Reimonenq Rhum Vieux Premiere Cuvee 0.7L 40%

A lesser-known distillery, Maison ReimonenQ is located in the commune of Sainte-Rose in the northern part of Basse-Terre in Guadeloupe. Founded in 1914 by Finnish brothers Léopold and Fernand Reimonenq, Fernand is in charge of production and is known for his innovative spirit and commitment to improving the supply of cane sugar while paying strict attention to cleanliness. His son Léopold, born in 1933, continues to attach great importance to the quality of the selected sugar canes and to ensuring that they never touch the ground to ensure the quality of the rum. Léopold Reimonenq was proud to own the first tractor in the region and to introduce the first cane cutting machines in the archipelago. Part of the rum produced annually in the distillery matures in 200-liter oak barrels. The terroir of Basse-Terre is characterized by volcanic soils and dense, moist vegetation, which creates optimal conditions for growing sugar cane.

The Reimonenq Rhum Vieux Premiere Cuvee 0.7L 40% matures for 4 years in oak barrels and presents itself with a dark amber color. A bouquet of tropical fruits unfolds on the nose, accompanied by notes of vanilla and a hint of oak. On the palate, a harmonious combination of caramel, honey and a hint of spices is revealed, leading to a velvety finish that lingers pleasantly on the palate.

Phoenix Rhum Blanc Agricole Millesime 2018 0,7L 50%
Phoenix Rhum Blanc Agricole Millesime 2018 0,7L 50%
Phoenix Rhum Blanc Agricole Millesime 2018 0.7L 50% Let's go back a few years, to the end of 2017, to start again. That November, Léopold, the head of the Reimonenq family, was visiting his grandchildren in metropolitan France. During his stay, he suffered a medical incident and spent four months in hospital. In this time of hardship and uncertainty, far from the family distillery, he decided to add a new employee to the team. This employee was a marine production engineer he had met a few months earlier. During the 2018 harvest, the young engineer experimented with a new strain of yeast in some fermentation tanks. Together with Christiane, Mr. Reimonenq's wife, who has been overseeing production for half a century, and Jean, who has worked at the distillery for 36 years, they developed this fascinating new yeast. The choice of yeast is a crucial step in the production of quality rum. The combination of youthful enthusiasm and years of experience resulted in an exciting experiment and a new taste experience. The Phoenix Rhum Blanc Agricole Millesime 2018, affectionately called "Phoenix", embodies the longevity, renaissance and nobility of the Reimonenq distillery. This exquisitely aged creation until 2020 symbolizes not only the return of Mr. Reimonenq to the distillery, but also the inner fire of the family and the great teamwork behind every sip. The Phoenix Rhum Blanc Agricole Millesime 2018 0.7L 50% was aged for two years in stainless steel tanks and is characterized by a rich variety of aromas. Nuances of orange, sour apple, mango and pastry blend harmoniously with a hint of bitter orange to offer an unforgettable taste experience.
