Who is behind Monkey Shoulder?

Not many people have heard of this brand yet. But let us tell you that you most likely know the whisky brand behind Monkey Shoulder.
The founder of the brand is none other than the well-known company William Grant & Sons! This is therefore a real Scottish whisky and brings together three of the greatest whisky producers under one roof.

These three different distilleries and their different characters are also united in the Monkey Shoulder Blended Whisky. The first edition of this blend, the 'Mokey Shoulder', was released in 2005, but this bottling is the 'peated' version.
'Somkey' is absolutely the name of the game with this blend. All blends used are based on peated barley or peated whisky. This taste is more likely to attract connoisseurs than beginners.
The smoky character is accompanied on the palate by fruity notes such as orange and a fine sweetness that can also convince beginners.

Monkey 47 Dry Gin, 0,5 L, 47%
Monkey 47 Dry Gin 0.5L 47% Gin from the Black Forest The history of Monkey 47 is a success story. The self-proclaimed Black Forest Dry Gin was introduced in May 2010 and quickly gained international renown. It can now be found in the best bars and restaurants in Spain and Great Britain. The history of Monkey 47 No good product without a good story. This is also the case with Monkey 47. According to legend, the British Royal Air Force soldier Montgomery "Monty" Collins ended up in the Black Forest after a stay in Berlin. As the diplomat's son Montgomery spent his childhood in India, he had a great affinity for exotic flora and fauna. This also explains why he adopted a Java monkey from the Berlin Zoo before leaving Berlin. After arriving in the Black Forest, he opened an inn there and named it "Zum wilden Affen" in reference to his adopted monkey. As a British gentleman, Montgomery naturally did not want to do without the most British of all drinks - gin - in his inn. For this reason, he developed a recipe with 47 botanicals. These herbs and spices were based on his own life story and so he combined traditional gin aromatics, such as juniper, with exotic botanicals from India and pure and original aromas from herbs native to the Black Forest. In the 1960s, all trace of Montgomery was lost and with him the recipe for the gin. It was not until the turn of the millennium that an old box with the recipe was rediscovered in the attic of the inn. Alexander Stein, the managing director of the Blackforest distillery, quickly recognised the potential of the recipe and began making initial attempts to produce the gin according to the old recipe. He finally succeeded and so the Monkey 47 Black Forest Dry Gin saw the light of day again. The taste of Monkey 47 All of the botanicals used in Monkey 47 are hand-picked and of exceptional quality. Particularly noteworthy is the use of fresh blueberries, which give the gin an incomparable aroma. After distillation, the gin matures for 100 days in ancient stoneware jugs, which allow oxygen to be exchanged with the environment through fine pores. This allows the aromas in the product to harmonise particularly well. Finally, the gin is reduced with extremely soft spring water to a drinking strength of 47% vol. This old-school gin has a wonderful bouquet of cranberries, spruce needles and cucumber and lime aromas. The aftertaste is characterized by fine floral nuances and remains in the memory for a long time. A great product!

Deadhead Dark Chocolate Monkey Likör 0,7L 35%
Deadhead Dark Chocolate Monkey Liqueur 0,7L 35%
Deadhead Dark Chocolate Monkey Liqueur 0.7L 35% Deadhead Rum is produced in Mexico. Tropical Veracruz is one of 31 states and is known for its many mountains, caves, abundant rain and, above all, for the huge sugar cane plantations from which rum is made. The rums produced there are among the best in the world. Deadhead Rum is made from a mixture of sugar cane juice and molasses in small batches and with slow fermentation. It is then distilled twice in copper kettles. The rum is produced with the utmost care and, after distillation, is allowed to mature for 6 years in selected oak barrels using the Solera system. This means that when the six-year-old rum is bottled, the barrel is only half emptied and refilled with three-year-old rum that is stored on a higher level. These, in turn, are filled up with one-year-old rum, and the barrels are finally filled with new rum. This process ensures consistently good taste.. Deadhead Dark Chocolate Rum Deadhead Dark Chocolate Rum is another product from Iconic Brands Inc. It was developed by founder Kim Brandi. She wanted to combine the best rum with the finest cocoa in the States. After the maturation process, the Deadhead Rum for the Dark Chocolate Liqueur is flavored with the finest chocolate made from roasted cocoa beans from the region and left to rest for a further sixty days. This careful process enhances the existing qualities of the aged rum. In this way, they create a perfect balance between chocolate and rum. Just like for the Deadhead Rum, the producers have come up with a very special design for the Dark Chocolate Liqueur. It is presented in a 0.7 liter monkey-shaped bottle, a tribute to the spiritual beliefs of the Mayan and Aztec cultures. Taste: Connoisseurs will get their money's worth here: The full-bodied liqueur has exactly the expected notes of dark chocolate, coffee and brown sugar, a well-balanced taste between rum and chocolate. Pleasantly creamy with notes of caramel and vanilla, the wonderful taste remains for a long time. Overall, a very balanced liqueur that is not artificial, but completely natural with notes of cocoa and yet does not overpower the wonderful rum.

Monkey 47 Dry Gin Barrel Cut 0,5L 47%
Monkey 47 Dry Gin Barrel Cut 0,5L 47%
Monkey 47 Dry Gin Barrel Cut 0.5L 47% The German brand Monkey Gin from the Black Forest was one of the very first distilleries in Germany to produce gin. As the name suggests, the distillery's label features a monkey. Today, the Black Forest Gin is one of the most popular, and alongside the first product, Monkey Gin, the range is constantly being expanded to include new limited editions. The barrels selected for maturation come from the Palatinate. They are made from a long-forgotten wood, that of the mulberry tree. The company in the Palatinate still makes wooden barrels by hand to refine various distillates. After bottling, the first maturation phase begins. This is where the desired aromas are extracted from the wood. This is followed by the second maturation phase, which takes place in an old granary dating back to 1840. The constant climate with a consistent temperature that prevails there influences the taste even further. Barrel Cut Monkey Gin The new limited barrel-aged edition of Monkey Gin has its own multifaceted taste thanks to the choice of the particularly fragrant aroma of mulberry wood. These aromas are also clearly in the foreground on the palate. They combine with fine notes of roasted wood, a subtle, unobtrusive sweetness and subtle fruit notes.
