Gustav Blueberry Vodka is produced by the Finnish company Lignell & Piispanen. Lignell & Piispanen is a well-known name in the Finnish spirits industry, which is no surprise, as the company has been present on the market there since 1852. It was founded in that same year by the entrepreneur Gustav Ranin, who in 1859 acquired the "Crown Distillery", which was founded in 1783 by King Gustav III of Sweden in the city of Kuopio. The cloudberry is a very rare plant that bears yellow-orange fruit and thrives in the boreal and circumpolar zones. The very small stocks in Germany are strictly protected. The cloudberries for the Gustav Cloudberry Liqueur are harvested in the wild, which means a lot of work. After the harvest, the cloudberries are mixed with sugar and home-made alcohol and the mixture is then left to mature for several months. After the maturation period, the mixture is pressed, filtered and bottled at 21% vol. bottled in elegant designer bottles. The taste of Gustav Cloudberry Liqueur The gentle Cloudberry Liqueur has an orange-yellow color and a floral and fruity smell, similar to cloudberries.
