Maison Maguin

For over 60 years, Maison Maguin on the island of Barthelasse has been producing the finest fruit brandies and liqueurs to the best of its knowledge and belief based on Claude Manguin's legacy.
In the 1940s, Claude Manguin planted several dozen hectares of pear and peach trees as well as other exceptional fruits. Almost twenty years later, they began distilling these fruits and the famous 'La Poire Manguin' with a whole pear in the bottle quickly became the best known product.

Under the current management of Emmanuel and Béatrice Hanquiez, high-quality brandies are produced every year.

Claude Manguin gives the two of them so much leeway here, because almost any ingredient can be processed into a liqueur.
This is also reflected in the product portfolio of Maison Maguin. In addition to a lavender liqueur, you can also find an olive gin or the mandarin liqueur that is now being presented.

Mandarine Napoleon 1.0L 38% According to legend, Napoleon's personal physician had the idea in the 18th century to refine the finest brandy with mandarins in order to strengthen his ruler's immune system. Since the emperor liked the creation very much, the doctor and the emperor are said to have often enjoyed a sip together. The Mandarin Napoleon follows on from this legend and the best brandy is macerated in a secret mixture of spices and herbs and mandarin peel. This liqueur is best enjoyed slightly chilled and with a mandarin zest. However, it is also ideal as an addition to coffee, with tonic and in cocktails.

Manguin Oli Gin 0.7L 41% South of France In Avignon, in the south of France, right on the edge of Provence, a company has settled that today stands for the pure expression of the Provencal olive. This is the Manguin distillery. It was founded by Claude Manguin, who owned dozens of hectares of land in the 1940s and planted pear and peach trees there. In 1957, he tried distilling his fruit varieties and 'La Poire Manguin, a pear brandy, was born. Since 2011, however, two other owners have run the company. Béatrice and Emmanuel Hanquiez have made it their mission with the distillery to capture the pure expression of Provence. Oli`Gin A very special expression of Provence is that of Oli´Gin. A gin is distilled using the pot still method, the aroma of which is dominated by the salty notes of olives. The two main protagonists, olive and juniper, are supported by salt and iodine tones as well as floral violet notes and are rounded off with a hint of truffle.

Dzama Arrange Vanille Mandarine Baie Rose 0,5L 25%
Dzama Arrange Vanille Mandarine Baie Rose 0,5L 25%

Dzama Arrange Vanilla Mandarin Baie Rose 0.5L 25% What makes this rum so special? We think the location alone speaks for itself. Who wouldn't want to long for white sandy beaches when taking a sip of fine rum? The climate there offers the best conditions for growing the sugar cane required. This creates a wonderful cycle: the plants release essential oils into the soil and thus into the groundwater, which then returns to the plants through irrigation and enhances the aromas of the plants. Various spices from the islands such as the ylang-ylang vine, special citrus varieties or even Madagascar vanilla also play an important role in the special taste. What other flavor combinations can Dzama think of for the Arrange range? How about vanilla, mandarin and rosé pepper? Admittedly, it sounds very daring when you read this for the first time. But when you taste it, this idea is quickly dispelled. First, the notes of vanilla come through clearly, quickly joined by the fresh, fruity-sweet aromas of the mandarins. Only in the finish do the spicy notes of the rosé pepper berries appear very slightly in the background. Here, too, the individual components of the aromatization can be found in the bottle.
