Albert Michler Fiji 2010/2022 is a single cask rum from the South Pacific Distillery, based on the beautiful Fiji Islands. This limited edition Albert Michler rum was distilled in 2010 on the Fiji Islands and was aged for 6 years in oak barrels in the tropical climate before being shipped to Great Britain in 2017, where it was allowed to enjoy a second maturation in former bourbon barrels.

Bottled at an impressive 53.7% ABV, the Albert Michler Fiji 2010/2022 Single Cask Collection Rum offers aromas of chocolate and orange on the nose. Notes of chocolate pastries and bread are also present. Slightly woody tannins give the bouquet a subtle complexity. You can also smell a hint of volcanic earth. It is clear, spicy and powerful on the palate. The first sip unfolds a dynamic energy that is reminiscent of an alcohol-soaked chocolate cake. A spicy mixture of cake, chocolate and orange unfolds in the mouth. The pleasant pinch of oak, tobacco and chocolate rounds off the taste experience.

Despite the intensity, the rum hardly burns in the throat, and you are amazed at how the heat from the nose and the first sip turns into a harmonious finale. A perfect rum for pure enjoyment, as well as for fine cocktails.

Unlike traditional rums, the distillates of these two types are mixed together immediately after distillation and not after maturation. The El Dorado Rum 2010/2019 Diamond Port Mourant is bottled with an alcohol content of 49.1% vol. and presents sweet, spicy notes of nutmeg and cinnamon as well as dark chocolate on the nose. Aromas of vanilla, molasses and licorice unfold on the palate, while the long finish leaves a dry wood note.

Plantation Fiji 2001 Single Cask Rozelieures Fumé Finish Rum 0.7L 45.8% The Plantation Fiji 2001 Single Cask Rum is based on molasses that was fermented for five days and distilled in 2001. It matured for a total of 21 years, including 19 years in Fiji in former American oak bourbon barrels. It was then shipped to France, where it rested for 1 year in former Ferrand cognac barrels before being finished for a further 4 months in Rozelieures single malt whisky barrels. The nose reveals aromas of flambéed bananas, vanilla and hazelnut, followed by nuances of quince, peach, a hint of seaweed and marzipan. On the palate, the Plantation Fiji 2001 Single Cask Rozelieures Fumé Finish Rum 0.7L 45.8% is soft, fresh and slightly smoky, accompanied by notes of citrus fruit, passion fruit, vanilla and fresh herbs such as eucalyptus and mint. The finish is long-lasting.
