Worthy Park Estate Distillery

The Worthy Park Distillery is an authentic Jamaican rum distillery that was founded in 1670. All rums are produced here using the traditional pot still method and are described as 'Single Estate', which means that the raw materials used come from the rum's own cultivation and are immediately processed on site. The molasses comes from the sugar production, which is also located on 'The Worthy Park Estate', and the water required for production comes from its own source.

The Velier Worthy Park Forsyths 151 Proof Rum was also produced using the traditional pot still method. It is then brought to market by the independent bottler Habitation Velier, who releases the rum as an overproof bottling.

Worthy Park Rum Special Release Oloroso Cask 0.7L 55% Worthy Park Distillery Where else should this rum distillery be found than in Jamaica? The South Americans simply have it in their blood to produce fascinating types of rum. This distillery is run by the Clarke family. Production using the English method Not only special quality, but also efficiency, regionality and old traditions are valued when producing Jamaican rum. In order to create a particularly aromatic character, rum is produced in the 'English style'. This means that it is 100% produced using the so-called pot style method. Another important point for the special taste is the maturation in a tropical climate, this was initially done for 4 years in old bourbon barrels, so that a delicate vanilla aroma could develop, and then for a further 2 years in Oloroso sherry barrels, which created a clearly strong oak aroma. Limited Edition If you want to try this fine drop, you should be quick! This bottling is limited to 1612 bottles worldwide. In terms of taste, you can summarize a breathtaking tropical aroma. It is not just rich fruit notes and dark chocolate aromas that ensure a special moment of enjoyment. Together with tropical spices and a hint of oak, the rum is convincing all along the line.

La Favorite Rhum Agricole Vieux Privilege pour Lulu 0,7L 41,3%
La Favorite Rhum Agricole Vieux Privilege pour Lulu 0.7L 41.3% La Favorite- Martinique La Favorite is the most special rum distillery still to be found on the Caribbean island of Martinique. It has been operated with the same steam engine since 1906. The distillery has always been a family business; since 1905 it has been owned by the Dormoy family, who converted the distillery into an agricultural rum distillery, but it is still one of the most traditional on the entire island. The new La Favorite is a homage to grandmother Lucienne Dormoy, known as Lulu, who ran the distillery with her husband André for more than 50 years. A special edition is now being dedicated to her on the occasion of her 100th birthday. The result is a full-bodied cuvée made from five vintages and includes a 2000, a 2001, a 2002, a 2009 and a 2010. Tasting The La Favorite character is immediately apparent on the nose. Exotic, candied fruits, especially banana, are in the foreground, accompanied by a subtle cigar note. On the palate, an astonishingly soft rum, despite an impressive 45% ABV. Here, it is mainly oak, mocha and tobacco notes that are in the foreground, but the already familiar fruit aromas are also present.

Cane Island Jamaica Superior Reserve Aged Rum 0,7L 40%
Cane Island Jamaica Superior Reserve Aged Rum 0,7 Liter 40%
Cane Island Jamaica Superior Reserve Aged Rum 0.7L 40% Cane Island has set itself the goal of presenting the diversity of rum in all its facets, listing the different variations and paying homage to all of the diversity. Already in its name, Cane Island devotes itself to rum by referring to the "sugar cane island" to unmistakably indicate what it is about - rum. Sugar cane, as the basic product for production, is widely known in general alcoholic basic knowledge. The harvest of this basic raw material takes place in the first months of the year, often from February. The grass, which visually resembles a mixture of bamboo and reed, must first mature for 10 to 12 months to a length of about 4 meters. It is then cut off just above the ground with a machete or cutting machine. However, only the stems are needed for further production. Therefore, all the leaves are often cut off directly in the field and only the canes themselves are transported further. Immediately after the harvest, the sugar cane juice is extracted by finely cutting and pressing the canes. This juice is either used directly for production to produce the AOC-protected Rhum Agricole, or further intermediate steps and strong reduction of the juice are used to obtain the molasses that is used for the majority of the world's rum production. The Cane Island Jamaica Superior Reserve Aged Rum 0.7L 40% comes from this molasses and is a sophisticated blend of the distillates from four distilleries, all based in Jamaica. This copper-brown Caribbean rum is based on the pot still distillation process. The Cane Island Jamaica Blend Rum impresses with its particularly deep and complex character. It is characterized by a typically Jamaican balance between fruity notes and the bourbon wood accents that arise from storage.
