through the production of fortified wine. Over time, this was renamed Sherry, after the anglicized form of the town's name. In the heart of the old town of Jerez, the Bodega Rey Fernando de Castilla has been producing high-quality sherry since 1837.

The Fino Sherry is produced in the traditional way and matures for several years in open wooden barrels under a thick layer of yeast - the so-called flor. The flor layer protects the sherry from excessive oxidation and allows it to retain its natural freshness.

Only the highest quality products from the house are bottled under the Antique line from Fernando de Castilla. This golden-colored sherry is one of them and is characterized by an extra long maturation period. The bouquet reveals mature aromas and the age of this strong sherry is also noticeable on the palate. A long and dry aftertaste completes this great sherry.
