Pinckney Bend Destillery
It is the small but subtle differences that allow a small artisanal distillery to keep up with the big global corporations.
With attention to detail and the preservation of old traditions and stories, you can often achieve more than a mass-produced gin, whiskey or vodka can.

American Gin
There are a few special features in the production process that make Pinckney Bend Gin very different from others. The most important point is that this gin is handcrafted in very small batches. Furthermore, the botanicals are treated differently. Some of them are macerated and distilled, others are suspended in the column still. These are, of course, some well-known botanicals, such as juniper, coriander or orris, without which the gin would not be gin at all. But special ingredients such as lavender and special citrus fruits are also used.
These subtle differences can be recognized on the palate. First a clear juniper aroma, which gives way to a softer, sweeter aroma. The harmonious gin is rounded off by a light citrus finish.

dh Krahn Gin, 0,7 L, 40%

DH Krahn Gin 0.7L 40% The two fellow students Dave Hughes and Scott Krahn worked together at Cornell University on a project that involved the successful launch of a new spirit on the market. During this project, they dealt so extensively with the production and marketing of the perfect gin that they did not let go of this idea even after they had finished their studies. After further years of research, they developed a recipe that uses relatively few botanicals. This means that the gin is not overloaded with countless aromas, but has a very direct and clear taste. It is distilled by hand in a specially made alembic still and then stored for at least three months in neutral steel containers to harmonize its taste. On the nose, the gin has a light ginger note, which is complemented by fine citrus aromas on the palate. A little coriander can be detected in the aftertaste.

Ransom Old Tom Gin, 0,7 L, 44%

Ransom Old Tom Gin 0.7L 44% This remarkable Old Tom Gin is produced by Ransom Spirits, based in Oregon, USA. The gin is a remake of the "Old Tom" style of gin, which was extremely popular in England in the 18th century. It is a slightly sweetened gin that is the basis of many classic cocktail recipes. Ransom Spirits developed its Old Tom Gin with the help of the famous cocktail historian David Wondrich, who also developed a Curaçao with Cognac Ferrand that was named "Spirit of the Year 2013".In the production of Ransom Old Tom Gin, a malty spice is used, which is also why the subtle malt notes on the nose are due to it. After distillation, various herbs and spices are added to the base for maceration and then distilled in small pot stills and the best fraction of the distillation is bottled. A great Old Tom Gin that is ideal for the Martinez cocktail.

MRDC River Rose Gin 0,7L 40%
MRDC River Rose Gin, 0,7 L, 40%

MRDC River Rose Gin 0.7L 40% The history of the Mississippi River Distilling Company The MRDC River Rose Gin is produced by the Mississippi River Distilling Company in LeClaire, Iowa. The Mississippi River Distilling Company was founded in 2010 by two brothers who wanted to realize their dream of owning their own distillery. They wanted to produce an honest, handcrafted gin. A product that the region had not seen since Prohibition. Contracts were signed with local farms that from then on supplied the ingredients for the Mississippi River Distilling Company's products. These are corn, wheat, malt and rye. From this, the Mississippi River Distilling Company produces River Pilot Vodka, River Rose Gin, River Baron, Artisan Spirit, Cody Road Bourbon and Cody Road Rye. The production of River Rose Gin The River Rose Gin honors a time long gone. A time in which, for example, the great Gatsby lived and celebrated his legendary parties. This is also evident in the ingredients of the River Rose Gin. The current recipe for the River Rose Gin goes back to a recipe from the 1800s. In addition to juniper, the pure distillate is flavored with lots of citrus. For example, orange, grapefruit and lemon find their way into the maceration tank. Other botanicals used are lavender, rose petals and locally grown cucumbers, which provide the unmistakable finish of the River Rose Gin. The copper still for the River Rose Gin is also called "Rose". It comes from Germany and was manufactured by the renowned company Kothe Destillationstechnik in Eislingen. Although the distillery has a rectification column, it also enables production using the traditional pot still method. This quality product "Made in Germany" is the basis for the great taste of River Rose Gin. The taste of River Rose Gin On the nose, River Rose Gin has a not too dominant juniper characteristic and the expected intense notes of citrus fruits. The citrus fruits can also be clearly perceived on the palate in River Rose Gin and are complemented by a gentle floral note. The aftertaste of River Rose Gin reveals fine aromas of cucumber and lavender. Overall, a very harmonious gin of high quality!

Journeyman Bilberry Black Hearts Gin 0,5L 45%
Journeyman Bilberry Black Hearts Gin 0,5L 45%

Journeyman Bilberry Black Hearts Gin, 0.5L 45% History of Journeyman Bilberry Black Hearts Gin: The Journeyman Distillery, founded in 2011 by Bill Welter, is fully committed to the production of organic spirits. The principle of the Journeyman Distillery is therefore that all ingredients used must be organic and, if possible, regionally grown and that sustainability and environmental protection are taken into account during production. Although the Journeyman Distillery only opened four years ago, a visit to it gives the impression of an old distillery that has been in operation for many generations. This is largely due to the historic building in which it was built. It is the historic factory site of the EK Warren Featherbone Factory in Three Oaks, Michigan, where corsets were once made. The EK Warren Featherbone Factory revolutionized the manufacture of corsets by using quills instead of whalebone. These were much softer and therefore more comfortable to wear and also had the great advantage of being widely available and therefore cheaper. The factory at that time was extremely successful, which also explains why they equipped the factory floor with high-quality materials such as maple wood. The building has lost little of its charm to this day and gives the Journeyman Distillery a historic flair. Production of the Journeyman Bilberry Black Hearts Gin: One of the most extraordinary products from the Journeyman Distillers is undoubtedly the Bilberry Black Hearts Gin. The basis is a raw spirit made from 100% organically grown wheat, which is then flavored with nine herbs and spices, the so-called botanicals. After 24 hours of maceration, the distillate is finely distilled in a copper still from Germany. This is not a simple compound gin, as is often the case these days. Alongside juniper, the so-called "bilberry" is the main ingredient. The bilberry is a berry that is related to the blueberries known here. However, it is much smaller and very difficult to cultivate. Bilberries also taste similar to blueberries, but have a much more intense flavor. This is also evident in the Bilberry Black Hearts Gin, which tastes very pure and fruity. Taste of the Journeyman Bilberry Black Hearts Gin: The Journeyman Bilberry Black Hearts Gin has a truly beguiling aroma. An intense fruitiness of juniper berries and the eponymous bilberries flows relentlessly through the entire room. In the background there are fine herbal aromas, as well as lemon peel, wild berries and hints of liquorice. The taste of the Journeyman Bilberry Black Hearts Gin also shows its fruity side. Once again juniper and bilberries take center stage. There are also light citrus notes, coriander, ginger and liquorice. The mouthfeel is extremely soft, almost creamy and ensures a long-lasting, warming finish full of intense fruitiness and light herbal notes. With a strong 45% vol. The Journeyman Bilberry Black Hearts Gin is ideal for cocktails and long drinks. A successful gin that can also be enjoyed neat when slightly chilled.
