The history of Fee Brothers

The American company Fee Brothers can look back on a long history. The company was founded in 1863 by the Irish immigrant family Fee. Owen Fee, then 31 years old, was the first of the family to emigrate and opened his own butcher shop in Rochester, New York in 1847. After Owen Fee's death in 1855, his wife and the Fees' five children continued to run the shop before converting the butcher shop into a saloon and delicatessen in 1863. Business went well and the Fees quickly got into the lucrative wine and spirits trade. The family business continued over the years and in the 1950s the portfolio was expanded to include the famous bitters. The Fee Brothers brand experienced a national boost in the following years and was able to establish itself in numerous bars and restaurants in the USA. Fee Brothers now produces over 80 different mix ingredients that can be found in bars, coffee houses, ice cream shops and restaurants all over the world.

The production of Fee Brothers Lemon Bitters

The basis for the Fee Brothers Lemon Bitters is glycerin, which is flavored with various oils, flavorings and citric acid. Although this production process is not very natural, the Fee Brothers Lemon Bitters has a very intense flavor, so that even just a few drops come into their own in cocktails and long drinks.

The taste of Fee Brothers Lemon Bitters

As already mentioned, the Fee Brothers Lemon Bitters has a very intense flavor. On the nose, the Fee Brothers Lemon Bitters seems a bit artificial and very lemony. On the palate, the Fee Brothers Lemon Bitters shows not only sweet and oily aromas but also fresh, intense lemon aromas and a strong bitterness. The aftertaste of the Fee Brothers Lemon Bitters is also characterized by a strong lemon note. The Fee Brothers Lemon Bitters is particularly suitable for the preparation of numerous classic and modern cocktails and long drinks.
