South of France

In Avignon, in the south of France, right on the edge of Provence, a company has settled that today stands for the pure expression of the Provencal olive. This is the Manguin distillery. It was founded by Claude Manguin, who owned dozens of hectares of land in the 1940s and planted pear and peach trees there. In 1957, he tried distilling his fruit varieties and 'La Poire Manguin, a pear brandy, was born.

Since 2011, however, two other owners have run the company. Béatrice and Emmanuel Hanquiez have made it their mission with the distillery to capture the pure expression of Provence.

Oli`Gin

A very special expression of Provence is that of Oli´Gin. A gin is distilled using the pot still method, the aroma of which is dominated by the salty notes of olives. The two main protagonists, olive and juniper, are supported by salt and iodine tones as well as floral violet notes and are rounded off with a hint of truffle.

Generous Organic Gin Coriander & Combava 0.7L 44% (ORGANIC) A distiller's dream It all began with a vision of a brand that resembles the tree of life and produces the very best taste and inspires you with a variety of aromas. 'Generous' The name says it all: 'generous' means generosity and no expense was spared in this gin. Something special was already thought of in the bottle design and the gin, which was brought to market by the French company Ôdevie, is served in a beautifully decorated opaque glass bottle that is almost reminiscent of a kind of vase. At first glance, you associate a fresh gin with this appearance and that is exactly what you get with the Generous Gin Green. A light and fruity gin in which the juniper notes play a secondary role and above all the citrus notes play a significant role. Here there are mandarin and kaffir lime aromas. These aromas find their way into the gin exclusively through either maceration or distillation. On the palate there are also subtle undertones of red pepper, which give the whole thing a slight spice. The aromas in the Generous Gin Green Bio are precise and well-balanced and leave a lasting impression.

Hendrick's Gin Orbium 0,7L 43,4%
Hendrick's Gin Orbium 0,7L 43,4%

Hendrick's Gin Orbium 0.7L 43.4% Limited Release The new Hendricks Gin is not only visually different from its predecessors, but also has new flavors in terms of taste. The new design of the bottle is blue with a turquoise label, which is probably a hint of the special ingredient in the new gin. Master distiller Lesley Gracie, who has been in charge of producing Hendricks for many years, decided on a new flavor for this limited release. In addition to additional quinine and wormwood, she also adds blue lotus flowers, but the basic recipe remains the same as for the original Hendricks Gin. Even when choosing the name, the distillery did not simply opt for a pump name. 'Orbium' refers to the Latin word 'Orbis' and means something like circle. It is intended to indicate the harmonious combination of flavors in the gin, which of course is not only represented by the Orbium itself, but much more by the entire style of the distillery. New impressions As already mentioned, the original Hendricks Gin recipe forms the basis for the Orbium, which is supplemented by wormwood and quinine, which are primarily responsible for a significantly more bitter note, as well as blue lotus, which brings a light, fresh and floral note to the gin. Together, the three additional ingredients make for an exceptionally complex gin, which may be a little unusual at first, but somehow at the same time also exudes a very familiar, cozy feeling and is convincing all along the line with a long-lasting aftertaste.

Amazzoni Gin Rio Negro 0,7L 51%
Amazzoni Gin Rio Negro 0,7L 51%

Amazzoni Gin Rio Negro 0.7L 51% Basil Gin The Rio Negro Gin combines only 3 special Brazilian ingredients that have never been found in a gin before. Of the existing 5 ingredients of the Amazzoni Gin, two important ones have been removed, only cocoa, Brazilian chestnut and water lily are the secret of this extraordinary gin. Just two years after the release of the Amazzoni Gin, the master distiller Alexander Mazza developed a completely new London Dry Gin with a very complex body. It differs from the Amazzoni Gin in several ways: In addition to a cold-pressed botanical infusion, the Rio Negro version also contains juniper, coriander and citrus peel as solid botanicals added directly to the still. On the palate, the juniper is first clearly evident with bitter notes of cocoa and fresh notes of essential oils as well as the taste of the Maxixe. In the finish, a flood of spices: coriander, cassia and Brazilian chestnut are clearly present here.

Manguin Mandarine Liqueur 0.5L 40% Maison Maguin For over 60 years, Maison Maguin on the island of Barthelasse has been producing the finest fruit brandies and liqueurs to the best of its knowledge and belief based on Claude Manguin's legacy. In the 1940s, Claude Manguin planted several dozen hectares of pear and peach trees as well as other exceptional fruits. Almost twenty years later, they began distilling these fruits and the famous 'La Poire Manguin' with a whole pear in the bottle quickly became the best known product. Under the current management of Emmanuel and Béatrice Hanquiez, high-quality brandies are produced every year. Claude Manguin gives the two of them so much leeway here, because almost any ingredient can be processed into a liqueur. This is also reflected in the product portfolio of Maison Maguin. In addition to a lavender liqueur, you can also find an olive gin or the mandarin liqueur that is now being presented.
