The Foursquare Equidem 14 Year Old Rum is the 27th edition of the coveted Exceptional Cask Selection and represents masterful aging and craftsmanship. Initially aged for five years in bourbon barrels, it matured for a further nine years in rare Black Muscat casks – a first for Foursquare. The result is a powerful single blended rum at 61% ABV, distilled in both pot and column stills – entirely without added sugar, coloring, or chill filtration. The Foursquare Equidem 14 Year Old presents itself in a deep amber hue. On the nose, it is complex and herbaceous with intense notes of sultanas, overripe plums, juicy nectarines, tangy lemons, and clementines, complemented by subtle nuances of marzipan, ginger, and dried turmeric. On the palate, it unfolds a creamy, smooth texture with hints of caramel and a fruity abundance of ripe summer fruits such as peaches and plums.
