Fernando de Castilla Sherry Amontillado Antique

Sherry has been produced in the Bodega Rey Fernando de Castilla since 1837. The traditional estate is located in the historic center of Jerez de la Frontera. Wine has been produced in Jerez for over 3000 years, making the city one of the oldest wine-producing cities in the world.
During this long history, the city has experienced many ups and downs, but it is proven to be the place of origin of sherry, which is said to have taken its name from the anglicized form of Jerez.

Amontillado Sherry is a special form of Fino Sherry. During storage, the flor layer covering the Fino Sherry is killed by the addition of brandy and the Fino then matures further in contact with air. This gives it an amber yellow colour and a fuller, nutty flavour.

The Antique line from Fernando de Castilla distinguishes the house's particularly high-quality products and ennobles this outstanding sherry.
