El Dorado Rum Blended in the Barrel 2008/2019 Uitvlugt Enmore from Guyana combines two different distillates and thus two different distillation processes: the wooden Continuous Wooden Coffey Still and the Continuous Savalle Still made of metal. Both distillates were produced in 2008, mixed and then matured for eleven years in American bourbon barrels before the El Dorado Rum Blended in the Barrel 2008/2019 Uitvlugt Enmore 0.7L 47.4% was bottled in 2019.

The aroma is characterized by sweet honey, molasses, spices such as cinnamon and nutmeg as well as vanilla. On the palate, a spicy, bitter-sweet note unfolds with a hint of liquorice and subtle nuances of dark chocolate. The finish is long and strong, with a hint of wood.

Bristol Rum Port Morant Demerara Guyana 2008/2018 0.7L 44% What makes Port Morant Rum special? Not only does it come from a distillery that has already been closed, but the way it is produced also makes Port Morant Rum a very special representative in its field. Despite the closure, the distillery's peculiarities can live on. The rum's unmistakable taste is created during production, because here there is not the usual copper or stainless steel still, but a wooden still! After being distilled in this construction, it was then matured again in an oak barrel for a decade. Distillation and maturation create a deep dark color and an absolutely unmistakable aroma. It is already very complex in taste, but has a great balance between complexity and elegance, with notes such as sweet toffee, dried fruit and of course oak notes.

Bristol Rum Port Morant Demerara Guyana 2008/2019 0,7L 43%
Bristol Rum Port Morant Demerara Guyana 2008/2019 0.7L 43% Independent bottler With the company Bristol Spirits Ldt., founder and managing director John Barrett has fulfilled a dream. The aim of his company is to make small quantities of high-quality rum from all over the world accessible. Sometimes it is even just individual barrels that are close to his heart and whose special taste he wants to bring closer to collectors and enthusiasts. His product portfolio includes not only products from still existing distilleries, but also from distilleries that closed years or even decades ago and products of the brand are true rarities. One of these distilleries is the Port Mourant distillery in Guyana. Rum production was discontinued here as early as the middle of the 20th century. The special thing about the distillery's rum was the heart of the production process, the Double Wooden Pot Still. Yes, exactly, a wooden pot still! This centerpiece was first installed in the Uitvlugt distillery and finally in the Diamond distillery. This is how the Port Mourant distillery created rum with a significantly heavier and richer character. The Port Morant Guyana 2008/2019 also shows these stronger characteristics and is a must-have for every rum lover! Notes of vanilla and spices such as oak can be perceived for the first time on the nose. If you now put a sip in the glass and let it develop for a moment, a fine aroma of butterscotch with great sweet notes of dried fruit but also a pleasant spiciness of oak wood is revealed on the palate.

El Dorado Rum The Last Casks 1998/2022 Tri-Canada/Port Mourant/Enmore 0,7L 50,3%
El Dorado Rum The Last Casks 1998/2022 Tri-Canada/Port Mourant/Enmore 0.7L 50.3% The rum produced at that time not only served the purpose of enjoyment, but also had an important medical function. The British Navy received barrels of high-proof rum to disinfect the drinking water on board. On long sea voyages, where water spoiled quickly, it was kept germ-free by adding rum. Each sailor therefore received a daily ration of 0.5 liters (!) of rum. To cope with this enormous amount, up to 300 distilleries in Guyana provided supplies. However, the excessive consumption of rum was by no means beneficial to the health of the sailors. For this reason, rum rations were gradually reduced and eventually eliminated when alternative methods of preserving water on long voyages were developed. El Dorado Rum The Last Casks 1998/2022 Tri-Canada/Port Mourant/Enmore embodies the centuries-old tradition, craftsmanship and rich heritage of Demerara rum making. This unique El Dorado Rum consists of carefully selected rums distilled in the Port Mourant Double Wooden Pot Still, the Enmore Wooden Coffey Still and the now closed Tri-Canada Still. All components were distilled in 1998, then married and aged for 24 years in former bourbon barrels under the tropical climate of Guyana. This limited edition El Dorado Rum The Last Casks is bottled at cask strength and presented without chill filtering in a warm amber tone. An earthy, smoky aroma unfolds on the nose with sweet notes of dried fruit, raisins, plums and a hint of spicy cinnamon, paired with subtle wood nuances. On the palate, the rum is dry, spicy and sweet at the same time, with aromas of dark chocolate, caramel, honey and orange peel. The finish is long-lasting and leaves a lasting impression. El Dorado Rum The Last Casks 1998/2022 Tri-Canada/Port Mourant/Enmore 0.7L 50.3% is a tribute to the history and outstanding craftsmanship of Demerara rum production and offers an incomparable taste experience for connoisseurs and lovers of premium rum.
