Brockman's Gin was developed by several friends who had the shared vision of bringing a completely new gin to market. What united the small group was their passion for the diversity of gin and their expertise in various areas relating to the noble drink with juniper. While one young man in the group was well versed in the history of gin, others completed the team with knowledge of distillation and extensive sensory experience in the field of gin. Ideal basic requirements for creating an excellent product!
The goal in developing Brockman's was clear from the start: It should be a gin that people enjoy drinking neat or with a little ice. What seems unspectacular at first glance was a bold idea, because when have you ever seen a guest in a bar drinking gin neat? Correct - actually never, because gin is traditionally only used as an ingredient in long drinks or cocktails. This is not the case with any of the other "big" spirits such as whisky, vodka or rum - they are all often enjoyed neat!

The development of Brockman's Gin
If it were easy to develop a gin that you can drink with pleasure, a similar gin would probably have come onto the market before Brockman's. That the challenge was greater than expected also became clear during the development of this special gin. Hundreds of different recipes with botanicals from all parts of the world were tried out until a recipe was finally found that satisfied all friends.
The basis for this, in addition to high-quality base alcohol, is of course the botanicals. To ensure that Brockman's is clearly recognizable as a gin, classic botanicals such as juniper berries, cinnamon cassia and orange peel are also used in its production. To round off the taste profile, we also use rather unusual ingredients such as blueberries or blackberries, which give the gin a round and slightly fruity taste.
We recommend - of course - enjoying Brockman's Gin neat, ideally slightly chilled or on ice. However, it also tastes very good when mixed with tonic water or ginger ale!

To make Dulaman Irish Maritim Gin as unique as possible, the distillers try to capture the 'magic of the sea' by using five of the region's native seaweed species and six other plants. The gin is bottled at 43.2% and bottled in dark, elegant 50cl bottles that are reminiscent of old stranded bottles found along the Donagal coast. To complete the overall picture, each bottle has been sealed with a wax seal. The taste of Dulaman Maritim Irish Gin The juniper is in the foreground on the palate, and as this taste fades it is filled with umami: a tasty mixture of sweet, sour, salty and bitter. The coast around Sliabh Liag is home to centuries of knowledge about harvesting and using these natural products, providing an exceptional bounty for such collectors. An Dúlamán bottles commemorate the finds of bottles on the Donegal coast from the casualties of the Spanish Armada. To create An Dúlamán we capture the "Draíocht na Farraige" (the magic of the sea) by using five locally harvested seaweed varieties and six other botanicals. This unique combination makes An Dúlamán as special as the Donegal coast itself. To ensure An Dúlamán retains its characteristic complexity and smoothness, we have learned that Méabh (our still) prefers a low alcohol content in the pot and a narrow temperature range to treat the delicate seaweed. We hit a hell of a narrow cut to get the best out of the distillate. For this special An Dulaman Gin Edition, three seaweeds have been replaced with seven exciting new ingredients: oolong tea, ginger, sesame seeds, star anise, hibiscus flowers, sakura (Japanese cherry blossoms preserved in salt) and kaffir lime leaves.
