Bristol Caroni Trinidad 1998/2019 Single Cask No. 2186 0,7L 58,7%
Bristol Caroni Trinidad 1998/2019 Single Cask No. 2186 0.7L 58.7% A rum for real rum lovers Founder and director of the company John Barrett has made it his mission to bring the most special rums closer to rum lovers. With his company, he ensures that rums from closed distilleries also reach the public and are not forgotten. The Bristol Caroni Trinidad is also such a treasure. It comes from the Caroni Distillery, which was closed in 2012. It embodied the typical Caribbean rum style through and through. The Trinidad rum was produced at the end of the 90s as one of the distillery's last rums and matured for a decade in barrels made of American white oak. Bristol Spirits acquired this single cask bottling and made it available to the German company Haromex in 2019. The bottling was just 250 bottles, making its value for true rum lovers even clearer. Tasting What can such a high-quality, long-aged rum offer? Let me tell you, quite a lot! However, it offers a great balance between the aromas and the general taste. Fruity, tropical notes are absolutely in focus here. They offer a good balance between sweetness and natural sweetness. Notes of oak and various spices complete the picture at this point.

Williams & Humbert Sherry Lacave Oloroso 0,75L 18%
Williams & Humbert Sherry Lacave Oloroso 0.75L 18% Brandy or sherry? Basically, they are one and the same product. The small but very subtle difference that allows a brandy to be called sherry lies in its origin. If it is a sherry, it will always come from the province of Cadiz in Andalusia, specifically between the triangle of cities Jerez de la Frontera, Sanlucar de Barramenda and Puerto de Santa Maria. Only brandies produced here can officially bear this name. Another special feature of sherry is the grape variety used. Only three special varieties may be used for this: Palomino, Pedro Ximenez and Moscatel. Sherry Lacave Oloroso There is a crucial difference in the preparation of the Oloroso variant compared to, for example, the Fino variant. While the Fino has the so-called flor layer, a foam-like layer that forms during the fermentation process due to the added yeast and thus prevents contact with air, this is deliberately omitted from the strong Oloroso. The aim here is to allow oxidation with oxygen as much as possible in order to increase the formation of acid. Distinctive taste Sherry Lacave Oloroso surprisingly impresses with a finely balanced combination of softness and a youthful touch. The aroma is dominated by fruity dried fruit notes. A certain tartness comes from the walnuts. The two distinctive aromas are also retained in the taste, complemented by further fruity notes of apple. It is ideal for beginners, as the aftertaste is comparatively light and smooth and not too overwhelming.

Five Farms Single Batch Irish Cream Liqueur 0,7L 17%
Five Farms Single Batch Irish Cream Liqueur 0.7L 17% Five Farms The Schlumberger sales company in Germany has now added one of the greatest and most sustainable Irish cream liqueurs to its range. It presents the farm-to-table premium Irish cream liqueur from the Five Farms distillery based in County Cork, Ireland. The special thing about this Irish cream liqueur is the long-standing, regional products. For example, the fresh cream is sourced from five family farms. Here the mother cows graze on lush pastures for at least 300 days a year, have plenty of outdoor space and enjoy a high quality of life. After milking, the milk is produced into cream using the single batch process and then mixed with carefully selected triple-distilled Irish whiskey within 48 hours. In direct comparison to conventional cream liqueurs as we know them in Germany, the one from Five Farms contains ten times more whiskey than usual brands offer. And the design of the bottle is also a real eye-catcher, a lot of thought has been put into the appearance and presentation and we think that is absolutely successful! The Five Farms Cream Liqueur comes in a dark glass bottle with a swing top and is reminiscent of a small milk bottle! Incomparable taste By quickly processing the fresh milk into cream and then marrying it with original Irish whiskey, Five Farms has succeeded in creating a cream liqueur with a unique taste profile. The aroma of the cream liqueur is dominated by notes such as caramel, butterscotch and vanilla, while notes of coffee, syrup and the wonderful aroma of fresh cream spread on the palate.
