Plantation Rum Trinidad 2009 One Time Limited Edition 0.7L 51.8% The new one Trinidad 2009 One Time Limited Edition is a particularly noble and rare drop simply because of its origin. Rum from the Caribbean island of Trinidad is known for its intense and spicy aromas, but products from the former local distilleries are rarely found anymore. So it is all the more pleasing when a bottler has managed to get hold of the limited stocks. This Plantation Trinidad 2009 is also a limited edition. This rum was produced by Trinidad Distillers Limited and, after distillation in Trinidad, matured for 11 years in former bourbon barrels. The rum was then shipped to Europe, more precisely to Maison Ferrand in France, where it was left to mature for another year in ex-cognac barrels. The main aromas are tonka bean, coffee, vanilla and toffee. On the palate there are notes of cooked fruit and roasted nuts. All in all, the 2009 One Time is an absolutely harmonious rum, with other aromas such as pastries and light smoky and woody notes emerging in the long finish.

Plantation Rum Australia 2007 One Time Limited Edition 0.7L 49.3% Rum from Down Under We're used to a lot with Plantation Rum and it feels like they've presented rum from all over the world, but there's one place they haven't yet covered, and so Maison Ferrand is presenting the result of their collaboration with the Beenleigh Artisan Disitllery from Australia. The foundation for this excellent rum, which is made from sugar cane molasses with two different yeasts, was laid back in 2007. This was followed by 13 years of maturation in the country of distillation before Master Blender Alexandre Gabriel selected 21 barrels for further maturation. These were then finished for another year in ex-Ferrand cognac barrels under French conditions. Taste The taste is characterised by wonderful notes of stone fruit such as apricots and peaches, which are underlined by vanilla and coconut. Fresh citrus notes and a hint of cocoa are also added. The tropical fruity notes also linger for a long time in the aftertaste.

Plantation Rum One Time Limited Edition Jamaica Clarendon MSP 2007 0.7L 48.4% One Time Series - Jamaica 2007/2022 The current bottling of the 'One Time Edition' was produced in 2007 in the Clarendon Distillery and has now been finally bottled after an impressive maturation period of 15 years. During this time it matured in different barrels, initially for a good 13 years in large, 200L American bourbon barrels, and then for the last 2 years in former 350L cognac barrels. Jamaican flair The aroma on the nose is described with intense, tropical notes reminiscent of guava, melon and toasted wood. But orange, allspice and ginger as well as a hint of sea air are also recognizable. On the palate there is a very rich fruit aroma, wood aroma, vanilla and the aroma of baked apples. The finish is long and has notes of coconut, oak and various spices.

After 2 years of maturation in bourbon barrels on Barbados, it was refined for a further 14 years in former Ferrand barrels in France. This unique production method guarantees a rum with an exceptional taste and aromatic variety. The nose of this rum reveals spicy aromas, accompanied by ripe bananas and citrus fruits. With a strong alcohol content of 51.4%, it develops aromas of coconut, stone fruit, lemon, dried plums, chopped herbs, sugared almonds and sesame, rounded off with vanilla and cinnamon. On the palate there is a fresh, sweet note of citrus freshness and dried fruit notes. The finish reveals a spicy nuance, almost tending towards the piquant, before the sweet accents of vanilla, caramel and cream leave a long aftertaste.

Before distillation, it undergoes a 4 to 5 day fermentation and is then distilled using the pot still method. This Plantation Fiji rum matures for 10 years, including in Fiji in former bourbon barrels and a further 3 years in France in former Cognac Ferrand barrels. With an appealing golden tone and an alcohol content of 49.5% vol., the rum exudes fruity aromas accompanied by pastry notes. After a while in the glass, a fresh, floral note is added. On the palate, the rum impresses with balanced aromas of tropical fruits, bitter orange and a fine spiciness. The finish is long and slightly spicy.

This rum is a blend of rums that were fermented for 1 week and distilled in three historic stills: the French Savalle metal still, the Port Mourant and the Enmore Wooden Coffey Still. The double maturation, starting with 13 years in former bourbon barrels in the cool cellar of the Demerara Distillery in Guyana, continues in France. There, a second maturation phase of 2 years takes place in French oak barrels. Bottled in a dark amber tone, the Plantation Guyana 2007 One Time Rum Limited Edition impresses on the nose with complex aromas of cocoa, lime peel and almond. On the palate, there are soft, floral notes of wild flowers, fruit and a hint of tobacco. The finish is long-lasting.

After 8 years of maturation in American bourbon barrels in Barbados, the Plantation Barbados 2013 One Time Rum is shipped to France. There it undergoes a final 1-year finish in 400-liter Ferrand barrels. With an alcohol content of 50.2%, it reveals a fruity, sweet and spicy aroma of orange blossom, peach, bananas, coconut, roasted almonds and pepper on the nose. On the palate it is extremely rich, with additional notes of honey, hazelnut, pastry and a hint of ginger and tobacco. The finish is long and fruity.

Plantation Sealander Rum 0.7L 40% Plantation Sealander Rum is a fascinating fusion of the rum traditions of Barbados, Mauritius, and Fiji. Molasses and sugarcane juice are blended at the West Indies Rum Distillery in Barbados, the Saint Aubin Distillery in Mauritius, and the Rum Co. of Fiji Distillery. Fermentation lasts from 3 days to 3 weeks, and distillation takes place in both pot stills and column stills. After several years of tropical aging in bourbon barrels, it undergoes an additional year of continental aging in Ferrand casks.
