The story of the Corsair Distillery
The story of the Corsair Distillery is not necessarily the story of a typical distillery. Behind the Corsair Distillery are not a corporation or large investors, but two friends. Andrew Webber and Darek Bell have been friends since kindergarten and did some crazy things together in their youth. When they came of age, the two began making their own beer and wine in the garage of Darek and his girlfriend Amy Lee. Of course, on a very small scale and more for fun than to make money. A few years later, when they were working together on a plant to produce biodiesel, Webber and Bell noticed that their passion was more for spirits and American whiskey in particular. They therefore decided to open their own whiskey distillery - the Corsair Distillery. Since neither of them had any training in this area, they got hold of as much literature as they could on the subject of distillery technology and American whiskey. They taught themselves the technology behind whiskey production and shortly afterwards brought their first own bottlings onto the market.

The quality of the Corsair Distillery's distillates was very high right from the start, which is why the individual products were quickly mentioned in well-known trade magazines such as the Whisky Advocate, Whisky Magazine, Saveur, Imbibe, Food and Wine and Maxim.com. Today, the Corsair Distillery is not only known in the USA, but the products from Webber and Bell convince fans all over the world.

Corsair Oatrage Whiskey

The Corsair Oatrage Whiskey is a special feature in the distillery's portfolio. In addition to regular, but heavily roasted, malt, it is also made with malted oats. This special blend gives the Oatrage Whiskey an aroma that is not normally found in whiskey. The Oatrage Whiskey is very silky, light and charming on the nose and palate. Its light smoky notes only come out in the aftertaste. An exciting whiskey for all those who think they have already drunk everything.
