Takamaka Bay Rum White Overproof, 0.7 L, 69% History and production of Takamaka White Overproof 69 Rum: Takamaka, the name already sounds like vacation. Inevitably, a picture of turquoise sea, palm trees and sandy beaches appears in the mind's eye. And indeed: Takamaka is a rum made in the Seychelles from freshly pressed sugar cane juice, which combines the culture and flair of the island state. The numerous islands of the Seychelles are located in the Indian Ocean, about 800 km east of the African mainland. Due to the great distance from continental landmasses, a unique flora and fauna has developed over the millennia, which also differs from island to island and ensures a great deal of diversity. The climate is warm and humid, the volcanic origin with its fertile soil offers ideal conditions for growing sugar cane. In 2001, the two local d'Offay brothers decided to use the sugar cane from their own plantations to make rum, and Takamaka was born. Since then, numerous creations based on fresh sugar cane juice have appeared. All Takamaka products therefore delight with a very typical note that can best be described as a combination of fruitiness, sweetness and a slight grassiness. The latest product is the Takamaka White Overproof 69 Rum. This is the undiluted version of the popular Takamaka White Rum, which with its 69% ABV makes quite a racket on the tongue and is particularly predestined for targeted use in cocktails. Like the other Takamaka products, the Takamaka White Overproof 69 Rum comes in a completely revised design. The bright turquoise shines like the Indian Ocean that surrounds the Seychelles, but leaves enough room for an unobstructed view of the crystal-clear contents. Tasting the Takamaka White Overproof 69 Rum: The Takamaka White Overproof 69 Rum forms long streaks in the glass and appears extremely oily. The bouquet is characterized by a phenomenal abundance of aromas. In addition to tropical fruits such as bananas, pineapples and mangos, there are also pears, apples, sugar cane and raspberries. La Favorite Rhum Agricole Blanc Riviere Bel Air 2020 0.7L 53% On the island of Martinique, the La Favorite distillery in the heart of the island is highly valued. This is white rum that is made entirely by hand. It all starts on a four-hectare terroir planted with red sugar cane. It is harvested by hand and finds its way to the distillery. The fourth edition of the single-variety white rum 'Rivière Bel'Air 2020' is already being produced there. The taste Nose: Intense aromas, especially of fresh sugar cane and exotic fruits, are revealed. Palate: the white rum presents itself as a soft, almost creamy rum. Fresh aromas of sugar cane are also present here, underlined by a hint of spicy pepper notes. Finish: The rum develops increasingly clear fruity notes and ends with sweetness and spice.

La Favorite Rhum Agricole Blanc La Digue Recolte 2019 0.7L 52% The history of the La Favorite distillery The La Favorite distillery is one of the last remaining family distilleries on the island of Martinique. It all started with the cultivation of sugar cane until Henri Dormoy bought the terroir. He wanted to modernize everything and opened a distillery. Then as now, it is equipped with an old steam engine that is still in use. The Agricole Blanc La Dique 2019 is a white rum agricole made from fresh sugar cane juice. The La Digue plot behind the distillery on the river bank was selected for this purpose. It is an area of three hectares, which was harvested in April 2019. The yield of this sugar cane harvest produced around 7,000 bottles, all hand-sealed with wax and numbered. Agricole Blanc La Dique 2019 offers notes of fresh sugar cane juice accompanied by a delicate almond aroma.

Habitation Velier Worthy Park Forsyths 151 Proof Jamaican Pure Single Rum 0.7L 75.5% Worthy Park Estate Distillery The Worthy Park Distillery is an authentic Jamaican rum distillery that was founded in 1670. All rums are produced here using the traditional pot still method and are described as 'Single Estate', which means that the raw materials used come from the rum's own cultivation and are immediately processed on site. The molasses comes from the sugar production, which is also located on 'The Worthy Park Estate', and the water required for production comes from its own source. The Velier Worthy Park Forsyths 151 Proof Rum was also produced using the traditional pot still method. It is then brought to market by the independent bottler Habitation Velier, who releases the rum as an overproof bottling.

Its peculiarity lies in the fact that it should be chilled in the freezer and served with a glaze to enjoy ice-cold shots. This edition is limited to a limited edition of only 3,500 bottles. Made from pure sugar cane juice, this Pere Labat blanc Agricole Rhum is distilled in a column and then bottled directly at the end of the process, known as "raw column", without any additives. The exceptional intensity of its aromas is due to the longer fermentation time of 3 days, compared to the usual 1 to 2 days. When tasting this Pere Labat Rhum Agricole Blanc Brut de Colonne 0.7L 70.7%, floral notes and fresh sugar cane notes are revealed, which are particularly noticeable when the rhum is enjoyed ice cold.

William Hinton Rum Natural Limited Edition 0.7L 69% In 2006, the Rum Project was born when sugar cane production in Madeira was increasing sharply and a solution was needed to meet the needs of the growing sugar cane sector and help the numerous farmers dedicated to sugar cane cultivation.
